"You are right Xena. I remember now! I think I may have studied mythology in my past. Unfortunately, I don't believe I will be able to refresh my memory." Grace told Xena in her mind, then Jira interrupted.
"Grace, Lani has explained to Harrias about the different weapons and they are replicating them and will transport them to the away team. Xena, has also explained to Harrias that I have been in contact with you. Harrias seems calmer, that you and I are conversing."
Grace turn to the away team, updated them on the Nevada, then she turned to Dr Mercy and Healer T'Val.
"I understand completely how either of you feel about taking up a weapon. We won't know until the weapons arrive if we are pure or not. But if, by taking up a weapon, we can save millions of people, would not the end justify the means?"
Suddenly, Melain appeared "If using this weapons is the only way to stop the virus, then as doctors we must treat them as we would any medical instrument. Even a hypospray can cause harm in the wrong hands. We will save millions, if not more by doing this."
"Colonel, you will need to restrain, Melain. She has been affected and is not herself. I sense more than one person in her." Grace cautioned.
Zhuk and Frek looked at each other, Frek thought "How can I restain my friend?"
Frek heard Grace in his mind "You can, because you must."

With a kick of his heel he sent the last of his attackers thudding to the floor unconciosus. He looked down with interest - this body he had inhabited was strong. He flexed his hand and then ran it through the curly black hair that ran from the back of his head. He paused to gaze in a reflective surface at the essentially ugly visage, all wrinkled and ridged, hardly the clean cut square jawed face he had in reality - well when he had had a body.
Sure now that he had managed to disable the away team from teh Angel he now realised he could finally complete his mission. It was vexing the Angels arrival whilst a bonus - in providing him a body to inhabit had proved most troublesome. First they had attempted to fix the artifact, then they had taken Gremmel and now they had been trying to stop him from destroying the pacifier.
Suddenly the lights came on, and the artifact glowed green oncemore. "Curses" he uttered under his breath there was onle one way the device had been reactivated - someone was in the control room. He had disabled all the Angel crew so it couldnt be them - someone new then.
He scowled angrily - he was Ares once known as god of war to these puny human folk, why was it verything and evryone conspired against him. For millennia he had argured and fought the other elders - and he had been proved right. There pacifist ways had made them weak and now their empire had collapsed, wars had sparked everywhere, plagues ravaged colonies they had once protected - at least - he mused strength would come from it. That had always been his aim - to make people strong - strength came through adversity. Take Randicore for instance - The Elders had put an end to violence on Randicore by using this artifact to supress their anger. But anger was natural and the suppression had now built so that when the Artifact had been turned off muder and war had erupted in hours. He would right the elders wrong. What right had they to make people so weak and passive. How could they allow a whole nation to be denied a part of their psyche. He would destroy the pacifier once and for all - he would free the randicorians then in this new strong body he would go down to them - Lead them to embrace their aggression and channel it to become great.
He just needed to discover who was interfering now and stop them. He stooped to pick up a discraded weapon and began to climb the stairs to the control room.

After meeting with Captain Harrias and learning of the goings on with the away team, Jamey thought about a project he worked on during his Academy Science paper; Polarization of light waves.
“Captain Harrias, I have a suggestion on how to shield ourselves form the energy that is affecting the crews,” Jamey said.
<Harrias>
“Captain, I worked on a theory that involved force fields … using them to filter out energy waves moving in all but one direction … similar to using a polarization filter on a camera to filter out light waves coming from other directions. If we modulate a force field not only by frequency but also with directional emitters; we could block at least some of the energy waves that are affecting the crew. I have the program on the El Sal … it would only take a few minutes to setup. I could, in theory, change the fields’ diminutions to encompass the Nevada as well.” Jamey told Harrias. “This has the possibility of allowing you to reestablish a connection with Jira as well Sir. I don’t know why the connection between Jamey and Gaz isn’t being affected and you are, but the absence of the mind limiting waves can only help us be more in control of this situation.”

