Just before the briefing started, Ian walked into the conference room and sat down. He listened to the conference and when the commander asked if there were any questions, he didn't have any questions, so he remained silent.
Before everyone had left Nika turned to Lt. Arika. “If you get a chance there's something I'd like to ask you about,” Nika said to him. “If you have time.” Nika hoped that she had gotten across the the impression that this was not at all urgent or overly important, since she wouldn't want the ship crashing because she wanted to talk to the CNO for a few moments.
Ian turned towards her and nodded, "Sure, anytime is good really." He walked out of the conference room and onto the bridge and sat at the helm.

Wigram turned his head to the left, but all he saw was a few other officers by the Captain, so he just got up straightened the uniform he was wearing and left.
Making his way to his console on the Bridge he wondered what sort of mission he was in for. Engineering was tough work at the best of times, but when things were shaken he usually had to pick up the pieces. And those pieces were like humpty dumpty, very hard to pick up again.
Wigram: Wigram to Engineering, can you ready for start up sequence, but run all of the system checks, we have had some upgrades and they will need testing.
Duty Engineering Officer: Yes sir, we will run all tests starting now.
Wigram: Start them in 5 minuites if you could, I will just inform the Captain.
He saw the Captain and decided he had better tell her, so he made it noticible that he needed her or rather needed to see her.
Wigram: Captain we are going to run systems tests as the upgrades will need testing. As for the tests I do not think they will interfere with the running of the ship, I will do them- with your permission of course as and when they are needed.

After talking to the Captain Wigram set off for soemthing to eat.

The doors opened briefly to allow the Alpha Shift officers to enter the Bridge, slowly releaving the Delta Shift . LT Truman moved directly to the Engineering console, having completed Re-leaved Lt Michaels at the Engineering console ,
LT Oliver who was occupying the Security/Tactical position was the first to notice the Bridge doors open and the Captain enter from her Ready Room, where she had spent most of the morning ‘

“You're right,” Nika replied to Commander Matthew's statement that there were two dozen torpedoes transported to the Victory without any kind of authorization from anyone aboard the Victory. “Have the torpedoes been scanned to make sure there's nothing in them that wouldn't be in a normal torpedo?”
“Yes, they're just normal torpedoes,” Commander Matthew confirmed.
“Odd,” Nika remarked, letting James know that she hadn't heard anything about this from Starfleet Command. Or at least that was the intent behind her words. “Thanks for letting me know,” Nika said, vowing to look into it. Commander Matthew was right, there were so many reasons this should not happen, and that it wasn't allowed to happen.
Commander Matthew left the conference room, and Nika started an inquiry into the appearing torpedoes. The issue numbers were included in the report the Armory official had filed, and Nika was able to trace them back to Baikonur Cosmodrome. The important part now she supposed was figuring out how they got from the fleet yards to the Victory.
Nika re-entered the bridge a while later, as the Delta shift was switching to Alpha. She let Commander Matthew leave, and hadn't been on the bridge very long when Lieutenant Wigram stepped up to her.
“As for the tests I do not think they will interfere with the running of the ship, I will do them- with your permission of course as and when they are needed.”
“That doesn't sound like it will be a problem,” Nika answered. She knew she didn't need to remind Lieutenant Wigram to check anything, he could do his job, that was why he was a crewmember. “Thanks for letting me know.”
After Wigram left, Nika checked to see if Roberts was still on duty and found he was. She then tapped her commbadge. </\>Cir'Kem to Lieutenant Roberts</\>

