Daya, we all appreciate the help, but don't think you are in charge of this operation, Admiral Lin and Commodore Reckus have given us clearly defined orders and we are to follow them at all times," Paikea said to Daya, who was known to do things his own way.
"If your implying that i would do something other than following orders, i can assure you that wont be the case." Daya knew that Pai held a grudge against him ever since he tried to get friendly with his girlfriend, but also knew that competition between one another was healthy.
"Commodore please know that if you life is in immediate danger, I will act," Paikea said to the Vulcan woman in front of her. Personal feelings aside, Commodore Reckus was an irreplaceable officer and leader," while I agree with your plan, you need to be kept safe."
Daya tried to hide his eye roll but knew that someone had cought on to it. He personally had nothing against Commander Apirana, but still liked to mess him none the less. "I'm sure we'll all make sure nothing happens to her."
"I wouldn't worry about that too much Commander, contrary to whatever you may think, Starfleet doesn't enjoy putting it's flag officers in harms way. Whatever we consider will keep the Commodore safe at all times All you and I need to worry about is to keep our eyes on the prize. Ok?"
"If we want to draw the Fleet Admiral out Commodore, then as a "clone" you're going to have to do something very out of character and very dangerous that will force him to act. I'm under the impression that you know Admiral Elron on a personal basis? In which case you're probably the best person here to decide what sort of action would force him into a course of action against you"
"We must proceed to draw him out in an open space however. A confined area would likely cuase him to use some remote means of assassination. If we do it publicly, say on the promenade, then there's a better chance of him making the attempt in person"
He looked around at the group, his eyes then settling on Commander Parsons.
"Mr Parsons, correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe one of your hobbies is target shooting?" He smiled. "I believe I know how we're going to capture Admiral Elron"
Daya's mind was turning as he tried to figure out what the individual was talking about. He was also unsure if he had been introduced to man who was leaning against the wall, but then put that thought aside as he took in what happened next.
Sonak wasn't surprised to see their eyes widen in alarm as she walked away a few paces, giving the pretence of preceding them further down the promenade. When she assumed she was a suitable distance away, she pulled out her phaser, whirled around and fired at both Adam and Demeter, watching them crumple to the ground. She fired off a few near misses at Daya and Paikea, before breaking into a run. Fortunately, they'd be able to easily track her across the station, since she made sure they were equipped with the means to do so.
Daya had grabbed onto Paikea's arm in order to pull him aside to avoid the phaser fire, both men hit a wall and jumped back on to a balanced stance. Daya had already started to run after the commodore when he heard commander Parsons behind him. The Operations Officer turned his head to see Paikea close behind him as he charged down the halls of the promenade.
OOC Maybe i missed the part where we able to find you, so if you could send me a message explaining it, that would be cool

Magellan briefly explained why Sonak had done what she had done and why he had been locked up. Tedak did not seem impressed but Magellan knew he would soon get over it.
"We are reaching the end game in this" He noted, "And I must apologise for keeping so much of this to myself but all along I have had a firm suspect."
"You did?" Tedak said
Magellan nodded, "Its why I asked you along in the first place. Several years ago attempts were made to kidnap Nova, the attempts never really stopped we just got better at stopping them, however it appears the group has been successful. Whilst we have been dealing with the clone the USS Majesty had been acting against the plotters. I recieved word earlier that Captain Cornette has a very strong lead. Our role now is to find the cloning facility and shut it down."
"I still don't see why you need me for that"
"That is a matter of diplomacy. Biomimetic Gel is vital in cloning and lab analysis has confirmed that the gel used to clone Elron and Nova were from the batch stolen from Starbase Assailant by V'Shal."
Tedak grimaced, thinking of the totally a moral mercenary Vulcan woman.
"She is still in our custody but never gave up where the gel she stole went to. The only lead was that at the time she was working for the Tal Shiar to assassinate the Cardassian Legate. More particularly she was employed by your bosses daughter. I need you and Doctor Kennedy to put your heads together and work out where the clones were made and then we go cloe them down. There will be biological clues in his DNA and physiology and with your knowledge of the Tal Shiar I think we can do it. But we have to be quick the cloners will realise soon the game is up and could run."