- “Captain Harrias, I have a suggestion on how to shield ourselves form the energy that is affecting the crews,” Jamey said. - “Go on Lieutenant.” - “Captain, I worked on a theory that involved force fields … using them to filter out energy waves moving in all but one direction … similar to using a polarization filter on a camera to filter out light waves coming from other directions. If we modulate a force field not only by frequency but also with directional emitters; we could block at least some of the energy waves that are affecting the crew. I don’t know why the connection between Jamey and Gaz isn’t being affected and you are, but the absence of the mind limiting waves can only help us be more in control of this situation.” - “I must say, I also don’t know why it has affected us differently, but it is definitely something worth investigating once we have solved our current problem. As to your theory, go for it Lieutenant. We can take any advantages that we can be thrown right now. We may have learnt a lot more, but we are still no better off truly than we were a couple of hours ago.” - “Aye sir.” The El’Salvador’s pilot replied with a smile and nod, and excused himself from the room.
Harrias smiled, it would be good to have Jira back. He was missing the guiding presence of the symbiont, and it was so.. disorientating to be missing it. He leaned back into his seat, taking a rare moment of peace and warmth before he was brought back to his senses.
- “Good now all I have to do is get Ariennye’s necklace out of her quarters and that will bring forth Hephaestus’ coffin, and then I will see what I can do about setting a trap for Ares. Please take the sword, chakram and sais tooken to ten forward. I will have Hephaestus’ coffin ready in there not to mention it’s better there we will have more room to battle Aries. And if I could have all the crew members in ten forward come test if they are pure of heart or not when the weapons arrive.” - “Negative.” Harrias’ voice spoke out strongly. - “You dare to argue with me?” Ariennye turned to face the Starfleet captain. - “This is my ship. These are my people -” at the sight of a glare from Captain Irae, he smoothly altered his phrase slightly – “Our people. You may have answers for us, but I am afraid that we humans tend to like to do things our own way. The sword, chakram and sais have already been prepared for transport to the team on the pacifier. The coffin will not be necessary, nor any use. Those that are to fight with Ares have already beamed to the pacifier, and we can no longer pick onto their signal to bring them back. It is in their hands now. Lt Cmdr Talla, order the transport.”
His operations officer nodded a reply to him and a couple of seconds later he confirmed that the transport had been made. Ariennye turned to him, her eyes flashing brightly with Xena’s anger.
- “You have made a mistake human. You will lose if you do not heed my advise.” - “Well that is my mistake to make not yours. Now, would you please shut up, and let us get on with this.” - “I should kill you where you stand simply for saying that!” She exclaimed in reply. - “Oh, but you can’t can you? Oh, I couldn’t kill you, I know that. On the other hand though, from what we can tell, although he have strengthened Nokomis’ body to some degree, you are no more powerful than any other strong human being. So really, shut up and watch how this plays out.”
As he finished speaking, he realised where he was gaining his strength from. He had been reunited with Jira, and it had given him extra confidence and conviction to give these crucial orders. Lt Gaz re-entered the room, but before he could say anything, Harrias had already started talking.
- “You are a miracle worker. Truly a miracle worker!”
His elation dropped slightly as he wondered how the away team would fare against Ares…

"It is illogical to use weapons," T'Val replied coldly, "we are healers. We are bound to the Hippocratic oath, to first do no harm. Picking up a weapon to fight is to do harm. I refuse to even harm an enemy, and I will heal any enemy as I would an ally. You may fight all you like, but I will not."
She crossed her arms over her chest and gave the Bajoran doctor a cold stare. She sensed Mercy standing close to her, but she couldn't see his expression as she was standing with her back to him. She didn't know what to make of the feelings she sensed coming from him. "Yes, a hypospray may become a weapon, but as you say it will only do so in the hands of those who do not know how to handle a hypospray. Anything can become a weapon, not just medical tools. However, a weapon used for destruction of lives will generally always be a weapon. I will not touch them."
And that was the end of it as far as she was concerned. They could of course force her to use them, but on her own free will she wouldn't touch them. She glanced over at where Gremmel was now lying on the floor. "Any chance of deactivating the forcefield that is surrounding him?" she asked the Andorian marine colonel. "Oh!" she then exclaimed, "Colonel our firelizards. They could take any medication to Gremmel, though they cannot properly administer it. The firelizards are not retained by forcefields, as they teleport themselves. When Gremmel wakes up a next time, he could administer the medications himself!"

Jamey was standing in the back of the room while this intruder threw the Captain across the room. However, during this small little light show, Jamey noticed a quick shimmer in the person or being that stood before him.
'I knew it,' Jamey thought. Projected image with tractor beam style abilities. The polarizing force field around the ship wasn't strong enough to keep this from happening, mainly because it was stretched to surround both ships.
Silently stepping over to a wall computer access panel, Jamey placed a containment style force field around the room. As soon as he did ... the image was gone ..................
Ariennye Nokomis slumped to the floor ... the force field that was erected around the room was multiplying the affects of the filtering. Nokomis was now unconscious; Jamey stepped over to her and took out his tri-corder.
"Sir, her adrenaline, norepinephrine, and cortisol levels are off the charts. The prolonged flood of these stress hormones will cause shrinking in certain brain areas, particularly in the hippocampus," looking up at both the Captains with a grim look he continued, "A major role of the hippocampus is memory; Sirs, she more than likely will not remember any of this."

