Commander Manto was about to get angry at the Cadet for his unbecoming behavior. He was training to be a Starfleet officer, and yet he became nauseated over the prospect of being far from home? The concept of having to endure years of service with this Cadet fleeted Konal's thoughts as initial scans showed that Mr. Clark indeed had a fever.
She hit her combadge. =/\= Commander Manto to sickbay, I have a medical situation on the bridge. Cadet Clark is showing an elevated body temperature. =/\=
She felt badly about the thoughts she had of the Cadet prior to her discovery. She thought he was only overreacting to the perceived situation.
"Medical will send someone shortly." In the mean time, Konal opened the emergency medical kit and administered a hypospray, numbing the pain. "We need to get to the root of what's causing your headache, though." Headaches of debilitating nature were not commonplace with twenty fourth century medicine, and indicated a seriousness requiring professional attention.
Now, for the business of their location. Konal checked and double-checked the calculation of the Cadet and the computer. It was true, they were in the Delta Quadrant. Worse, they were in Borg space. Explaining this to the Admiral was her first priority.
"Sir, we have a problem." she said, showing Admiral Drew the information on her screen. "Cadet Clark ran the calculations, and I rechecked them." She almost felt like fainting now, realizing how far she was from home. Luckily she had no ties back in the alpha quadrant. The Cardassian commander still feared being where they were. Borg scared her, as did being far away from help.

Hanson - Bridge (Dr Holsen) Lorna shoved the access panel out and climbed on to the bridge. "Anyone hurt?" she asked as she helped Elenna out of the jefferies tube. A couple of heads were shaken in response to her query but Konal waved her over. She and Admiral Drew were standing worriedly next to a half collapsed cadet. She hurried to the science officer's side as Elenna start to check a cadet with a head injury.
A scan of Cadet Clark showed that he was running a high fever and was suffering from neurological disturbances. She knew that this hadn't happened when whatever had happened to the Hanson happened.
"Can you tell me how you've been feeling? Has anything like this happened before? Any allergies I should know about?" Lorna asked as she continued to check the young man over.
Tag: Clark / Konal.
Over the years Lorna had learned to block out most sounds while she worked but she could not block out the conversation between the CO and Konal that was happening to her left. The implication that they were in Borg space sent shivers through her. She had seen what the Borg could do and didn't need another demonstration.
Hanson - Main Bridge (Elenna) Elenna followed Dr Holsen on to the Hanson's bridge, not somewhere she visited regularly, and looked around. The first person she was directed to was one of the cadets who was working at Tactical. There was a visible bump on the cadet's head.
"Do you know what you hit your head on?" Elenna asked as she started to check the cadet, who did not seem that pleased at being interrupted Elenna continued undeterred "Any loss of conciousness? Dizziness? Double vision?"

Hanson - Main Engineering Dr Entil was given the brush off by the FO and sighed slightly head injuries could be touchy things but he knew that she had had enough of them over the years to be able to make some sort of guess as to the severity of her injuries. There was a long stream of engineers with various injuries, a couple of concussions and a second degree burn from shorted out circuitry were the most serious of the injuries.

Huebner thought to himself, what an idiot I am, that ship out there was really a Borg Cube. A BORG CUBE, oh no this could be really bad.
Methos: "I agree, Cadet Huebner, work with cadets Bennet and Bennet, if they need something, you be the first to offer," he then lowered his voice so only Huebner would hear him, "It's the gentlemanly thing to do."
Huebner replied, "Right away, Sir!", then in turn lowered his voice, "I'm sorry Sir, I thought I had the sensors working better than that, but I guess that's why I'm a Security Cadet, not and Engineer. I'll help the ladies out as you suggest. I wouldn't want to damage my reputation as a gentleman."
Huebner strode over to the Tactical console where the two Bennets were standing. "I'm supposed to help you in any way possible getting shields and weapons on-line then keeping the Borg tractor beams off of us." I have had some past experience working with shield systems so I may be able to make some modifications, but I'll need some help from engineering. Can you two get the weapons back up. As far as the tractor beams go, I think that my plan with the shields may help us in that regard." I'll head off to work on the shields, let me know if there is anything you need while you are working here. I'd be more than happy to get my hands dirty so you don't have to. Ill be getting plenty dirty the way it is. See you in a bit!"
<Tag both Bennets>
Huebner turned to K'ratak and Methos, "Sirs, I have an idea as I have had experience working with shield technology before. If I can leave the bridge and gain the assistance of an engineer I believe that I can not only bring the shields back on-line, but modify them so that they work like the regenerative shields on some newer ships. In addition I can "hardwire" the shields so that they automatically rotate modulation without having to set up a computer program or manually do so. This process will take me about forty minutes, assuming we have all the correct parts and equipment. I can actually do most of the work after the shields have been placed back on line and raised. That way we will not be completely defenseless."
"My plan is to reroute power from the tractor beams to bring the shields back on-line, this power will not be sufficient to raise the shields to full strength, but hopefully it will be enough to keep the Borg off of us until I can implement the rest of my plan. Permission to leave the bridge? I'd really like to explain the whole process, but I think that my time would be better spent getting to work."