"So that is what we were nearly blown up for," he growled under his breath, not caring in the least that Lin overheard, "did you know T'Val still hasn't regained consciousness? I had a message from Rayna just before we got here."
He sighed in resignation, not wanting to be turned around and marched back to the brig on the grounds of talking back to an admiral. Not that Lin could, per se either as he did have diplomatic immunity. Or so he assumed anyway, after all he had lost it once and it got him in a fair amount of trouble too. "Are you saying though, that Vebn might be involved?" he queried. "I wouldn't be surprised if he were, I never did trust him."
Straightening, he looked Magellan squarely in the eye. "I'm not saying he's a bad diplomat, or a bad boss at that, I just don't trust him. He kept me out of several crucial developments, Govan Echal included. The latter nearly got me killed at that. I would sooner trust you, and you and I both know that's a fetch."
The Romulan nodded towards the turbolift doors. "If you will excuse me, it seems I have a doctor to assist in her investigation. You will have our report in the morning. Good day admiral." He turned around and marched back towards the turbolifts. "Sickbay," he ordered, as soon as the doors closed behind him. He was acutely aware of Lin's glare on his back, but managed to ignore it.
Minutes later, he walked into sickbay and a small smile appeared on his face as he spotted the doctor. He hadn't forgotten about their dinner date, and it was the one thing today that he was really looking forward to. Still smiling, he approached her, then glanced at the restrained form of Duke Nova on the biobed. "Kerry, you're a sight for sore eyes," he said softly as he came to a halt beside her, "Admiral Lin told me to get down here and assist you in your investigation. What would you like me to do?"

Kerry-Anne stood over the restrained body of the Clone Admiral Nova, he was out cold but she had insisted on the restraints as she had seen his strength displayed against Admiral Lin, and she had no desire to be on the receiving end of it.
Her scans had revealed nothing much except that whoever created the clone was very skilled and a lot of effort had been put into creating him.
The more detailed scans would take more time, longer than she would have liked.
Kerry-Anne turned and said to her nurse Dorothy.
“Can you get me a cup of Coffee please?”
Dorothy nodded and walked off to the Chief Medical Officer’s office. Just as Dorothy entered the office Kerry-Anne heard a voice say.
"Kerry, you're a sight for sore eyes,”
the voice brought a smile to Kerry-Anne’s face but before she said anything he added.
"Admiral Lin told me to get down here and assist you in your investigation. What would you like me to do?"
Kerry-Anne turned to him with a fake look of sadness on her face before she said.
“Oh here for work… and I was hoping you would save me from my boredom.”
She smiled before poking her tongue out at him much the way a school child does after they make a joke.
“There is not much for you to do, unless you happen to have an advanced genetics degree in that impressive resume of yours.”
She looked back down at the clone and sighed.
“but I have to wait for the results of the tests anyway before the real work starts… but what says you and me steal a shuttle and escape to Risa… they have the best poker games there… the natives can’t bluff.’ Again Kerry-Anne grinned.
She had to make jokes because if she didn’t break her boredom she would likely fall asleep.

As Tedak His face turned apologetic as he shook his head. "I'm afraid I don't have a degree in advance genetics," he replied, taking another step closer, quite clearly violating her personal space. Carefully, he wrapped his strong arms around her. "But if you talk me through it I'm sure I can be of help." He pulled her a little closer, though still leaving her enough room to step away if she wanted to. "Our dinner date is still on, I presume?" he asked slowly, tilting his face down a little as he moved to tilt hers up to face him.
His eyes flickered to the prone form of Nova. "How long until he wakes up?" he asked, moving in slowly. His lips were almost upon hers. "How long until your results come in?" he murmured, unaware of the nurse returning with the doctor's coffee.
As Sonak Though she regretted having stunned her own first officer and the strange one Lin had brought along and dumped on her, she found the thrill of the chase unusually exhiliarating. She had a mad dash around the decks, 'pretending' to keep them off her track. Of course, the tracker in her combadge would show them at all times of her location, at any given point on the station, including masked area's.
The Vulcan stopped once to catch her breath, realising that she should work out a little more often. She was slowly approaching Elron's office and she found herself wondering how long it would take before the admiral would make his move on her.
What worried her more was how she was going to convince him she was who she claimed to be, especially given her previous performance to establish herself as a clone. She looked down as she heard something clatter onto the floor at her feet, then realised any action on her part would be too late. She was thrown back and completely blinded when the device exploded.
The force of the blast knocked her to the deck, stunned.
<up to you now boys........and who's gonna npc Elron?>

