OOC (out of character): Vice Admiral Paul Drew is currently on personal leave so I will NPC (non playing character) him until he returns, if and when that is necessary to do so. Note to any CNO cadets: Hanson will NOT depart SBC until August 17....we have our reasons...the first 2 weeks of mission shall be spent docked at SBC...it will soon become apparent why. *devlish grin*
IC (in character) Commander S'reena Hope was glad that her CO, Paul Drew wasn't on duty when she arrived on the Hanson bridge. After her trial, she'd done her best to stay out of his way as much as possible, even though she bore him no ill will. He'd done his duty, and she had accepted the consequences of her actions without protest.
She knew security would be monitoring her movements for a while, and that was quite fine by her, as long as they didn't interfere with her own duties. Now, she settled in her chair on the bridge, knowing Drew would arrive sooner or later. The Romulan first officer signalled the duty chief of operations to open a station and shipwide communications channel. "This is Commander S'reena Hope, all staff and cadets report to USS Hanson. We shall depart in a few hours!"
(tag: all instructors and cadets...please find one another and introduce yourselves)
The first person to arrive, much to S'reena's dismay was Paul Drew himself. To her horror he looked awful, as if he hadn't had any rest in days. Feeling she should confront him, as cadets really shouldn't see him like this, she rose from her seat to meet him at the turbolift, preventing him to walk down to his own seat. "In all respect admiral, you look horrible," she told him, meeting his angry glare with a worried look of her own.
"It is my duty to look after you," she told him, "therefor I am sendng you off duty. The Hanson isn't leaving just yet, I'll page you when we're ready. I have a lovely countryside program on the holodeck, you should try it." To her surprise, Drew left without further complaint.
S'reena exchanged a look of wonder with Salek, who had just arrived on the next turbolift car. When Drew was gone she smiled. "Good to see you back here," she grinned, "miss us did you?" She checked her PADD. "With Brelev in hibernation, you're assigned to coach the new medical trainee..." she conferred her PADD before continuing, "...a Ferengi named Nack."
(Salek/Nack)
Surprisingly, this time the staff was rather swift on reporting. Max Smith piped up from engineering that he'd arrived and was ready to give the engines a good overhaul. S'reena informed him that he would soon have a female cadet named Kiara Sienta report in to him. "I'll send her down to engineering," S'reena promised.
(Smith/Sienta)
The Romulan was just done when this time a cadet arrived on the bridge. She moved forward to the navigation's console and stood waiting there. "You must be Cadet Cassandra Marsh," S'reena asked her, "I'm certain your instructor, Commander Shinsei, will be arriving soon. I'm Commander S'reena Hope, first officer."
(Shinsei/Marsh)

"You must be Cadet Cassandra Marsh," S'reena asked her, "I'm certain your instructor, Commander Shinsei, will be arriving soon. I'm Commander S'reena Hope, first officer."
Cassandra turned with the biggest smile she could muster and forced her palm into that of the commander's.
"Pleasure's all mine, commander!" she suddenly stopped herself, noticing she'd been vigorously shaking S'reena's hand and let it go. "Um, sorry, ma'am. Pre-flight jitters."
"Of course, cadet." said S'reena as she turned with a slightly puzzled look on her face. Cassandra faced the viewscreen again and rolled her eyes.
"So much for first impressions..." she muttered to herself.
OFF: Sorry for the short post, looking forward to writing more!