OOC: Sorry if I haven't responded directly to some of the tags.
The rioting warranted the deployment of the Imperial Guard. Looting was rampant everywhere…..”Colonel….”…Colonel?...what was a colonel…he was a Tolk in the Imperial Guard….”Colonel….Gremmel…Firelizard…”
Zhuk’s attention was finally returned to the situation at hand. The Vulcan, Healer T’Val, mentioned something about using their firelizards to help the alien reptile.
“Yes, we can try to help him through the use of our guardians, but as I understand it, his death is imminent. Now back to the use of these weapons. These weapons are to be used to trap this Ares, you are not required to fight with them. Once we can lure him into this coffin, you are to keep it closed with your respective weapon. I don’t see the dilemma as you are not causing harm, but will be creating good for all.”
Just as Zhuk finished his speech a blue shimmer appeared. The weapons had been transported over from the Nevada. It was time to see who was "Pure of Heart".

"Colonel, you will need to restrain, Melain. She has been affected and is not herself. I sense more than one person in her." Grace cautioned. An awkward silence followed, and Melain wonderd if Frek's loyalty to her would waver. It did. She would have ran, but she didn't expect him to reach out and grab her. Melain struggled against the hold her Andorian friend had put her in. of all the people she thought would have supported her he was the one. Frek was larger then her, and despite her athleticism he overpowered her. "Traitor!" she yelled, kicking back her legs and hitting him in the shin. "Oww! Geess Doc, I'm not hurting you!" Frek cried out, Melain had expected him to let go and bounce around the room in agony, instead his grip tightend. The weapons had been transported over from the Nevada. It was time to see who was "Pure of Heart".
As the weapons materialized, Melain wiggled out of Frek's grasp and grabbed the nearest one, a sword and held it aloof. The sword's light immediatly grew blue, then waverd into white, then blue again as if it couldn't decide.

OFF .... ok .... is it just me .... or is this a bit much !!! If no one else will ... I will ... I'm calling you on this one ... stop trying to make this your story Nokomis ... this is Sci-Fi ... NOT mythical fantasy !!! You react to the post that was before ... not cancel it out by doing some heroics that isn't even explainable by the Sci-Fi world. If this was a fantasy RPG ... then yeah ... but we are not.

OOC: Okay, as we need this mission completed by the end of tomorrow (Friday) I think it would be easiest if we disregard the most recent post by Lt jg Nokomis. While I appreciate the work that you have been putting in Ariennye, as Jamey has said, this is a Star Trek rpg, not a Xena one. As it stands, we have discovered that 'Aries' is simply a projected image via tractor beam, and Nokomis is unconscious on the floor.