Kerry-Anne didn’t realise Tedak had mobbed closer to her until his arms were around her, she smiled in a coy manner as she looked up at his face.
"Our dinner date is still on, I presume?"
Tedak asked gently of her as his face cam closer to Kerry-Anne’s she could feel herself begin to blush, and she could feel her heart beat a little faster and harder than normal.
“Of course it is… Highlight of my day.”
"How long until your results come in?" Kerry-Anne didn’t register the question from Tedak in her mind instead she was focused on moving in to close the ever shrinking gap between her lips and Tedaks.
She was mere millimetres away when put of the corner of her eyes she saw, Dorothy walk out of her office.
She kicked her self inside she had forgotten that Dorothy was in there.
She cleared her throat and took a step back from Tedak, she didn’t look to Dorothy instead she looked at Tedak and said in her most professional voice she could muster.
“No Mr. Ambassador your eye looks fine.. however if you continue to feel pain please let me know and I will take a harder look.”
She turned her head slightly and pretended to see Dorothy for the first time.
“Ah Dorothy Thank you.. Ambassador Tedak has been sent down by Admiral Lin to give us a hand.” She looked back to Tedak and asked.
“Would you like something to drink Mr. Ambassador.” A slight look of apology in her eyes.

The Romulan blinked as she stepped away, feeling suddenly awkward and embarassed. He could understand her comment too, though it took him a while to realise what was going on. "Ehh, no thank you doctor, however perhaps some eye drops?" He prompted, trying to play along for her sake, before turning to Dorothy.
"I would like to know what you have come up with in regards to Admiral Nova so far. Admiral Lin believes he is a clone and Commodore Reckus seemed to be under that impression as well. Question remains, how do we prove that he is?"
He was thinking out loud of course, as the commodore already had devised a means, of sorts. "Has the admiral suffered any illnesses in the past, to which antibodies should be showing?" he then asked, trying to sound at least somewhat intelligent on the subject.
Tedak was still somewhat phased by what happened only seconds ago, realising that he had come very close to kissing the poor doctor in public. A second later, he also realised that she'd done nothing to stop him, nothing at all. "Ma'am?" he asked, trying to prompt both women for an answer to his question.
"On second thought, perhaps I should have some tea?" He gave Dorothy a pointed look, knowing that her departure would leave him alone with the doctor once more. He would have to tread very carefully, he knew, very carefully indeed. He had no desire to hurt her feelings, or his own for that matter. "Any illnesses?" he reminded her, to get back to the subject at hand. "We'll discuss what happened later." He offered a smile full of promise, arching one eyebrow at her while his eyes held an odd spark of their own. "Won't we?"

Tyr crumpled to the floor, the barrage of phaser fire overhead almost non-existent as he floated around in his trancelike state. The beam had only been a low level stun, and hadn't rendered him fully unconscious, only slightly helpless, and on his back. He rolled over onto his right and groped for the wall, finally pulling himself up into a standing position. He saw Parsons in a similar state, and with Apirana and the new Commander sprinting off into the distance on the Commodore's tail.
"She only really needed to shoot one of us" he muttered darkly under his breath as the red mist cleared and his eyes began to refocus.
People from the promenade were beginning to gather around them, some offering support to the officers, others with weapons drawn asking questions. Quickly he tried to merge his thought processes into some form of cohesive pattern in order to respond to the barrage of noise being hurled at them.
"Ladies and gentlemen" he finally managed, drawing some sort of silence from the crowd. "I apologise for any inconvenience caused. Has someone informed security?"
"Yes I have" one of the foremost security officers made a half pace forward from the crowd.
"In that case can you please inform them to stand down. This has been an internal security readiness exercise. I am Ensign Talor Larsi with Starfleet Security, and we wished to test the response times of your security systems. Our observers will have noted your personal and system wide response times, and will compile a data report shortly. Again, this attack was not real, but was part of a readiness exercise, and we apologise for any inconvenience"
The crowd seemed confused, annoyed, and agitated as some of the present crew began to speak hurtriedly into their comm badges, undoubtedly attempting to contact Ops. Luckily, they seemed to buy it, and the crowd began to disperse. Tyr grabbed Parsons on the arm.
"Come on, hopefully Elron will be in the open by now, let's hope we can get him before he has a pop at the Commodore"
<TAG Parsons>
The two officers set off at a sprint, following the rough direction set by the other Commanders. Suddenly there was a slight shaking of the ground beneath them, and Tyr reeled.
"Computer, identify the source of that explosion"
"The explosion occured on deck 36, section alpha-23"
"Computer, seal deck 36 sections alpha 15 through kappa 51. Forcefields and emergency bulkheads on all potential exit points, and de-activate the transporter system"
"Unable to comply, command grade authorisation required to enable orders, level 9 or higher"
"Override, Intelligence priority code Beta 788 Magenta"
Soon they had caught up with the other two officers, and were outside the emergency bulkhead that had drop shut to seal section alpha 15 from the rest of the station.
"Three choices" He posed. "We either flood the entire deck with anaesthezine gas and hope that Elron is susceptible to it, we activate the fire suppression systems and hope we can get them both out before they asphyxiate, or..." He drew his phaser. "We do it the old fashioned way"