Looking over at Methos he nodded his head something was better then nothing. " I have no problem with that Huebner. I do ask that you carry a phaser with you at all times, if we have Borg coming aboard want you to be armed for how ever long that will last. Get the shields up to what ever you can. Make sure you clear it with engineering first they might be doing the same thing or being working on something close to it. I don't want to cause them any problems with you doing something they don't know about okay"
Looking back over at the Bennets, " Get what ever weapons systems on line that you can, I don't think we will be able to fend them off. We might how ever be able to slow them down, which might buy us some time to get out of her. Also be prepared to leave the ship for a boarding party. I'm going to run my ideas past the admiral as a nother way to slow them down as well." <Tag both Bennets>
Walking down to where the admiral Drew was sitting. " Sir weapons are off line I have my cadets working on them now. As well as trying to get more strength to the shields, I was thinking. We could send a team over to see what the Borg are up to and maybe plant some small explosives. This might buy us more time to get out of here if we have to blow them. Not to mention they haven't moved or threatened us yet which is not like the Borg. We might be able to learn something useful from them. Or at least learn why they are not so concerned about us being in there space right now" <Tag Drew>
Looking back up at the view screen and back at the admiral " You haven't seen a black cat walking around have you sir." He knew the admiral would get the meaning of his comment, after there last adventure to gether he was just making sure somebody wasn't playing with them again.

After K'ratak had advised him of his approval of the plan Huebner hit his combadge. "Huebner to Engineering, I am coming down. I have an idea to get the shields back up and possibly supplement them, but I need some assistance." <Tag Engineering>
Without waiting for a reply Huebner strode across the bridge and grabbed a hand phaser and a phaser rifle from a locker. Checking to ensure that all were fully charged he then recalibrated the phasers to rotate beam modulation in the event that he encountered any Borg.
Huebner left the bridge and took the turbolift down a deck. He asked the computer for directions to Engineering and was told to proceed aft along this deck then take another lift down three levels, where he would have to take yet another lift to the engine room.
Huebner sprinted down the hall toward the back of the ship when he spotted an open doorway. Pausing to investigate he realized that the door had been forced. Inspecting the room he found nothing.
Hitting his combadge he called K'ratak. "Sir, this may be nothing, but I have located a forced door on deck 2 section 21A. It's possible that we have an intruder on board. Would you like me to remain here, or continue to Engineering?" <Tag K'ratak>

S'reena briefly froze when the Borg appeared, but soon she recovered and started firing at the enemy. Her first shots killed two Borg, but they adapted quickly and no change of setting would harm them any further. Still firing shots, she re-entered sensor control and tried to lock the door. Sadly, she failed miserably as the Borg simply unhinged the doors and forced their way in. "Get out of here!" she cried at the cadet, as both Borg came right at her.
Before she knew it, the familiar surroundings of sensor control disappeared, to be replaced by the considerably warmer environment of a Borg cube. A second later, the Vulcan cadet appeared beside her. Still somewhat disoriented by the sudden transport, S'reena leveled her now useless phaser at the advancing Borg, trying to hold them off and protect the cadet.
She struggled as she was seized and screamed when a gloved hand came up to her face, assimilation tubules extending from it. There was a blur and the Borg was knocked aside, but the second Borg was not to be deterred and its tubules found their way to her throat. Her scream changed pitch and she lost consciousness.
(bit, take it from here........no further assimilation please! and could someone on hanson please notice we're kind of well....missing?)