Tiberian once again was jerked awake by yet another spatial disturbance. He had just got comfortable n the shuttlecraft's passenger seat, and now found himself wide awake again. Since the rescuing of Captain Edwards and his graduation, Tiberian had done a lot of hard drinking with his fellow cadet, drinking that he had only partially slept off. Giving sleeping up as a lost cause, Tiberian left his taciturn pilot, an ensign whose name he couldn't remember, and went to the back of the shuttle to recover a padd from his foot locker. Idiot that he was, as soon as his posting had been confirmed Tiberian had packed his belongings and hitchhiked on the first shuttle going in his direction. Only halfway through the flight had he realised that his first mission was to be a diplomatic conference. At the academy, Tiberian had very nearly failed his diplomacy training segment, after a holodeck training mission where he had accidentaly boarded a Gorn vessel and according to his instructor "Started a bloody war". He made a conscious decision to not reveal this to his CO. "Coming up on the Victory, sir" The ensign piloting told him "Open hailing frequencies" Tiberian told him, straightening every conceivable thing on his person. "Channel open" the ensign informed him. "USS Victory, this is Marine 1st Lieutenant Tiberian Wong, reporting for duty as Senior Marine Officer. Request permission to come aboard" <TAG anyone who wants me to come onboard. Or you could just leave me out here>
OOC: Hi, I'm Tiberian (Lieutenant Wong if formality is neccessary), hope this first post passes muster.

After a couple of hours, Kae got up from her desk knowing she needed to stretch her legs. She felt the pain work from her calves up toward her butt. ~Man I have been sitting too long.~ She thought, as she laid down on the couch in her office.
Kae picked up a padd, and started going over some of the data on it. It wasn't long before her heavy eyelids closed. She found herself in a wooded area, and she wondered what was going on.
Once Kae looked around, she realized she was dreaming, and decided to go with it for now until she could figure out where this dream was taking her.

Scene- Cmdr Matthew Quarter
“Cmdr Matthew sipped his mint tea and turned another page of the book. He sneezed and again considered a trip to sickbay. But he figured that there was no need to bother them with a simple cold. James realized that his mind was wandering and that he had failed to absorb any of the last two paragraphs of his novel.
“He returned his attention to the book he was reading. There was still the allure of turning pages that prevented him from ever being comfortable with books on PADDs. It was a family thing, he supposed.
“He was currently rereading Citadel, a short novel from earlier in Earth's history.
"He found satire to be one of his favorite forms of fiction, and was interested by the insight it gave into various periods of human history. From William foster The Darker side to Anne B Taylor World’s End, he found the Dark satire to be a very interesting form of literature.
“His console chirped and he set the book down to see what high priority message had just arrived in his mail queue. He turned to the screen and called up the message.
“He sipped his tea, while reading the report on the screen in front of him. Captain Carter at star Base Assailant was sending him the information he requested.

Nika glanced up when she heard the turbolift doors open, and smiled slightly when she saw it was Lieutenant Roberts. "Ma'am, what are the security issues?"
“Care to step into my office?” Nika asked. There wasn't anything specifically high-security about the security issues, but it just seemed like generally a good idea not to discuss this on the bridge. That and she didn't want to disturb those officers trying to concentrate on something else.
“Yes sir,” Lt Roberts replied, and followed her.
Just before she reached the office Nika turned around to see if any of the other senior staff were still on duty, but apart from herself and Lt. Roberts any other senior staff members on the bridge were planning on going off duty soon. “Lieutenant Girade, you have the bridge,” Nika said, then led the way into her office.
As Nika was entering her office she heard the viewscreen activate and a human marine 1st Lieutenant appear on the screen. Nika gestured Roberts ahead her, and paused to confirm that this was in fact 1st Lt. Wong, who she had been expecting. "I'm Acting Captain Cir'Kem," Nika introduced herself, stepping closer to the center of the bridge. "Permission to come aboard granted." Nika waited to see if that seemed to be all from her end, then passed the comm off to Lt. Girade to ensure the marine followed docking procedure.
<Tag Wong>
"Sorry," Nika apologized as she joined Lt. Roberts. "That was our new Senior Marine Officer. I'm sure you'll have to coordinate with him about the security, but probably not until he's had a chance to get settled in a little.
“Anyway, there were just two minor things,” Nika said. “The first is just a reminder that any security arrangements should be kept low-key. We don't want to alarm the diplomats or make them feel unwelcome.” Nika then watched Roberts carefully, hoping he wouldn't take her words as a rebuke, since they weren't meant that way. His talk of positioning security officers around the ship had worried her a little though.
“And the second thing,” Nika said after giving Roberts some time to think about it but not to ask questions yet, if he had any. “Is probably just a miscommunication. Somehow we got some torpedoes that may have been meant for another ship. Could you please make sure they stay on the Victory?” Nika said, since one of her concerns about the torpedoes was that they were being smuggled to some power. It was unlikely, but not so much that she could afford to dismiss the possibility.
Having finished talking, Nika left Roberts a chance to see if he had any questions about her orders or in general.