Tom was day dreaming about the holodeck. "I need a pint... wench I need a pint. I have been slaying a great many beasts out in the forest, and have worked up quite a thirst." He pulled a leather gauntlet off of his right hand, to reveal it stained red and the fingers all stubbed off at the palm. Blood oozed from the injured hand. He heard someone yell out his name. "Gunther Wallace, Turn and face me." the voice sounded far off, but when he turned around the evil witch stood right behind him. He could smell death on her, and feel the room get darker as she stared at him. Her eyes were as green as emralds, and they shone as bright as the sun reflecting off the ocean.
Tom saw the cold hand of the witch reach through his flesh into his chest...He was startled back to the Vesuvius by an alarm on his console. GROOT-Groo. "Admiral we are on final approach for Glanch II." He said. "Shields and sensors are going to be nearly useless but no one will be able to detect us in the rings distortion field, and same for anybody who comes close enough to shoot, "
Tag
Another alarm went off on the console. "Sir I've got another ship nearing the system on long range sensors. It's not Federation, but it's heading puts it on an intercept course.
Tag
It's big whatever it is. We got twenty minuets till they reach us."

Magellan looked up in concern as he listened to Tagerts report.
"Shields up. All hands to Battle Stations" he ordered reflexivly. He hoped that years commanding a stationary starbase hadn't dulled his ability in ship to ship combat.
"Evasive Manouveres Mr Tagert. keep that ship away from us until we know who they are."
It seemed very odd that this ship was approaching now Tagert was a good enough pilot to know if a starfleet vessel had pursued them. That meant something else was happening. He tapped his comm badge.
"Tedak, Doctor. We have an incoming vessel. Check the clone for a sub space transciever, anything he could be using as a beacon. Shut it down. It looks likely that the cloners have found us rather than the reverse."
TAG Tedak and Kennedy
Magellan returned his attention to the main viewscreen. The ship just emerging into sight was a large Orion styled Warship. It more than outgunned the Vesuvius.
"Hail them" Magellan ordered the watch Tactical officer
The officer shook his head, "No response and they are powering up weapons."
There was a shudder as heavy disruptor bolts thudded into the shields.
"Okay Mr Tagert earn your pay. Keep us in one piece whilst I figure us a way out of this."

Commander Mark Harper looked up from his work at the operations station. "Admiral, might I suggest using our multi-vector assault mode?" he asked quietly, "and are you aware that this vessel is equipped with a cloaking device for each module? We could easily elude them without engaging into a firefight."
He stepped away from his console to join the admiral at the center of the bridge. "Hasn't the commodore informed you of this? Or were you not informed prior to your arrival of this vessel's capabilities?" He raised an eyebrow in question.
~
In sickbay, Doctor John Caldwell overheard the call to his new boss and the Romulan diplomat. Personally, he didn't really trust the Romulan but since Kennedy seemed to, he made no big deal of it. What did seem to bother him was the Romulan's obvious flirting, and he desperately wanted to protect her from that. "Doctor, a moment please? In private?"
The young doctor followed Kennedy into her office. "I feel it is my duty to warn you ma'am," he continued in a hushed voice, "I don't trust him. He has a record of being a troublemaker, I've looked him and his collegues up when they came aboard. He had a wife and she divorced him." Unfortunately, he did have that one fact wrong, as Tedak had released her of her vows, rather than her leaving him. Either way, he was right about the Romulan being divorced. "He's dangerous ma'am," he warned softly, before returning to his duties.

Parsons listened to Ensign Lok's explanation and had to keep himself from laughing. "That's right folks, thank you for your concern, please move along now." The crowd began to disperse and Tyr grabbed Parsons on the arm.
"Do you mind, Ensign," Parsons responded looking at Tyr's hand.
"Come on, hopefully Elron will be in the open by now, let's hope we can get him before he has a pop at the Commodore"
"Very well, let's move," Parsons said picking up the pace and putting his hand on his phaser.
The two officers set off at a sprint, following the rough direction set by the other Commanders. Suddenly there was a slight shaking of the ground beneath them.
Parsons had already drawn his phaser and ran ahead.
He identified the Commodore down but not apparently injured, as she was starting to get up. Parsons waived for Lok to stop and knelt. Elron stepped out of the shadows and raised a phaser to finish the Commodore.
With a red flash, Elron crumpled to the floor. Parsons stood and approached the two flag officers with Lok. Elron was stunned and Lok secured his phaser, while Parsons helped the Commodore to her feet. "Are you alright, Commodore?"