Bit wasn't sure what to do he had never seen this happen before. He stood there watching as the commander fell over and the borg turn to inject the tubes into him. Bit paniced and ran and grabbed the phaser from the ground and ran off leaving the commander behind.
he got to what looked like a abandon part of the ship were no borg were currently. He sat down to catch his breath then looked around.
*I have to find a way out of here and to rescue the commander* he thought still catching his breath and on the lookout for any borg.
He finally got it togeather then started to go wonder around and find out how he could get out of the ship. Inside the borg cube was a little different then what he had known.
There had been these stations that he saw some borg in and went to point his weapon at but they did nothing he started to poke one and yet nothing happend like it was out of it. Some of the lights were flickering and the walls were all open exposing countless wires and conduits going every which way.
Bit started to get more relaxed about exploring after passing a few borg and realized that they either didn't see him or they weren't caring about him right now. He looked around and saw some consoles with some buttons on them that he had no idea how to work so he didn't even try.
He kept walking but everything looked the same. He going and turning corners just kind of aimlessly wondering now he had put the phaser off to his side.
It wasn't much longer before bit hit a forcefield and couldn't go any further so he turned around and yet another force field. he was boxed in and saw borg coming from every direction he wasn't sure what to do the phaser couldn't do much and he was locked in. Leading them was the Commander and bit looked up and was a bit shocked
"COMMANDER RUN!!" he shouted but nothing happend she kept coming. they all finally stopped and the rommulan who had almost looked like the commander came closer and stuck tubes into bits neck and bit fell over uncounsious.

"Someone turn that klaxon off!" Noah yelled to everyone and anyone as he sped across Main Engineering for the fifth time in as many minutes. It was hard enough to focus on every problem at once without that constant droning tone pressing against his ears.
"I'm having maintaining Warp Core function, Commander," Roland called over.
"Woti, get over to the Computer Core, and have Trani re-route whatever processing power she can to the warp core. Help her, for that matter," Noah instructed, but then noticed that he was recieving medical attention.
"I'm currently treating Mr. Woti, Commander," Dr Entil retorted.
"Woti, if you're fully conscious and alert, get moving," Noah countered.
Entil didn't look too happy as Woti left. Just then, a red-shirted crewman came in. "You'd better have good news," Noah said, almost glaring at him.
"Unfortunately not, sir. I was sent to tell you that we're presently in the Delta Quadrant, and the Borg are on top of us," said the crewman, whose name Noah recalled being Yatley.
"Oh, you're just full of good news, aren't you?" Noah asked rhetorically. After thinking for a moment, he said, "as long as you're here, try and get the computer to tell you where Cadet Bit-Cloud is. He went off somewhere with Commander Hope."
A few minutes later, Yatley reported, "Neither the Cadet and the Commander are onboard, sir."
"Joy. Get up to the Bridge and let them know that."
Noah turned around to find Entil in front of him. "Yes?" Noah asked roughly.

All of a sudden while he was talking to Admiral Drew the alarm went off again " Intruder alert, Intruder alertt." not waiting for the Admiral to respond he looked at his cadets. With out a word being said they got the message and left the bridge heading for what they knew it was. Before leaving the brige he looked at them.
" Becareful you hear me the Borg are very adaptive, you may got one or two shots at the most. Make sure your phasers are not both on the same Freg, I would also suggest you dont let them touch you either. Protect the crew at all cost and keep a open com link you hear me I mean that. Let me know what you find and keep them out of engineering and key sections of the ship."
OCC sorry so short was trying to draw attention to our missing crew members. Cadet's bennets i'm givning free run at this. Remember you can't stop them from taking crew members, but please be creative and most of all have fun with it thats a order.

Clara turned and walked up to Annabelle and whispered, "You know how you were invisible in sickbay? There's a bit of your head that keeps disappearing..." Annabelle whispered in return “please don’t mention it to anyone. I want to help.” She continued working on the shields but she was interrupted by Dr. Holsen
"Do you know what you hit your head on?" Elenna asked as she started to check the cadet, who did not seem that pleased at being interrupted Elenna continued undeterred "Any loss of conciousness? Dizziness? Double vision?"
“I feel fine. I’ll come down to sick bay if I feel any different. Thank you Doctor”. Annabelle replied and went to turn back to the work station but was interrupted again, this time by Joel Huebner sharing ideas about the shields. He and k’ratak had a discussion about shields, with k’ratak giving orders to both Annabelle and Clara, before informing the admiral. Annabelle set to work on the shields and weapons. The weapons were taking an agonizingly slow time to come back online.
To make matters worse, a klaxon sounded. Intruders onboard. Immediately Annabelle left the station pausing only to reply to k’ratak “yes sir. If possible, could you modify all hand weapons from here, to a random generation of Phaser beam frequencies to buy some more time.” She looked at Clara, then the pair headed towards the bridge utility passages. Using the turbolift would be risky with the Borg roaming the ship so they headed into the shaft traveling down to the level below.
Moving along a passage running close to the officer’s mess, the two cadets froze as the sound of movement traveled through the wall. They moved slowly along to an outlet, then as quietly as possible, Annabelle talked into her comm. Badge. “Bennet to K’ratak. Are there any crew in the mess hall?” <tag K’ratak>
She didn't want to head out into the open more than necessary as with the bump on her head, she wasn't sure her camouflage would be working effectively enough to trick the Borg.

