"Thank you Commander, I hope that none of your people will need to use them. Question for you though, is there anything in the hallway that we could use as an explosive, in case the Borg adapt to the phasers? If not can you replicate some old Earth weapons that shoot protectiles, such as crossbows?" Methos asked.
"In the corridor? No, nothing we can blow up out there without comprising ship's systems. But projectile weapons on the other hand...follow me," Noah said, turning his chair around and wheeling over to the industrial replicator over in the corner of the Engine room.
"Computer, access the replicator files. Heading: projectile weapons; subsection: 21st century semi-automatic assault rifles. Replicate with full ammunition," Noah instructed the replicator controls.
"Access to such replicator protocols is restricted," the computer obligingly spouted back, "Enter security code." Noah entered his security clearance, and it began replicating.
Once again, the ship shook. "Now what?" Noah called out.
"Sensors show we're back in the Alpha quadrant, sir," Woti reported, having returned from the computer core.
"Good," Noah said, then took the completed assault rifle off the replicator and handed it to Methos. "Do be careful with this, Colonel. I don't want further problems due to stray bullets hitting circuitry," he said, then began replicating more for the rest of the Marines present.

The ship drew into the port, the mission finally over. Annabelle was glad it was over and hoped that not all missions were that eventful. It was not everyday that you almost got assimilated by the first officer. She packed her stuff up ready to disembark and found a message from k'ratak. He wanted to see her before she left after the graduation ceremony.
She went through the ceremony glad to have finally graduated. She'd made it. She hung around looking for K'ratak. She had a feeling she knew what this was about. K'ratak had been giving her funny looks ever since she'd reappeared on the bridge of the Hanson during the battle. She'd not told many people about her 'skill' and it was right at the bottom of her file.
She found him eventually. He turned as he saw her approaching. "You wanted to talk to me sir?" she said as soon as she was close enough. <Tag K'ratak>

After a few tense moments outside engineering word came that Colonel Methos' Marines had repulsed the latest incursion of the Borg. While casualty information was not entirely reliable the Borg were finally off the vessel.
Suddenly a huge tremor knocked the crew to the deck. As they scrambled back to their feet word came from the bridge that the ship was now back in the Alpha Quadrant, though it was indicated that the Borg vessel was in pursuit.
Huebner looked to Methos and the both turned to Bates.
" We need a Site to site transport directly to the bridge." Bates replied, After all the help you guys gave me it's as good as done." Turning to a control panel he punched several keys then Huebner and Methos disappeared in a sparkle of the transporter beam.
Back on the bridge Methos instructed Huebner to assist Tactical and monitor the security of the Hanson to prevent or at least manage any further Borg incursions.
Huebner thought to himself, "Though I don't know how I got here I could get used to this. These other officers and cadets worked so well as a team and made me feel welcome. I'm going to miss them when this journey is done. I can only hope that the posting I'm assigned is as great as this. I am looking forward to sharing this story with my son however. I sure miss him along with the rest of my family. Hopefully I'll be able to bring them along to my next posting. It's great to be back in Starfleet!"