"Has the admiral suffered any illnesses in the past, to which antibodies should be showing?"
Tedak asked of Kennedy, but the question did not register in her mind she was too busy looking at Dorothy trying to determine whether Dorothy had determined what was happening between her and Tedak.
He asked Dorothy for a cup of tea and she left back for the CMO’s office it took Kennedy a second or too before she snapped back to reality.
"Any illnesses?" Tedak again asked.
Kennedy looked to him and said. “Hmm.. oh yes antibodies… a mild case of Tarkalian Flu.. but that is a fairly common illness to get on a busy starbase.”
"We'll discuss what happened later." He offered a smile full of promise, arching one eyebrow at her while his eyes held an odd spark of their own. "Won't we?"
Kennedy looked back up at him after looking to the Nova clone for a few moments. “Yes sounds good.”
A few moments later a man walked in, she immediately recognised him from the ship medical records he was Doctor Caldwell, he walked up to her and asked.
"Doctor, a moment please? In private?"
Kennedy nodded and motioned towards her office, as they walked there they passed Dorothy along the way carrying Tedaks tea.
The young doctor followed Kennedy into her office. "I feel it is my duty to warn you ma'am," he continued in a hushed voice, "I don't trust him. He has a record of being a troublemaker, I've looked him and his colleagues up when they came aboard. He had a wife and she divorced him." Unfortunately, he did have that one fact wrong, as Tedak had released her of her vows, rather than her leaving him. Either way, he was right about the Romulan being divorced. "He's dangerous ma'am," he warned softly, before returning to his duties.
Kennedy made sure her face stayed calm, her first thoughts were to tell Caldwell to mind his own business her second was to defend tedak, However she did neither. All she did was disregard anything he had just told her. So what if his wife divorced him that did not make him dangerous.
She stood in her office alone for a few moments collecting her thoughts before walking back out into main sickbay.

Somewhat disoriented, and feeling slightly dizzy, Sonak slowly opened her eyes, only to find Elron crumpled to the deck beside her. Raising herself up to one arm, she discovered someone had extended a helping hand down to her. Gratefully, she accepted the assitance, mentally steeling herself against a possible emotional assault from whoever touched her.
"Are you alright, Commodore?"
"I am, thank you commander," the Vulcan answered, as she got back to her feet. Fortunately, Parsons remained close and steadied her. "Just slightly dizzy. His guards threw a stun grenade at me and I was too slow in getting away."
She took a few deep breaths, trying to regain her bearings as she looked around. Elron's guards were nowhere to be seen and the Avari admiral himself remained unconscious on the deck. "At what setting did you stun the poor man?" she queried, curiosity in her eyes. Once she felt confident enough not to keel over, she moved to kneel beside him. Quick examination showed he was unharmed, merely stunned.
"Well, what now?"
"I suggest we move to my office here on the starbase," Sonak suggested, "his office would be too conspicuous and they will not expect us to head for mine. We will have to move swiftly, we will soon gather a crowd. I assume you were able to avert investigation after I stunned you both?"
She rose back to her feet, again with Parson's assistance. "Paikea, Lok, carry the admiral, and do please treat him with the respect he is due. Once he regains consciousness, we shall be able to explain what is going on." The Vulcan woman grimaced. "Worst case scenario, I shall have to perform a mind meld to explain. I would prefer not to, a mind meld is very intimate and extremely dangerous, if both parties are not entirely conscious."
Sonak looked sideways, her eyes crossing with her first officer's. "Contact the base chief medical officer, we will require his or her assistance. I can, obviously, not treat myself." She was still feeling nauseous, and she could tell he was hovering close; too close for her own comfort.

"What was that all about?" the Romulan diplomat queried, approaching the office, watching Caldwell leave. He didn't fail to notice that the young doctor refused to look at him, and that he failed to offer greetings in the first place. He looked around, staring after the medical officer, then noticed someone in yellows walking in. "Did you expect someone?" he asked softly, snaking his arm around her shoulders a second time. "By the look if him, he looks like an engineer, bionics and all. I'll go see what he wants, while you tend to Nova. I'm sure the admiral is expecting a report by now, and if anything, he isn't a patient man. Not in my experience anyway, but of course that could be just with me...who knows?" The Romulan walked out of the office, towards the engineering officer. "Greetings, my name is Tedak and I've been assigned to help out in sickbay. The chief medical officer is currently occupied but if it's urgent I'm sure she'll be able to see you. In the mean time, I fear you're stuck with me." <Byrne, here's your entry >