The computer delays were really beginning to frustrate Egan. One request would go through with only a slight hesitation, and others would take over ten times as long as normal. It was certainly making it very difficult to get any work done. The only thing worse than the slow systems seemed to be that every time they did receive any new information it was bad news, very bad news. The very thought of the Borg sent chills down the Lieutenant’s spine, and he was fairly certain every single person aboard the Hanson was feeling exactly the same way. The realization of just how far away from home they were hadn’t quite sunk in yet; there wasn’t really time with everything else going wrong at the same time.
In response to the red alert, Egan was trying to keep on top of energy demands and transfer the necessary power to shields and weapons, but there was a noticeable lag. While waiting for the latest internal sensor sweep, Redos turned his attention Cadet Wolf, working frantically at the console behind him. “Are you having any luck getting the information you need to make heads or tails of the rift we just passed through, Cadet? I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to getting out of here as quickly as possible, and anything you can come up with will be vital to returning to our own space and avoiding the Borg.”
<Tag Wolf>
Once his console signaled the request for a ship wide scan was processed, Egan turned back and found even more bad news waiting for him. “Admiral, I’m reading multiple drone signatures on several decks. So far they seem fairly contained and there aren’t too many of them, but there seems to be some trouble keeping the forcefields up with the computer delays.” Lieutenant Redos reported, causing the tension on the bridge to jump even higher than it already was.
Just when he thought the news couldn’t get worse, an out of breath engineer exited the turbolift and hurried to the Admiral’s side. “Sir, Commander Hope and Cadet Bit-Cloud are no longer aboard the ship. They went down to sensor control, where there’s been reported Borg activity.”
No more information was needed, as the implication was clear. The Hanson’s first officer and the Engineering cadet were most likely on the Borg cube. Fingers flying over the control pad, Egan turned his attention to external sensors, more specifically the Borg cube. “I’m having a hard time getting readings from inside the cube, Admiral. I’m getting some kind of interference.” Redos reported, frustration evident in both his voice and face.
In spite of the lags, the interference appeared to be unrelated, and with some filtering the Lieutenant began to clearer readings. “Sir, it appears the Borg cube was damaged. It doesn’t look like it was caused by any weapons, but perhaps a plasma storm or maybe even the rift we traveled through. They are showing signs of regeneration; however, though it’s unclear how long until the damage is repaired. Their weapons appear to be down, but their shields are still up.”
The damage was at least good news, the first good news Egan had heard let alone delivered. With the cube damaged as well that at least gave the Hanson a chance, though how much of one wasn’t entirely evident. With a few more sensor sweeps and some more filtering, Lieutenant Redos received yet another piece of good news. “Admiral, I believe I’ve located Commander Hope and Cadet Bit-Cloud. They still have their commbadges on, but their lifesigns are…altered…”
The silence that suddenly fell over the bridge at that moment was almost deafening. Everyone knew exactly what that meant, but the Bajoran had to try and believe that there was still hope for them. There had to be…

Listening to Cadet Annabelle report and request for information. " I'm checking the mess hall senors now Cadet. They are not responding I'm getting mixed readings, I would suggest extreme care. Also we have had two crew members taken already, I do not wish for there to be a third. Let me know when you have secured the mess hall, then proceded to senors room. Thats where our two missing crew members were taken from"
Looking down at the admiral and seeing that he was not happy. " Sir we are on the clock now, we need to get over there and get our crew back. The longer they are there the hard its going to be to get them back. Not to mention the borg will know by now how helpless we are. I would also suggest that Commander Hope's Command codes be locked out. That all battle tactics be changed to your verbal orders only."
" We can have a team ready to go in 20 minutes, I can have the security team back here and assign medical and engineering support to the team as well."
He saw the concern on the admiral faces about ordering people over there. "Sir we can ask for volunteers, I'm sure that that the crew will respond quite well to helping to rescuse our crew memebers. Not to mention we could learn whats going on here and why, there's got to be a reason this happened and we do need to know."