Crystal had heard the mission was going to start soon, so was unsurprised to receive the communication from Commander Hope. Except for the fact that it was Commander Hope and Crystal had been worried of what would come of the court martial. Crystal hadn't gone to the ceremony, had just heard about it afterwards. Crystal knew she wouldn't have done well if she had gone, since Crystal still didn't have a clue why S'reena would lie for her sake.
Crystal arrived at the bridge, and saw a cadet waiting by the navigation console, talking to S'reena. Crystal waited a little bit, then stepped forward as she saw Commander Hope leaving the cadet. “Reporting for duty,” Crystal said, first going up to S'reena, but avoiding making eye contact. Crystal had no clue what S'reena thought of her right now, but doubtless it wasn't nice.
Her reporting was acknowledged, and Crystal wondered briefly what the upcoming mission would bring. Crystal hoped she would manage to go through it without annoying the Captain, especially since she had a cadet this time around. Crystal stepped up next to the cadet standing at the navigation console. “Cadet Marsh?” Crystal asked. “I'm Commander Shinsei, navigation instructor,” Crystal introduced herself and smiled at the cadet.

After S'reena's trial was finished and judgment bestowed upon her, Salek escorted his friend Felix to the transport vessel that was going to transport him back to Starbase Assaillant. All Felix had with him was his attaché case where all data pads containing records and evidence related to the trial were stored. That would go in the JAG office archive computer back on Starbase Assaillant. As after all even tough the trial was held on SB Conqueror, Felix still had to account for any case he is working on no matter where its trial is held.
When they reached the shuttle bay the man and the Vulcan shook hands and said their goodbyes as not one nor the either knew when they would see each other again. After Felix boarded his shuttle and initiated take off procedures Salek left the shuttle bay. He was about to go back to his ship which was again going on a new assignment. But unknown to him at the time a man was heading in his direction. A man carrying orders which would alter all of Salek's plans. Orders which would bring two old friends back together again.
As Salek was walking towards the turbo lift a man approached him, a man, bearing the rank insignia of a Captain, a man whom Salek knew only from reading his record. A man whose job was to issue transfer orders to people least expecting them, a man who was known as "the carrier pigeon".
"Cmdr. 1st Class Salek?", the man asked but it was apparent he already knew that the Vulcan was the person whom he was looking for
"Yes", Salek replied
"You are here by served", the man said as he gave Salek a pad before disappearing into the turbolift seconds before the doors closed
Salek looked at the pad and read its contents which were as follows.
***Starfleet Command - Intelligence Division*** **Transfer Order issued to CDR1C Salek, Director of Field Operations, USS Blackhawk** *You are hereby reassigned to the Starfleet Academy, Section 47, Starbase Conqueror, USS Hanson as CNS Instructor. The transfer is effective as of now. Your personal items have been transferred to your quarters on board the USS Hanson. You are to report to your new position ASAP. *
--FYO--You can thank me the next time we speak--FYO--
Signed: Head of Starfleet Command - Intelligence Division, Admiral Livtok Nor
After reading the information stored on the pad Salek almost smiled, but he did not do so. He was as pleased about this as any Vulcan can be. He wanted to return to the scientific waters for a while now and this was the first chance he got to do so. He would, of course own Admiral Nor a favor now but that was of little importance now. When the doors of the turbolift opened once again, he entered the lift and ordered it to the Hanson.
--Half an hour later, USS Hanson, Intrepid Class, Bridge--
When Salek got to the bridge of the Hanson he saw Admiral Drew willingly depart to get some rest. Well that was illogical behavior for a human, he thought. But perhaps as illogical as it may be, they are actually becoming more logical. He let the issue slip of his mind as he concentrated at the matter at hand.
So he would be teaching the medical cadet the fine art of getting people to report for checkups? This should prove interesting enough.
"Perhaps the first thing i should teach him is how to get a certain First Officer to report for a routine medical checkup", he said looking at S'reena.
S'reena chuckled as she cast her friend a mock-glare. "You could certainly try," she retorted, "fact remains that I still prefer to stay well away from sickbay unless I really need to be there. Routine check-up isn't on that list, sorry." She knew though, that she'd report eventually...or get persuaded/forced to report. Yet, she also knew that this once, she would report without protest...but she wasn't going to tell Salek that.
Seeing his cadet did not seem to have showed up yet he sat down in the counselor’s seat on the bridge. It would take a bit of time to get used to curing psychological issues rather than physical, but it should not be overly difficult.