Magellan reined in his rising anger, he was not accustomed to being challenged about his orders especially not during a tactical situation.
"Whilst in a tactical situation I would not suggest leaving your post Commander." he began calmly "Return to your seat before I have you charged with dereliction of duty."
Harper looked as if he were about to protest but then turned and retook his seat at operations.
"And that goes for anyone else with concerns. You have no reason to trust me, other than that I am an Admiral. You must comply with my instructions. Mr Tagert how are we doing?"
Tagert turned with a grin on his face, "They arent even getting close."
Magellan nodded, it was clear that whilst it outgunned them the opposing vessel could not outfly them.
"Good. Time to show your skills Mr Tagert. Lay in a strafe that will run along their bows then get tucked in behind them. Tactical when in position target these co-ordinates" he tapped in a series of numbers "That should bring down their shields in the lull beam a full tactical team on to their bridge. Have them secure it and flood the ship with anastehzine gas. Mr Harper will be happy to assist in that I m sure."
***
Down below in sickbay the cloned Duke nova came groggily too. The ship was shaking he noticed and realeased his beacon must have attracted his fellow conspirators. Now perhaps was the time to effect his escape. Nursing a pounding headache he gently rolled off teh biobed and looked around for a weapon. His hands came to rest on a laser scalpel.
The doctor and few men were in the office and there was no way to get past without alerting them. It was then that a nurse emerged from a side door and squealed. Quickly he dragged her by the wrists and pulled her close lifting the scalpel to her neck. Now he had a hostage perhaps there was a chance other than the sucide pill in his tooth.

Kerry-Anne Kennedy smiled as Tedak walked out of her office to see what the new arrival needed, Kerry-Anne picked up the cup of coffee Dorothy had left for her on the desk.
She took a small sip and let out a sigh of relief she placed the cup back down and was then alarmed by the sound of a squeal.
She rushed out of her office only to stop in her tracks as she noticed the Clone of Nova holding a laser scalpel to Dorothys neck.
Kerry-Anne held her hands up to stop anybody from making any rash moves, the Nova Clone yelled. “against the wall or she dies.”
Kerry-Anne got the message and moved along with Tedak and the man she didn’t know to the wall, the Nova Clone took the advantage and ran as he dragged Dorothy with him out of sickbay.
Kerry-Anne took three steps to follow after him but was suddenly stopped by an arm grabbing her around the waist.
She fell forward and hit the deck bringing down the person who stopped her along with her, she felt the weight of the person come down on her back and she let out a scream of pain and frustration.
She felt the person roll off of on top of her and Kerry-Anne rolled onto her stomach and caught a glimpse of the man who stopped her.
It was non other than Tedak she was non too happy but she still said quickly.
“You should have played Rugby Tedak.”
Tapping her Comm. badge while still laying on the floor she yelled out.
“Security to Sickbay.”
Tapping it again she said alarmingly.
“Kennedy to Bridge.. Nova has escaped he is armed and holding a hostage… approach with extreme caution.”
<tag Lin/ Bridge Crew>
looking back over to Tedak she said.
“Next time I tackle you… my back hurts like crazy.”
She softly smacked him on the shoulder as she smiled.

Tedak went to the wall when Nova demanded those present did so; he didn't want the blood of the poor nurse on his hands, though he was quite certain he'd be able to take the admiral down. He held his hands raised in surrender, to indicate he had no plans to go after him. His keen instincts told him that Nova would kill the nurse if they so much as moved, so he held perfectly still while observing the clone, studying him.
"No," he breathed when he saw Kennedy take several steps forward. She didn't appear to hear him, so he reached out and tried to yank her back. Her forward movement however caught him off-guard and as she tripped, he fell down with her, landing hard on top of her. Her startled scream startled him in turn and he rolled off her immediately.
"I'm sorry," he apologised, "he would've killed her if I had let you go." He grimaced at her rugby comment, then laughed sourly. "And what if I have?" he queried her, though in truth he had no idea what rugby was supposed to be. He stepped back, letting her fall back in the doctor-routine, listening as she alerted security to the clone's escape.
"Admiral Lin, please be advised that Nova is highly agitated," Tedak added to the report, "there is no way he can get off ship now, he is trapped. It should be easy enough to track him. With your permission..." He trailed off as the admiral cut him off, closing the connection.
Shrugging, the Romulan turned to Byrne. "You're cleared for duty commander. I suggest you head to the bridge to assist Lin in finding Nova." Once Byrne was gone, he stepped back towards Kennedy. "Are you sure you're all right?" he asked, concern audible in his voice. His frown deepened as she mentioned her back was hurting.
"Lie down on the bed," he urged her, "No arguments Kez, please. Just do as I say, and yes you can be the one tackling next time, I promise." As she lay down on her stomach, Tedak moved his hands over her back, applying pressure here and there with almost practiced ease. "Better?" he asked, after he helped her sit up, cupping her face in his hand. "You still owe me dinner you know," he reminded her. His eyes remained fixed on her, their noses almost touching.
Frustrated, he closed his eyes. "Ahh this is so wrong," he murmured, before he leaned in and this time actually managed to kiss her.