"Someone tell me something that is still working properly," Noah called out in frustration.
"Sensor logs are intact, sir," a technician reported from across the room.
"Call up the logs during and surrounding our trip through this rift," he said as he wheeled over to the console. He didn't want to risk messing up the first thing that had gone right so far.
After reading over the sensor logs, Noah spotted the problem. "There, right there," he said, pointing to it. "An energy surge from the rift traveled through the ship. The energy signature looks like sufficient to cause neural degradation."
"Then why weren't we affected?" Brac asked, having come over a moment before.
Noah pondered this for a moment. "Insulation. The gel packs were connected directly to the ship, but air and the body are both terrible conductors of electricity."
"Sir," another technician said, also coming over, "I've been thinking about our communication problem. Our comm badges would still work."
"And therefore we can..." Noah said, catching onto the idea. "Brilliant, Richardson! Roland, take ship communications offline."
A moment later, it was done, and Noah hit his comm-badge. =/\= Commander Bates to all Hanson personnel. By now you've that ship's communications haven't been working properly, or along with most everything else. I've deactivated the comm system, and comm badges should work on their own as an effective means of communications. Commander Bates out =/\=
He hit his badge again. =/\= Bates to Admiral Drew =/\=
=/\= Go ahead, Commander. And well done on the comm problem =/\=
=/\= Thank you, sir. We've discovered that all of our problems are linked to going through the rift. There was an energy surge that affected the gel packs, causing neural degradation within them, thereby slowing computer processing =/\=

Unsure of the dangers surrounding the entrance to the shaft outside of the mess hall, Annabelle and Clara crept out and headed silently towards the mess hall. The information from K’ratak wasn’t as helpful as Annabelle had hoped. They needed to ensure that all crew were accounted for and safe, and if it was Borg in there, then it would need to be reported that they were so close to the bridge. Annabelle listened at the door. Human voices; panicked by the sounds of it. She turned to Clara and gave her a nod. However, she wasn’t ready for the other cadet to open the door suddenly and being met by a food tray swung by one of the 3 frightened crew members isolated in the mess hall. She crumpled to the floor as they gasped and looked at Annabelle in astonishment.
After giving them a look of annoyance, Annabelle bent down beside the fallen cadet, turning her over. The other cadet was clearly unconscious. Great thought Annabelle. Just what I need. Then opened the link to K’ratak. “Annabelle Bennet to K’ratak. Cadet Bennet is down, knocked unconscious. Making my way to sick bay to leave her there.”
<Tag K’ratak>
She continued “There are three crew members in the mess. Advising them to stay put and barricade the door. Then I’m going to head on to the sensors room. Please advise.”
<Tag K’ratak>
She waited for his response then turned to the crew, who were all watching her. “Well, you heard what the man said. Be careful. We are still not sure where the Borg are.” She turned to leave but one of them called after her, “You do know that your forehead has a spot that keeps flashing different colours don’t you?” “yes.” Annabelle responded with a sigh. That was the least of her problems she thought as she picked up the fallen cadet and making her way back to the ducts.

Lorna finished checking Cadet Clark over. He was suffering from a neurological disturbance but it now seemed to be self correcting. She gave him some more analgesia and checked for any damage, to her relief there was none. She adminstered a dose of dimazine to stop the excessive neuron firing that was causing the pain in the first place. Lorna drew a cortical monitor from her kit.
"I can either drag you down to sickbay and run a battery of tests on you to try to figure out what happened or I can give you this rigged to give a warning if there's any further imbalances. Your choice."
Tag: Cadet Clark
Lorna listened across the bridge as Lieutenant Redos announced that the FO and one of the cadets were missing. Lorna swallowed hard, she had got involved in medicine in the wake of a Borg attack and had kept up with all developments since then.
She looked out at the bridge at large "You get them back. I'll get them back to themselves." She locked eyes with the Admiral, promising everything she said.
She rechecked for injuries and finding that the bridge staff were all back together, Lorna and Elenna returned to sickbay.
Lorna hadn't been back in sickbay long when Cadet Annabelle Bennett walked in with Cadet Clara Bennet over her shoulder. Unconcious.
"What happened?" She asked as she helped the Cadet lay the unconcious girl on a biobed.
Annabelle explained what had happened and then left leaving Lorna to care for the injured cadet.