Tiffani had just finished with speaking to the counselor and had started to make her way to the bridge, she turned the corner and got on the turbolift, along with two other officers who had just gotten off shift.
*Bridge* She stated and waited for the other to to state where they was, headed, they was headed to the lounge ofcourse.
Ensign Sinclair was speaking to Lieutenant Dinsing about the day's going on
*Did you hear about the supposed weapons beamed aboard she questioned?* stated Ensign Sinclair
Tiffani's tried not to listen but it was hard to under the circumstantes,
*Yeah, their in the Cargobay right now, it's very puzzling* stated Ensign Dinsing.
Just as the two was about to carry on it was their stop, they got off.
Tiffani waited till the doors closed *Computer, cancel last request and proceed to Cargo bay*she stated,
Moments later she appeared in the cargo bay, she spotted a few security officer around and the shipment, odd she though, why on earth would starfleet ship two Dozen mark IX Torpedoes to the Victory, she made her way over and inspected them, then spoke to a nearby Security officer.
*I want noone else allowed in this cargobay unless it's myself, the Captain or the Chief Security Officer, is that Understood?* She said speaking to him
*Yes Ma'am* came the officers reply
With that Tiffani made her way out of the Cargobay and back to the turbolift
*Bridge* she stated again, she was only on the turbolift for a few seconds when it came to a stop at the bridge, she walked off, and noticed a few officers glance her direction, she ignored their eyes and the thoughts she was hearing and walked over to the Captain's ready room and Pushed the button to get the Captain's Attention

"Thank you very much Ma'am" Tiberian replied after the Captain had given him permission to come aboard. A lieutenant then guided the ensign through docking procedures before closing the comm link. "Take her in, and try not to crash, I'm already late for the mission starting, I don't need to create a worse impression" Tiberian told the ensign sternly, who carried out his orders with a slight amount of mumbling. Ignoring this, Tiberian went to the back of the shuttle to secure his personal belongings. He heaved his carry bag onto his shoulder, whilst dragging his foot locker in his right hand. The shuttle landed without incident, and Tiberian left it, waving the ensign goodbye as he piloted the shuttle out of the shuttlebay. Tiberian suddenly wondered what he should do. He was on an unfamiliar ship, with no quarters, and he had to report to the Captain. Deciding that reporting in was smarter than finding somewhere to stow his belongings, Tiberian said: "Computer, locate Captain Cir'Kem" "Captain Cir'Kem is in her ready room" the compter replied. Tiberian left the shuttlebay, bag on shoulder and locker in hand, trying not to show that he was struggling with either. He finally reached a turbolift and made it to the bridge. The Victory's bridge was of the exact same layout as the Hepta's, so Tiberian was able to find the Captains ready room, and, after a certain amount of bag juggling, pressed the door chime. "Enter" came a voice from the other side of the door. Tiberian entered, where he saw the Captain and a young lieutenant sat at the desk. Putting all his bags down as quickly and neatly as possible, Tiberian snapped rigidly to attention and offered a firm salute. "1st Lieutenant Tiberian Wong, Starfleet Marine Corps, reporting for duty as requested, ma'am. Ma'am its a pleasure to be here, ma'am" He held both his salute and attention rigid, awaiting the response.