After being stuck in engineering for most of the voyage, Byrne seemed a little odd accepting orders from a Romulan instead of his Vulcan commander. Heading up to the Bridge, Logan ordered an update to his PADD to be able to hand a full report to the Admiral upon arriving.
Getting thrown against the bulkhead, he realized that the ship was engaged in battle. Exiting the lift, he saw a few new crew members navigating the ship and a man he barely knew, commanding them. Yelling to the Admiral, "Commander Byrne, reporting as ordered. Grabbing the railing, he steadily made it to his Engineering station.
"Admiral, I have rerouted the secondary power systems, to shields. All weapons are available. Structural integrity at maximum. Although, I would advise that Mr. Tagert take it a little softer on the Commodore's ship. I can only fix so much."

Kerry-Anne lay on the bed as Tedak massaged the pain out of her back, it wasn;t completely gone and she made a mental note to have a nurse give her a quick checkover to make sure she did not bruise or sprain anything.
Tedaks hand cupped her check as he came closer to her and remarked.
"You still owe me dinner you know,"
Kerry-Anne smiled.
“Oh I know.”
He leaned forward and said frustrated.
"Ahh this is so wrong,"
And then he kissed her, she was stunned for a second she had not expected him to do it, she kissed him back slightly before jumping off the other side of the bio-bed.
She blushed before straightening her shirt and saying.
“Well.. Well… that was nice… but if you call me Kez again I will have to hurt you.”
She said as she poled her tongue at him.
“Well you have to go Mr. I have work to do and I won’t be able to think straight with you here… you should help them catch Nova or something.”
She raised her hand and motioned for the door.
“Go on Mr… Shoo… I will see you for Dinner.”

Daya chased after the commodore with an easy stride, while still keeping his distance. At various time he would look back at Paikea, who would then point in the direction the retreating Vulcan was running. Daya and Paikea stopped at a hallway, to lean against a wall as the commodore had also stopped. Moments later they heard an explosion. Daya poked his head out from the hallway to see what had happened, and seconds after an emergency bulkhead closed. Daya waited until the Parsons and the other officer arrived before explaining about the explosion.
Parsons and the other officer, whom Daya had not been introduced to, pulled there phasers and turned the corner. Daya heard a single phaser shot and the sound a body hitting the floor. He walked around the corner to see Admiral Elron laying on the floor with the Commodore a few feet in from of him, Commander Parsons helping her stand.
Daya moved to grab the stunned admiral along with Paikea, then looked over at the commodore. "I'm actually a qualified field medic, since you wanted to keep this need to know and all. All i would need is a med-kit and i could treat you almost as well as any medical nurse could"

Carefully, the Vulcan officer nodded, while still keeping her eyes on Elron. The Avari admiral was slowly coming round, though he was carefully restrained by Adams and Apirana. "Careful," she warned them both, "Ensign Lok, please find Commander Daya a medkit and assist him."
Once Elron stirred, she motioned for her two officers to release him, but stay close just in case. "I am relieved to find you in good health admiral," she told him, a worried look crossing her features, "you gave us quite a scare when you killed your clone. For a while, we truly believed that you had been killed. I am, therefor, also relieved that we were able to prove the body in the morgue was not you."
So much for stating the obvious. "I regret that we had to lure you out by means of a ruse, but I assure you I am who I claim I am, and I am at your disposal to prove it if you wish." There were several things a clone could not have known about, would have no memory of. This of course did depend on the time of creation of the clone, something Sonak wasn't certain of. "The easiest and most efficient means would be through a mind touch," she offered.
Her old friend seemed to cringe at the very idea; it was obvious he was not convinced. "Admiral Lin has taken the Vesuvius and has captured a clone of Admiral Nova. They are chasing after a few leads that Lin did not inform me of. I was left behind to find you and inform you that the threat is over."
She sat still as Daya returned, motioning for him to proceed and treat her - what she believed to be - minor injury. "Were you harmed admiral?" she queried, once more relieved when he shook his head. "With your permission, and once Mr Daya is done, I shall contact the Vesuvius. I am certain Admiral Lin will wish to speak with you in person."
One of the admiral's guards finally made it to the office, his rifle raised, but Elron warded him off. "Please join us Mr Everson," Sonak invited the guard in, "I assure you, the admiral is quite safe." She turned back to Elron. "Your clone intended to kill us," she informed him, "Commander Martens found evidence of a heavy explosive, and when we started our investigations, Commander Kirk was severely injured in engineering." She continued her report of the events from the last few days, then rose to her feet, much to Daya's dismay. "You may continue your treatment in sickbay," she promised him.
Waving her operations chief off, she walked over to a communications console, tied it in to Starbase Assailant and through heavy decription had Lily contact Lin. "Mission accomplished admiral," she reported simply, "how are matters on your end?"