OOC: Pieces in italics are written by Lt JameyParker Gaz
IC: - "Sir, her adrenaline, norepinephrine, and cortisol levels are off the charts. The prolonged flood of these stress hormones will cause shrinking in certain brain areas, particularly in the hippocampus," looking up at both the Captains with a grim look he continued, "A major role of the hippocampus is memory; Sirs, she more than likely will not remember any of this." - “You know Lieutenant that might not be such a bad thing, not to remember it. On the other hand, the rest of it sounded very bad. I think it would be prudent if she was moved to sickbay. Captain Irae?” - “Yer right, tis very bad for ‘er. Ah’ll ‘ave the Lt transported righ’ away, an’ iffen yer not be needin’ me Cap’n?” - “Of course Doctor Captain.” He smiled warmly at her.
The El’Salvador’s captain nodded, and the pair disappeared in a shimmer of light. Jamey was seen to quickly work on a console, and when he turned back, Harrias raised an eyebrow. - “Lieutenant?” - “I was just erecting a field around our sickbay, to protect Nokomis from any further intrusions.” - “Our? Oh, sorry, you mean the El’Salvador.” - “Yes Captain.” He grinned - “Well, we seem to have our problem sorted out Lieutenant. But I am assuming we do still have the problem of this ‘Ares’?” - "Yes, we do have that don't we. I suggest that we get in contact with our away crew and see if they can't find the controls to this Ares guy and shut it down. If they can't, they still need to be ready to 'fight' this guy by his rules. Maybe the alien can help us out he seemed so willing before to help us ... and if Ares is trying to hurt the one thing he has spent a long time protecting, then maybe he will help us." - "Maybe, always too many damn maybes... Nevermind. From what Grace tells me, Gremmel isn't going to be able to help us. But at the same time, I'm not sure I'm happy with taking him on at his own game. But sometimes, I suppose, that is all we can do." "Yes Sir, sometimes you just have to let the thing play out. May I suggest that each member of the team have a personal, emergency transport device. At the very least they could activate it if things got bad for them." - “Sounds like a plan Lieutenant. I presume that you can sort that out?” - "We transported the items that were needed to the artifact didn't we sir?" - "Grace reports that they received them, aye." - "Then we can also transport the device directly to them. If you will excuse me then, I will go to the transporter room and get them and do so." - “Of course.”
With the approval from Harrias, Jamey was gone to the Nevada's transporter room. After arriving, he went to a supply locker and obtained the emergancy transport devices and placed them on the transporter pad. Back at the controls, even though he couldn't get a lock on the away members, he could still tell where they were and place each device on each team member.
- "Lt. Parker to Capt. Harrias, from what I can tell from here .. each member now has the device .. could you check with Grace?" - “Somehow, all I need to do is know it and she finds out, I do hope this doesn’t continue. Almost as soon as you finished talking she thanked me. And so, I pass on those thanks to you. Good job.” - "Thank you Sir... Parker out." Jamey replied, relieved.
Harrias smiled. There was definitely hope now. And hope was a great great thing to have.

(O.O.C I'll see if I can help speed things up a bit)
Melain looked down in horror at the blue light shinning from the sword in her hand. 'I.. I don't understand! Someone's tampered with this blade!" she spun around and glared sharply at the rest of the away team, the sowrd ready in her hand
"Mr. Thelev..." Colonal Hrisvalor began,
"I know sir, sorry about that." Frek replied. "please don't make me have to stun you Melain, put the sword down."
"But I'm pure of heart! by the Prophets Frek, you of all people should know that..." Melain argued, was Frek the traitor, it seemed so, or maybe the colonal...
"Right now I'm not so sure, you're threatening to attack us, that's not a peaceful or pure thing to do." Frek argued, unholstering his phaser.
Melain, search within. You are not alone, you do not wish to harm either of us. someone, something else is in you head, controlling you, rebel against it and turn away. Melain heard the voice of Counsellor Grace in her head.
"I know who it is! It's you! You've been controlling us!!" Melain lunged at the counsellor, who stepped aside swiftly, Colonal Hrisvalor disarmed Melain in a single movement and Frek fired his phaser, a miss.
Melain's headache returned with a passion, violent feelings and desires rose and fell within her and she collapsed onto the foor.
"Stuart, T'Val take the other two weapons. Grace, take the sword you'll have more luck then any one else. Frek, keep an eye on Doctor Lorre." Colonal Hrisvalor ordered.

Grace held the sword and it turned white. The same thing happened to the weapons T'Val and Mercy picked up. All three did not seem happy, T'Val most of all.
Grace wasn't happy either, but knew this was something that needed to be done and since she was a Star Fleet officer, this was sometimes required in that part of the job description.
At that moment some emergency transport devices appear. Grace quickly explained about them. She also gave a little giggle, which caused Zhuk to give her an alarmed look. "Sorry! The Captain is not too comfortable with Jira contacting me. Oh, Jira and Harrias have been reconnected, by the way." Zhuk gave a small smile imagining the look on the Captain's face, knowing that Harrias can't wait to get Grace out of his mind.
Grace put on a serious face and turned to her other "pure-heart" companions "None of us wants this job, but if all goes well we won't have to fight. Colonel, we'll follow you."