Jason had arrived on Conqueror a day before and he had made sure to do nothing but spend time with his new wife, Angel Paris. It wasn't Paris anymore, but that was more than alright with him. He like everyone else assigned to the Hanson heard S'reena's call to report to the bridge. He was happy to know that she had been relativly cleared of the charges. Jason did realize that this episode might cause a rift between there Co and XO, but hopefully it wouldn't last long.
As he entered his quarters he made sure to unpack the few things that he had brought with him. Angel was going to stay on Conqueror and so these quarters would now be his temporary quarters. All he had brought with him were some changes of clothes and his wedding picture. They couldn't be together, but Jason would make sure to have a long, very long conversation with Angel every night after his shift ended.
He finished unpacking rather quickly and decided that it was time to report to the bridge. As of that morning he didn't have a cadet, but hopefully that will change. When he entered the bridge he saw that there were a few people there already. Two cadets and three instructors one which was a Vulcan. He had yet to meet him, but the way that he was conversing with S'reena meant that they were friends.
"Commander Hope, glad to see you in the chair," Jason said smiling," most systems are ready to go. Just have to realign a couple of wires."

Crystal stepped up next to the cadet standing at the navigation console. "Cadet Marsh?" she asked, "I'm Commander Shinsei, navigation instructor," Crystal introduced herself and smiled at the cadet.
"Oh good!" Cassandra shook the commander's hand with both of her's. "When do we start?" she asked eagerly. The commander smiled.
"Soon enough." Crystal motioned for Cassandra to sit in one of the chairs lining the navigation console. "Have a seat, cadet." they both did so. "How long have you been flying?"
"Let's see," Cassie rolled her eyes back in thought and came up with an answer. "since I was four...so 'bout twenty-one years now, ma'am." she smiled
"You're joking right?" the commander was surprised.
"No ma'am. First ship I ever flew was the family freighter..." Cassie tried not to say any more but she couldn't contain her urge to tell the story. "I accelerated into warp so fast that I nearly tore apart the structural integrity field and busted a nacelle." she giggled. though her story was followed by silence. "But, of course, that was a long time ago ma'am, I'm...I'm much better now."
"I hope so, cadet. Why don't we start now, hmm?"
"Oh, sure, of course. Right." Cassie glanced at the multiple consoles that faced her. "Let's begin."
"Have you ever seen an Intrepid's navigation console?" asked the commander.
"No ma'am," answered Cassandra, her eyes still circling the panels. "but they're pretty much all the same." This answer puzzled the commander though she did not let it show. She chose to grill the cadet instead.
"Cadet, where is the RCS control?"
"Right here, ma'am."
"Okay, and your impulse matrix?"
"Right here, ma'am."
"Good, and your manual flight override?"
"Here, ma'am."
By the time Commander Shinsei had asked fifteen questions, Cassandra had answered all of them correctly. Cassie was trying to contain her excitment as her instructor realised that she'd memorized the conn's entire layout.

Nack, ready to hit the ground running, entered the bridge. He stated calmly, "Nack reporting for duty." as he stood at attention. Either nobody heard him, or they were too busy to care.
A group of commanders were convened around the center of the bridge talking. A cadet was getting grilled with questions at the navigation console. From what Nack could tell, she was answering them correctly, but he had no way of knowing for sure.
Stepping closer to the commanders, he re-announced "Cadet Nack, reporting for duty."
Commander Hope stood up and introduced herself and Commander Reynolds. Lastly, she introduced Salek. "This is Commander Salek, our Ship Counselor. He will be your instructor. Our usual doctor is not available for this mission so you will be training with him."
Nervous, Nack muttered "Hello, sir" and bowed. Coming out of the bow, Nack spoke. "I don't have much experience being a counselor, but I'm willing to learn. Perhaps this will help me with my bedside manner." Nack started to ramble. "Back on Bajor, I had a lot of people telling me I needed to work on it. As long as I can practice medicine, I'll be alright. Not that I want to tell you how to instruct me, but.. "
Salek cut him off mid-sentence before he got too deep. "I am sure you will be fine. Let me show you what you need to know to begin."