Confused, the Romulan shook his head, wondering if he had misinterpreted her signals after all. She had returned the kiss, but had abrubtly broken it off, threatening to hurt him if he called her what again? Shaking his head again, he tried to recall what he had called her, while she seemed to push him away.
"I was ordered to assist," he retorted, slightly hurt in his feelings, "I will stay out of your way while we work, if that is your wish." He picked up a PADD and transferred the collected data to it. "I am going to the biolab to run a few tests."
Leaving the doctor behind, Tedak went to the lab, but found he couldn't keep his attention to it. Sighing, he tucked the PADD away and left sickbay after all. Remaining quiet, he stepped onto the bridge, unnoticed by the bridge crew. Unnoticed, until Commander Harper spotted him at the science station. "Ambassador, may I be of assistance to you?" he asked queitly, not wanting Lin to have a go at him again. While his words had only been a suggestion, the Trill's rebuttal had stung his pride.
Tedak shook his head. "No, thank you commander, I am almost done." At that moment the console beeped at him, and he arched his brows in frustration and surprise. "Admiral, you may want to see this," he reported, tapping the station he was occupying. "Analysis show that the biomimetic gel which created the clone of Admiral Nova, shows the same biochemical proportions as the amount that was stolen from Assailant's sickbay. Furthermore, the levels of this substance in the corpse of Elron reveals similar proportions, but there is a slight variance."
He looked up, casting Lin a dark look. "It looks like we were not the only source for it," he concluded.
Now, Harper cut in. "Admiral, there is an large data feed coming through," he reported sharply, just as the purple figure of Lily appeared on the bridge.
Lily smiled at Harper, the smile brightening at seeing Tedak, before she settled on Lin. "Commodore Reckus reports success," she said, her voice sounding almost musical and very pleased, "this data stream is encrypted and untraceable. I made sure of that. The commodore has convinced Admiral Elron that the threat is passed. She asks for further instructions, sir."

Daya went with ensign lok to find a medkit, which wasn't hard. They walked a few yards before Daya spotted a wall panel with emergency supplies. Grabbing the medkit he and ensign lok made there way back to the commodore and admiral. He knelt down next to the commodore and took out the tricorder to scan the commodore's vitals.
"A few bruised ribs, and a small cut on your left shoulder blade. Gimme a few seconds and ill take care of that, your ribs will probably hurt like hell for awhile, but you'll do fine till we get you to sickbay." Grabbing an injector he placed it against her neck and released some pain killers. Moving over to the admiral's side, he held the tricorder out to show his intent of checking his condition. After being allowed to examine the admiral, Daya spoke up "Just a stun, a few burns and nothing major. You know the tricorder can tell things about her that would help prove she is who she says she is. For instance, evidence of pregnancy, i would say at least 5 times. And the fake admiral Elron had traces of bio-mimmetric gel, which im sure you knew already. There were no traces in the commodores scan."

"Very Well" Magellan nodded "Mr Harper please ensure that the raiding ship is fully under our control. Assemble a skeleton team to man that vessel and return it and her crew to Starbase 47 for impoundment and investigation. With their ship in custody and Elron secured we have more than enough to continue the investigation. We shall return to Starbase 47 and hand over the matter to Starfleet Intelligence. Mr Tedak, in the ready room please"
Tedak followed when the door shut Magellan held up the padd.
"This proves romulan involvement. Swear to me you knew nothing of this."
Tedak held up his hands, "I didnt. I doubt very much if this was government sanctioned but as you know there are many parties in the Imperium that work in the shadows."
"Don't I just" Magellan agreed grimly, "It seems to implicate Vebns daughter, but not enough to develop a case. I m sure the Nova clone knows more. Now we know the cloners had Romulan aid perhaps you can...'convince' the clone to reveal more details."
"But hes escaped"
"Not really" Magellan replied, the Vesuvius crew are not inept, internal sensors have been tracking him, he is currently hiding in a nacelle tubeway on deck 6. Security has formed a perimeter. I want you to try and talk him out. Its dangerous in there but I think your more than capable. I ll set course to Starbase 47 immediatly."