OOC: This is a joint post between Stuart and Zhukarak. Also, I agree with what has already been mentioned. This was going way out of hand. Will try to help wrap this up.
IC:
T'Val picked up the Sais while Stuart reached for the Chakra, not exactly sure if that was what he wanted to do.
All three persons with their respective weapons had a glimmer of white. The assumption was correct, they were pure of heart.
Aloud roar could be heard from the far side of the room. A huge Klingon figure appeared from a set of stairs...Ares in the missing crewman's body.
"Who dares to meddle with my affairs. You humanoids will not stand in my way in the destruction of this Pacifier. For it is only natural that wars are fought and that blood is shed."
Zhukarak saw what looked to be a triangle on the floor, big enough for a person to stand in. He had noticed a similar shape on the control console where Gremmel had been sitting. He wondered. Zhukarak had caught the attention of the other three, and pointed out the spot on the floor.
Stuart noticed the Colonel's intent first. T'Val and Grace then saw it too. They proceeded to spread out while Ares was busy giving his speech about wreaking havoc throughout the galaxies, and how he would then take over. In his overconfidence, he did not notice that he was adjusting his own position, ending up on the triangular spot.
"Now, who is first to die. Don't think I did not notice your feeble attempt of surrounding me. You do not posess the proper strength to use those weapons against me either."
That was the moment. Zhuk activated the button on the control panel hoping it was the right one. A yellow shimmer appeared from the triangle, surrounding Ares.
The weapons in the two doctors' hands and Grace's started to glow. Stuart could feel his own to start to pull towards Ares, growing in intensity.
"What is this? What are you doing to me? This cannot be, no..no...nooooo!!!"
The weapons were being pulled in by the yellow beam. Their holders could not keep them anymore. Each was released to only be flung towards the elder known as Ares. They did not strike him, but instead disappeared into the beam, along with Ares and the Klingon body.
Zhuk looked on with a curious look, as did everyone else. "I think we have found Hapheastus' coffin I believe. A prison of some type, I think." For all Zhuk knew, Ares was torn apart molecule by molecule, but he did not think that was the case.
A small moan could be heard from behind Zhuk. It was Gremmel, along with Theel'zhiin and Yade sitting by his side while he was still hanging on. Zhuk could sense the feeling of gratitude through Theel'zhiin.
"Counselor! Would you please give him our thanks? As I don't agree with Ares' methods, I do agree with his reasoning. We still need to shut this pacifier down to keep it from affecting worlds the way it has and to solve our own disease problem. We also still need to get those missing crewmen back to our own ships."
Grace saw to the last moments of Gremmel, while Dr. Lorre was being attended by Healer T'Val. Stuart went ahead and followed the two Andorians in retrieving the missing Angel crewmembers.

Gremmel lay slumped on the cold steel like grating of the control room. Concsiousness came from him like the ebbing of the tide. He recalled strange creatures bringing him medicine and for a time that hypospray had eased his torment, but he knew he was dying knew that he would join the other passed Elders... or would he.
As he felt one of his more lucid states overtake him he pulled himself up and deactivated the forcefield. Grace and the three doctors were quickly at his side. "You need not worry about Ares, the coffin has banished him from this plane. I am sorry for his host." "He is dead?" Mercy asked "I...I am afraid so. Few beings survive molecular disassocitaion. My scans reveal your other officers are down below." "Are they alive?" Zhukarak asked "Indeed, but injured" Mercy and T Val looked up, "We'll go down to them." "Very good Doctors. Frek here will escort you. Just in case." Gremmel sighed heavily, "Try and relax" Grace told him "Thankyou Grace, but I must explain. You must repair the artifact or else the Randicorians are left with violence and anger. When I began to die I lost control of the artifact, it malfunctioned and began to leak the psionic radiation that controls the Randicorians. I thought it was my malfunction - but the terminal here shows that all artifacts in teh universe are malfunctioning, Randicore is unprotected and the radiation is having a terrible effect on you here it seems to activate normally dormant neuro-viruses. You must fix it and restore peace to Randicore, supress their negative feelings again. It is my last wish." Zhukarak eyed Gremmel a moment, "That explains why people are acting the same where the Nevada came from. But I m not sure its right for us to fix the artifact. Its been used to supress a whole race. Its not a decsion I can make on my own Captains JIra and Irae must make that call." Gremmels eyes saddened, "very well. I turn the artifact over to you Zhukarak. You are now caretaker. Destroy it or fix it - that is your choice." He reached over and pressed a button. A green light engulfed Zhukarak, "The control room now acknowledges you... choose... wisely.............." With that he slumped his eyes still open. Lorre ran a tricorder over him, "Hes dead." She noted, "And from what I can tell the radiation leak is increasing, unless we stop the artifact or fix it all of us will be insane within the hour."