Cadet Clark was receiving medical treatment, and Konal did not interfere. Commander Holsen herself was helping him, which was probably good. The Academy did take kindly to cadets coming back bruised or battered. This particular case most likely wasn't their fault, but the mere appearance of being battered would be enough to cause public relation problems. Konal was hypersensitive to these issues since she became in charge of that department.
"There are an excess of graviton particles on the damaged portions of the cube," Commander Manto reported to Commander Egan. The man had been working diligently with his cadets, and Konal admired that.
"I found that out before the sensors died on us," she said, anticipating his question on how she got them working. "The console actually froze with the data if you wish to view it." The point was moot, though, at this juncture. "It probably was at our exit point, or near it, as we emerged into the Delta quadrant.
She turned back to see if her Cadet was doing any better. Doctor Holsen was questioning him, but he was a little lethargic and slow to answer. Hopefully he would come around quickly, as she needed him to help get some of the sensors back online.
"He did such a wonderful job before aligning everything." Konal said tentatively to Egan. "It would be a shame for our crew if he weren't able to do it again for us." This wasn't Egan's field, and Konal knew it. She had just found a calmness in which she was able to opine.
When the announcement came of the missing Commander Hope and a Cadet, Konal ended her short spurt of talking with the chief of operations. "I better get to work on the sensors. I'm sure we'll need to be looking for at least a Romulan life sign on the Borg cube... and whatever the Cadet was," Konal's memory had faded since the first day she welcomed everyone aboard.
It was a shame that Clark was still having trouble, but she left instructions for Doctor Holsen. "Let me know when he is good again... I need his assistance."

S'reena stood behind the other Romulan Borg, watching impassively as she approached the Vulcan cadet. "Resistance is futile," she said, as the other Romulan reached for Bit, tubules extending from the Borg's right hand, connecting with Bit's throat.
The Romulan first officer felt odd and unwell. Ever since she was injected with nanites that would see to her assimilation, she was feeling unwell and out of place. She was starting to hear voices inside her mind and part of her believed she was going crazy. The other part accepted the new voices as part of her new collective.
"Resistance is futile," she repeated, as she picked up the unconscious Vulcan and followed the other Borg out the room. She felt the nanites course through her bloodstream, then nearly dropped the Vulcan cadet, crying out in pain as an implant erupted through her cheek, and she went blind on her left eye. Her breathing grew rapid and ragged in fear, trying to shut out the voices. Unfortunately, she wasn't trained to block out telepaths, thus she had no idea how to shut out the Borg voices of the collective.
She started to run, now that her fear overrode the collective thoughts, but the Borg caught up, took Bit from her and grabbed her by her arm. She struggled but his grip was strong and she couldn't break free. "Please," she whispered, "let him go, he's just a kid."
"Resistance is futile," the Borg said, his remaining eye starting at her. He roughly shoved her into a seat, positioning the devices that would make a Borg out of her. Strapped in, she watched the drill come towards her, towards the already blinded left eye. She passed out the second the drill touched her iris, only to wake up to a strange type of vision.
She was released from the seat, about to be led to another when she heard a scream. Bit had woken up and was struggling against a single Borg. "We will take him," she said, resorting to the collective "we" rather than the individual "I". She was still S'reena Hope, but she was also a Borg without designation. The Borg beside her seemed to agree and let her walk up to Bit.
"Trust me," she whispered, the red eye glowering at the Vulcan while the healthy eye was filled with fear and sorrow. "He is defective," she spoke up, "we will return him to the ship and assimilate others." The Borg again seemed to agree, and with Hanson's shields still down, it was fairly easy to beam back to Hanson.
S'reena, Bit and two other Borg appeared on the bridge of the training vessel. She waited to see what the Borg would do, while still holding on to the struggling cadet. "We are Borg, you will be assimilated," she stated automatically.

S'reena, Bit and two other Borg appeared on the bridge of the training vessel. She waited to see what the Borg would do, while still holding on to the struggling cadet. "We are Borg, you will be assimilated," she stated automatically.
As soon as the transport was over he stood there just watching as everyone else was screaming shooting and running away. It didn't take long for the bridge to be cleared of everyone either because they were taken or left though the Jefferey's tube access points.
the other three had been going around collecting people that either couldn't get away in time or were too busy trying to shoot the borg. Bit couldn't hear anything so he wasn't sure on what he should do. he watched the others as they left before seeing S'reena come back for him.

It wasn't long before bit fell unconsious again from pain of being assimilated. After being declared defective on the borg cube they blocked out bit from the collective, but that didn't stop the nanites from doing there job.
The nanites had pretty much finished there job and all the pain was starting to get better to handle. After what seemed like a few more minutes the pain was all gone and bit woke up. He sat up and looked around. He wasn't sure where he was or who he was all he knew was he was borg with out a designation.
He sat there looking around sickbay. He could see the doctor and a few of the nurses talking to each other. Other then that no one was there.