Kaylee was busy reading reports when her commbadge beeped. "You just informed me yourself. I will see you when you get here," she responded, and acknowledged when he closed the link. ~I wonder why he is coming down. Well I won't know until he gets here, so no need to worry about it til then.~ She thought, setting her mind back to the task at hand.
A little bit later she noticed someone walked into sickbay, and she got up straightening her uniform. She walked out to where they were, and she wondered what was going on. A little boy was placed on the biobed.
"Hello, how may I be of assistance?" Kae replied noticing the boy was crying.
"We were having fun in the holodeck, when he decided to climb on some big rocks. He fell from a high location, and he says he is hurting. He won't tell me where though or how badly he is hurt," the woman explained quickly sounding irratic.
"Relax, ma'am, why don't you go sit down, and I will see what I can find out. Perhaps a glass of water? I have a replicator in my office," she suggested, and the woman nodded.
"Nurse, please show this woman to the replicator in my office," she said and they both left.
"Okay, young man, if you don't tell me where you are hurt, I can't fix it. Do you want to hurt forever?" Kae said and he shook his head.
"I fell, and my thoulder hurth. My leg hurth too," he said, and she noticed he was missing his front teeth.
"Well then, I am going to scan them to see how badly you hurt yourself, then I will decided what you need to feel better. I'm not going to hurt you, I just want a looksee," she said as he cringed when she picked up a tricorder. She quickly scaned his leg and shoulder finding he had a fracture in his leg and he dislocated his shoulder. She sighed. ~This can never be something easy.~ She thought and noticed the commander came in.
"If you will just take a seat on that biobed, sir, I will be with you when I'm finished with the boy," she said and turned back to the boy.
"I am going to heal your leg first, I have this object that will help, so don't be scared when I put it to your leg, okay?" She explained and he nodded. Kae got the Osteogenic stimulator, and started working on his fracture. The nurse and his mother returned.
"Nurse, continue with this, I need to move on to his shoulder," she said and the nurse took over.
"Okay, this next part isn't going to be fun, but I have to do this. I have some medicine to help it not hurt any more, but that is just the start. You are going to have to trust me on this one now," Kae said and administered a small dose of Asinolyathin.
Kaylee takes the boy's shoulder in her arms and pushes it back into place noticing the boy just sits there calm as can be. "Your shoulder is going to be sore for awhile, but that will go away. I will be right back, the nurse is almost done healing your leg," Kae said and went to her office. On her desk was a jar full of candy. She grabbed it and took it out to the little boy.
"You were such a good patient, you may have two pieces of candy, if it's okay with your mother," the doctor said. The boy looked at his mother who nodded. Smiling he picked out two pieces of candy as the nurse moved to put the stimulator back in its place.
"There all better now, try not to hurt yourself again," she said and the boy smiled leaving with his mother. Kae walked over to where the commander was sitting.
"Okay, commander, what seems to be ailing you?"

Roberts said he didn't have any questions, and was preparing to leave when Commander Rylka entered Nika's office. Rather than saying come in, Nika triggered the door to open. Roberts glanced at Tiffani, as if unsure whether she wanted him to stay or go, and was just about to make a decision when the bell to Nika's office rang again.
“Excuse me,” Nika said, and left her CTSO and FO in her office, since she knew talking to Wong probably wouldn't take terribly long. “I'll just be a moment.”
<Tag Roberts, Tiffani>
Nika then walked out onto the bridge, grabbing a PADD from her desk and she indicated for Wong to follow her a few steps away from her office.
“1st Lieutenant Tiberian Wong, Starfleet Marine Corps, reporting for duty as requested, ma'am. Ma'am its a pleasure to be here, ma'am” Wong said.
Nika paused a moment to consider the 1st Lieutenant's reporting in, marveling at the number of ma'ams that were stuck in just the two sentences. “At ease,” Nika said, after she had decided how to respond. Then she handed the PADD to him. “It's a ship map, as well as general ship policy and the current mission briefing,” she explained. “Your shift tomorrow will start at 09:00, unless you think that's likely to be a problem,” Nika said. “We're currently on a diplomatic mission, and you'll probably want to coordinate security with Lt. Roberts. Any questions?”

After having his meal Wigram had set everything up for the night than handed over engineering to his deputy.
Engineering did not seem to be overly important at present. The ship was running well and all othe rdepartments had been given orders, so Wigram felt unusually comfortable yet uncomfortable at not being at the centre.
Once in his quarters Wigram checked everything than went to bed. He thought it strange that despite the lack of need for a communal eating area crew members did tend to eat together. He thought it a curious point, which might be worth investigating- privatly.
Computer: The time is 0500 hours, the time is 0500 hours.
Wigram: Aknowleged, computer set the sonic shower.
Once out of the shower he made his way to the Bridge to check on everything.