Grace was sadden by the demise of Gremmel. She considered him a friend. But now was not the time to grieve
She reached out with her mind and found the Captain's symbiot, Jira. She explained to him about the decision before the Colonel.
Jira let her know that he would inform Harrias and he would give her the Captains' decision "And one more thing, Grace"
"Yes, Jira?"
"I think once the away team is safely back on board, we should discontinue contacting this way. It seems to be annoying my host and I don't want to do that anymore than I have to."
"I agree fully, you can have the pleasure of telling him yourself. I look forward to hearing the Captains' decision about the artifact. Hopefully that will be our last contact."
"I think I will miss our talks."
"Me too."

It was weird. Now that Jira was part of him again, Harrias could feel himself communicating with Grace, but he had very little control over it. He kind of knew how it was happening, but it was a feeling that he could only describe as unique. His head spinning from the experience slightly, he started to think about the decision before him. He already knew that were they to blow up and destroy the pacifier, it would radiate its signal in all directions, with three or four times the current strength.
He took a deep breath. Even if it came to that, it wouldn’t have the range to get further than Randicore, and there would be time for one of the two ships to escape. But that would still be damning Randicore to the consequences. Really, there only was one decision. He felt his symbiont communicate his decision to Grace.
He looked about the observation lounge, which was now somewhat emptier than it had been with Lt Parker, Captain Irae and Lt Nokomis all having left.
-“As it stands, Gremmel has died and left Colonel Hrisvalar to deactivate the device. We have but an hour to wait to discover our fate one way or the other. Let’s get back to our posts, and prepare to leave. Dismissed.”
The remaining members of the room filed out, back to their posts on the bridge.
About half an hour later, Harrias’ commbadge bleeped. He tapped it lightly.
=/\= Captain Jira here. =/\= =/\= Captain. We have managed to shut down the pacifier. Once Gremmel had passed control to me, everything started to make sense. The controls were written in andorian. I an only assume it was designed to adapt to the controller. The people of Randicore now live without the influence of the pacifier, for better or for worse. I have programmed the device so that it will destroy itself safely, after moving a good distance from Randicore. It won’t hamr anyone else sir. =/\= =/\= Very good XO. Mr Talla informs me we can now see your signal to beam you back. You ready to leave yet? =/\= =/\= Aye sir. Right away would be great. =/\=
The away team were transported back to the Nevada, including Dr Mercy and T’Val, whose shuttle had been taken into the sovereign class vessel’s shuttlebay after the pacifier had rejected it. The Angel crew had also been beamed over. After a short conversation with the newly sane Dr Lorre, she informed Jira that no personnel were showing any signs of the madness, and that although the Angel crew were suffering terribly from malnutrition, they would recover quickly.
Harrias opened a comm channel to the El’Salvador. - “Dr Lorre tells me everyone here is recovered, I assume it is the same for your crew Captain?” - “Aye, there is nothin’ of th’ madness left ‘ere Cap’n” - “That is good news. The Nevada is leaving for Assailant now. We might see you back there?” - “Mebbe Harrias. Twas good t’ be serving alongside you again.” - “And you. May our next meeting be sooner and under better circumstances. Harrias out.”
The trill CO lowered his glance to Cmdr Thelev. - “Home then please Commander. Let’s make good speed.”
OOC: Okay, I know I wrapped it all up a bit quickly there, but I really did want the mission finished. Thank you for everyone who took part, and to Admiral Magellan for setting the mission up. It was great simming with the crew of the El’Salvador, both on a professional level, as you are all great simmers, and on a personal level, with it being my old ship. Hopefully we can do another mission together sometime in the future, with a bit more interaction between the two ships.
Nevada crew, as you know, we have a new mission starting up next week, I’ll probably be starting this on Monday, unless anyone wants a longer break.

(O.O.C just have a bit of unfinished business to clear up, call it a prologue if you will) As soon as the artifact was destroyed Melain felt a wave of peace, as if some veil had been lifted, or some horrible diformity removed. She didn't apologise for ger actions, maybe in the future she would but for the moment no one seemed to expect her to. Before Destroying the pacifier The Nevada and Al' Salvador crew sent for the Dradrian refugees who arrived on an ancient transport, no all fully healed, and took the trip home to the Andromeda Galxay. This took little convincing, the Federation was anxiose to send them home and they where all desperate to go home, well not all. The Dradrian child Masally did not want to return with her people. This did not surprise Melain as the girl had no family left, and her deafness was abhorred by the rest of her culture. For a while she would stay on board the Nevada under Melain's care who was intent on finding a way to restore her hearing. (O.O.C sorry about the odd style, I watched Hamlet last night )