Watching the borg beam aboard at will was unsettleing for him. Trying to clear the bridge was even harder considering who there commanding officer was. Seeing Commander Hope as she was now for some strange reason did not bring him any joy. It was true he didn't like her at all even hated her, but not enought to wish this on her. There was no honor in it, he headed for the admiral. He knew the admiral would not surrender his bridge and would not leave, he admired that in him. At the same time it made his job alot harder because his main job was the protection of the bridge officer's.
He was failing in that department right now, he had already lost Commander Hope and a cadet. He may not like Commander Hope but it was his job to protect her as well. Since he lost her he was not about to let it happend to Admiral drew. Taking up a postion to the left of the admiral holding a phaser rifle he grabbed from the weapons lock at his station. He contacted engineering.
" Commander Bates we have borg on bridge I need you to get a transporter lock on the Admiral. Dont beam him out until I give the word, it would be nice to have some shields to stop these unplanned visists. Also Commander Hope is now borg, which means the rules of the game have changed.
Tapping his combadge again " Cadet Annanbelle I need you on the bridge right away, armed to the teeth. We have borg on the bridge Commander hope is now one of them, We need to try and secure her if we can. The Admirals safety is our first concern get her on the double"

Lorna was working on Cadet Bennet, she was concussed with a skull fracture, whoever had hit her obviously had quite an arm. However, she had repaired the damage and while there might well be a residual head ache there would be no permanent harm. All she had to do now was wait for the girl to come round naturally, she didn't want to risk a stimulant after a head injury.
Lorna was worried about S'reena and the missing cadet. In a moment of calm she called up all the information she could find on de-assimilating people. She had read it all before but now she knew she would need it. She started with Doctor Crusher's reports and worked forward from there.

"Acknowledged. Working on the transporter lock now," he said, signaling to Roland to get on it, and turned to a console himself. "Borg can beam through standard shields, and there are multiphasic shielding configurations that are known to at least hinder them, but I'm having enough trouble keeping the ship's basic functions going, and with the computer problems, I don't think we could get them up period. And I just deleted Commander Hope's command codes. I'll see what I can do on the shielding."
Roland gave a nod. "And we now have a transporter lock on the Admiral," he added.

"Billings? Where's Billings?" Noah said, looking around.
"Here, sir," the Damage Control specialist replied, stepping forward.
"I want you to get to work sealing every door, Jeffries tube and hatch leading into this room."
"Aye, sir," Billings answered and headed off to do so.
"Warp core function is stabilizing," Brac noted.
Apparently, Woti had done his job properly. Noah now turned his attention to the shields, at least attempting to fill K'ratak's request.

Smiling kindly at his two students, Lieutenant Redos continued. “Now let’s make sure the Hanson is operating at peak efficiency. Cadet Stewart, I’d like you to go down to sickbay and check in with Commander Holsen. Find out how much power and resources she needs to be as prepared as possible to assist the colony."
"aye Sir" replied James looking at Wolfe as he exited the bridge and stepped in to the turbo-lift. Shortly after the doors had closed upon him he called "Sickbay."
[5 minutes later ]
Suddenly the doors opened and James exited the lift and looked around for the moment and noticed that he had been sent to Deck 15, instead of sickbay's level and turned back to the turbo-lift to find that the doors were now jammed.
He Tapped his Combadge "Cadet Stewart to Redos, come in sir" he called as all he got was static. 'oh great no coms' he thought as he started to look for other personel he hoped that would be on this deck.
sudenly a young female officer came tearing round the corner as the ship began to vibrate as a thought came to him 'is this it?'

Ensign Tracy Everret was in a hurry. The deck was shuddering beneath her feet as she ran down the corridor heading for the turbolift. The comm had just gone down, and the operations officer, who spent most of her time performing one mundane alignment after another, had a very important message to deliver to the bridge. The one good thing about her job was that the station was right next to a window on the belly of the Hanson. Most of the time, Tracy had a great view no matter where the Academy starship ended up, but this time, to her horror, upon glancing out the small view port, the Ensign discovered a massive Borg cube looming close by. With the systems going crazy and the chances of anyone else being near a window slim, Everret had taken it on herself to alert the Admiral.
Ignoring the bewildered looking Cadet standing next to the turbolift doors, a very frustrated Tracy began desperately trying to reprogram the door. Her usually tedious day-to-day existence had just suddenly gone into overdrive, and of course, the doors refused to open. Somehow, she had to warn them… “You…” Everret spat at Steward, in no mood for polite pleasantries. “When did you…”
The question of how long the Cadet had been standing there, and thus how long ago the turbolift had been operational, was cut off by a falling beam. In no way the hero type, Tracy nonetheless reacted automatically. Protecting the Cadets on their first mission was drilled into officers aboard the Academy ships on a far more regular basis than Ensign Everret preferred; however, when the beam was falling towards this as yet unknown Cadet, she had thrown herself in harms way without thought, albeit a few seconds too late as the beam collapsed onto them both.
~
Not knowing how long she’d been unconscious, Tracy woke up coughing, only semi-pinned by the beam resting across her ribcage. After managing to pull herself out from under the debris, Ensign Everret moved to check on the still unconscious Cadet, relieved to find a pulse. A few minutes later and the debris was at least cleared from the young man, and the operations officer knelt beside him once more. “Can you hear me, Cadet? Are you alright?”