The bridge was still grey, but for some reason everything seemed brighter. Wigram could not understand, but than he realised, that is must be without a shadow of a doubt the fact that he knew the bridge inside out. Whenever he looked at the bridge he saw the layers beneath the surface.
He suddenly saw something which distracted him, so he moved quickly towards the base below the viewscreen. There was a panel open and it looked untidy.
He moved towards the screen, made sure he was not in the way and than moved towards the open panel. He closed it and than moved over to the engineering console.
Wigram: Engineering, a panel was left open on the bridge- below the viewscreen, please do not let this happen again.
Than he sat down and ran through the systems. The first thing on the list of things to do was the warp engines, nothing usual but the new valves which relased pressure which increase the ships speed very quickly- not a good idea to do all the time, but in an emergency it would be invaluable.
Wigram: Chief Wigram to Chief Navigation Officer, could we meet at sometime to discuss the modifications to the ships engines.
CNO: <<<TAG>>>
But first he got down to the other points on the list.

John stood thinking for a second, I don't rember asking for any Torpeados, he agreed with the captain.
He asked wether it would be best to put 2 men from his security teams near by them to make sure they aren't moved.
even though there was still the problem of them being beamed off the ship, John exepressed his concern.

Tiberian snapped to attention once again: "With respect and your permission ma'am, I would like to begin my duties immediately, that I might familiarise myself with the ship and its operations more quickly, ma'am. If I could have but one or two hours to move into my quarters, and thumb through this ships policy, I should be ready to begin assisting on this mission, ma'am" He offered another salute: "Might I enquire though ma'am, as to where this diplomatic conference is taking place, and which races are involved, I was only given a short mission overview at the on my way here. Some races demand strong security as part of diplomatic courtesy, whilst others see it as an insult. Any information would be more than welcome, ma'am"

“There should be a localized forcefield around the torpedoes,” Nika replied, to John's concern that the torpedoes could be beamed off the ship, then she nodded, dismissing him.
---------
Wong didn't seem to want the whole day to settle in, he in fact seemed rather eager to get started, which Nika supposed she understood, and she certainly wasn't going to object.
"Might I enquire though ma'am, as to where this diplomatic conference is taking place, and which races are involved, I was only given a short mission overview at the on my way here. Some races demand strong security as part of diplomatic courtesy, whilst others see it as an insult. Any information would be more than welcome, ma'am"
“We'll be docked in a station close to the Barisa system,” Nika said. “Mostly the diplomats will be from an assortment of Federation member-worlds, with a few exceptions. I can give you a full list of planets that are sending someone, but I doubt you will be able to draw any sort of general rule from the list,” Nika said. From what she had heard it had been difficult enough just deciding on the placement of the diplomatic conference, and as it was a tenth of the the planets were still offended that it was placed so far away from them. “Sorry if that's not much help,” Nika apologized.
Lieutenant Wong asked for the full list and Nika said she'd send a copy of the information to his quarters, then he left to his next room.
---------
~~The Next Day, Around 14:25~~
“We're entering the Barisa system,” Lieutenant Arika reported, after the ship had dropped out of warp.
A few moments later the main view screen replaced the stars with a humanoid when Commander Matthew accepted the signal. “Welcome to TMLK conference. I'm Maec Kassus, main coordinator for TMLK. You're Captain Cir'Kem of the USS Victory-C, correct?”
Nika nodded.
“I'll transmit docking information to your Chief Navigation Officer. Of course everyone is welcome aboard our station before then, but the first scheduled event is a semi-optional dinner at 19:00 tonight.”
Nika inclined her head slightly, interpreting the semi-optional to mean that while she and probably Tiffani had to show up, not every member of the senior staff did. “I'll be there,” she informed Kassus.