On the bridge, Lieutenant Redos was holed up behind his console. Though not exactly a combat officer, the Bajoran knew how to hold his own in a fight and after retrieving a phaser from the hidden compartment nearby fired at one of the approaching Borg. Not having adapted to that frequency yet, the drone dropped to the ground, leaving only Commander Hope, Cadet Bit-Cloud, and one other target. The Cadet did not look well and in fact collapsed to the side very shortly after beaming aboard the ship. The second Borg drone was moving towards Commander Manto and Cadet Clark at the science station, while S’reena seemed to be just standing there in the middle of the bridge.
‘Perhaps she’s still fighting the collective…’ Egan thought hopefully. That gave him an idea, and the older officer jumped up from his crouched position and tried to access the forcefields. If he could just manage to get this one command to go through… “Come on…come on…” the operations officer muttered to himself, trying desperately to get the containment field up and give the Romulan officer a chance to be restored somehow. Cadet Bit-Cloud was a few feet away from the mostly assimilated officer, so if he could just get them both captured…
As the console beeped, signaling the command was going through, the Lieutenant glanced up and realized in horror that the Admiral was still inside the area that would soon be surrounded. “Admiral, you need to leave the command center, now!” Egan cried out drawing the commanding officer’s attention as he was caught up in a transporter beam, disappearing moments before the command fully processed and the forcefield jumped into place around the assimilated Romulan and the unconscious Cadet.
Breathing a sigh of relief at the perfect timing of whoever had initiated that transport, Lieutenant Redos glanced over at the remaining drone before checking power levels for the containment field. As long as the forcefield held, there was still a chance Commander Hope and Cadet Bit-Cloud could be saved.

Cadet Huebner cautiously checked the area for any intruders, then returned to the room where he found a tricorder. Tucking it into his holder he decided that he should continue on towards Engineering.
~20 minutes later~
Huebner had not experienced any new difficulties in reaching Engineering, thought it had been a tense, even terrifying trip. Every noise brought him swinging around with phaser leveled, but he never encountered any Borg, though he did frighten a few crew members.
Huebner tried the door to engineering but found that it was locked from the inside, his security protocols were not sufficient to open the door from the outside. Hitting his combadge he called, "Huebner to Engineering, I am at the door, please let me in." A few seconds later the doors whisked open and Huebner stepped quickly through and the doors whisked closed behind him.
Striding up to Commander Bates he said, "Sir, I have been sent down from the bridge to assist with the shields. I have some ideas about modifying the shields as I have worked with them in the past. If we can get enough power to the shields we can set them up in randomly modulating frequencies which should help keep the Borg off of us for a while. Further, if you happen to have a modulated regenerator coil we could incorporate that into the shield system so that we will have a primitive version of regenerative shielding."

Annabelle was worried. She had just made it to the corridor before the sensor control room when K’ratak came over the comm. Link. “Cadet Annabelle I need you on the bridge right away, armed to the teeth. We have Borg on the bridge Commander Hope is now one of them, we need to try and secure her if we can. The Admirals safety is our first concern get here on the double" “At once sir” she replied. Then, when it was safe to do so without superiors overhearing, she swore and turned to sprint back up the corridor. It would be easiest to switch on camouflage so she could run without being seen by any Borg. She sprinted back to the access tunnels and appeared back on the bridge just in time to see the admiral vanish and a force field appear around the cadet and the 1st officer. She fired on a drone approaching Redos Egan and the workstation currently controlling the force field. The Lieutenant looked a bit surprised to see the beam appear from nowhere but Annabelle barely noticed it. She had already moved, to avoid returning fire. She moved around the bridge, firing shots sporadically at the Borg, to where K’ratak was sheltering while adjusting the freg ready for his next shot. She couldn’t afford to uncloak or she would loose the advantage. She would just have to risk making him jump. “Commander. It’s Annabelle Bennet. Don’t give away that I’m here. What’s the situation and what’s our next move?” she said in a low voice.