Tiberian found his quarters on deck three, and was shocked to find such lavish surroundings (namely he had more than a bed, a wardrobe and a latrine). He rapidly unpacked his uniforms and other clothing, placing them neatly within his drawers and wardrobe. He then unpacked a handful of personal effects, pictures, his private collection of traditional Chinese and Klingon weaponry, and a large bottle of Romulan ale. The first two collections he placed in varying places around the room, whilst the bottle was hidden at the bottom of his underwear drawer. As he finished, he tried to remember if smuggling was still a court martial offence. Once he finally finished putting an assortment of padds in a drawer, he straightened his uniform and set out to commence his duties. Tiberian rapidly toured everywhere of relevance to him, including the armoury, shooting range, holodecks, Ten Forward, and all the key areas of the ship. He introdcued himself to his marines, and the highest ranking NCO Sergeant Major Martinez. He gave a brief talk on his personal beliefs and goals, before informing them that they would be spending the remainder of the evening doing security simulations for the conference on the holodeck. All the marines jumped to it without hesitation, impressing Tiberian immmensely. They ran all manner of scenarios till well after 00:00, at which point Tiberian dismissed them, saying that they would all go for drinks some time. He rapidly retired to his quarters where he showered, and fell quickly into a deep sleeep.
~The Next Day 14:25 ish~ Tiberian arrived on the bridge, near exhuasted from his day that had begun at 08:30. Half a day of weapons drill and maintenance, with only water and standard rations is enough to tire any man. Tiberian moved past tactical and sat in the advisors seat to the left of the Captain. He'd never sat on the bridge before, and was trying hard to contain his excitement behind his stoney, military features. As soon as the diplomat signed off, Tiberian stod and moved to Captain Cir'Kem's side: "Ma'am, with respect I would like to accompany you tonight, simply for precautionary measures. I would also recommend taking a small, low key security and marine force, and that all personnel going be armed with hand phasers, ma'am" His precautionary ideas stemmed back to a scenario he had run the previous night with his men, in which all the diplomats had turned out to be mindless killers in cunning disguise.

OOC this post is somewhat a back post. Sorry about that. Ive been haveing trouble lately.
<(if you can hear me, i'm outside your office now with a repair team, will have you out soon, also we need to talk)>
The voice seemed to come from nowhere. [Well, at least I got through to someone. Now I just have to wait untill they open my door.] Matti thought to himself.
It wasn't long before the door was opened and the group outside was able to get in.
"I would like this room to be inspected and in running order as soon as possable." Matti said to the engineers as he walked out of his office.
"Commander Rylka, It seems that I owe you one. If I am not mistaken, it was you that heard me. I am curious though, as to how my 'voice' sounded. How weak was it? Where were you in the ship when you heard it? Stuff like that. I am still new to this experiance and am trying to test my skills and as of yet been unsuccessful in many areas, sadly to say in this one as well, untill now." Matti said as soon as he was next to her.
Before he gave her a chance to respond Matti said, "I can tell that you have something on your mind and that you would like to talk about, but I'm sure you have more pressing things to worry about at this moment. I would be glad to set aside some time that we could get together and talk for as long as you would like. Just let me know when and where."

The next day
Upon arrival at the station, Matti seemed to get a feeling eminating from the station that suggested that something just wasn't right. As he was leaving the ship he ran into Commander Rylka, who seemed to headed of the ship also.
"Nice to see you again Commander. Do you mind if I tag along with you on your trip to the station? I normally go alone, but I'm getting a strange feeling from the station itself. I know that sounds wierd but I have no other way so say what it is that I'm feeling."

Kae ran a scan over him, and sighed. "I wish it were that simple, sir. You have contracted Sybolinea Disease, and I need to treate you for it. You will have to remain here for a day or two," she said wishing it was anything but this. She hoped he would participate easily.
Kae administered the medicine, a combination of Triaxline, Botlonine, and Rubline to him. "Now just lay back, and relax. We will make sure this disease doesn't turn contagious," she said.
The next day she realized the crew was leaving to go over to the station. She opted to stay on the ship and headed for her office hoping to catch up on some work. She noticed that the commander didn't seem happy, but she also noticed he wasn't swelling up like a balloon just then.
~I guess we caught it on time.~

Wigram was hard at work when he was disturbed by his comm badge, he was wearing an overall so had to fumble through it to get to the comm badge. But before he could actually do anything it was the Second Officer ordering various officers to the confererence room.
So he took the overall off, it was stained and probably not the best thing to be seem near the bridge. After tidying up he started to walk in the direction of the conference room.
It took a while to get there, as he wanted or rather needed to check things before he left the engineering to his deputy.
But he arrived and oddly he was the first, however that did not stop him from saying.
Wigram: Commander my apologies for being late- I had to make sure of a few certain things before leaving engineering.