"Now cadet if you will follow me, i will show you our ships sickbay", Salek said as they started walking towards the turbolift
He had already observed his cadet from head to toe. He did not overall confidence in the ability of a Ferengi doctor. In fact it was illogical even to see one in this line of work instead of trying to make a profit. But he did not intend to create stereotypes. After all there were Ferengi in Starfleet before and they did just fine so this would most likely do the same.
"Now cadet do not let the fact that I am a counselor concern you. Even tough I am a counselor I have a degree in Emergency Medicine and Surgery. Otherwise it would be illogical for me to tutor you in the ways of a chief medical officer on board a vessel.", he said
<Tag Nack>
When Nack responded to their statement they had already arrived to the deck on which Sickbay was located.
"Now cadet if you would tell me something about what experience you have with using Starfleet issued medical equipment and supplies? And of course something about the training you received so far", he asked as the sliding door opened to let the two enter sickbay

S'reena watched Shinsei drill her cadet from the centre chair, once again agreeing with herself on her decision to protect the promising young instructor. She did take note of Salek and his jittery Ferengi cadet leaving the bridge. She turned in her seat to look up at Reynolds. "Good to hear systems are go," she acknowledged his report, "remind me to pass it on to the admiral when he gets back on duty." She knew she'd have to face the admiral longer than a few seconds sooner or later, and she desperately wanted to re-earn his trust, and his faith in her. She'd been feeling miserable ever since she returned to duty, and it just didn't feel right. At last she sighed and rose from her seat. "Commander Reynolds you have the bridge. If anyone needs me I'll be in sickbay." That comment drew a few surprises, it was a well known fact that she never went to sickbay on a voluntary basis. S'reena smiled to herself as she stepped into the turbolift. "Sickbay," she said and felt the cart rush down. When she entered sickbay, she found Salek tutoring his cadet. She coughed politely to draw their attention. "Commander S'reena Hope reporting for physical and psychological evaluation...voluntarily," she stated, as she stood waiting, her hands clasped behind her back. She felt nervous, and knew her hands would be shaking if she wouldn't clasp them together, but she needed to do this. (salek/nack....salek has instuctions on this Mr Nack

Crystal found herself quite impressed by Marsh, both by the cadet's apparent memorization of the navigational console and by her enthusiasm. Of course, Crystal wasn't exactly sure what she would be able to teach Marsh. Especially with the ship not actually moving at the moment. That tended to lead to less piloting and more standing around bored.
“Well, you seem to know all the pre-flight information necessary, but we still can't really leave for at least an hour, until the Captain gives the go-ahead.”
Crystal then smiled, since there wasn't much to do except try to get a feel for the young woman she was going to be teaching. “So you've been flying since you were four?” Crystal asked, still not quite sure how that would work.
“That's right,”Marsh said, seeming a little annoyed at having to repeat it. But Crystal could barely remember even being four, and the idea of having such a young child control a spaceship at that age seemed like a recipe for disaster.
“Then you have quite a few years on me,” Crystal said, smiling slightly. “I didn't learn until after I was fifteen, although I have to say I didn't exactly do brilliantly my first time either. So did you learn most of what you know from your family?”

Off: i know your techincally now in sickbay, but i've been away visiting with family and just now got time to actually post any.
ON:
"This is Commander S'reena Hope, all staff and cadets report to USS Hanson. We shall depart in a few hours!"
Kiara was on the starbase when she heard the call for all Cadets to report to the Uss Hanson, she hurried up a conversation witha Fellow Cadet she had been having and made her way to the Hanson, she was running late to report in but she knew she would make it just barely, she fianlly found herself on the Hanson and made her way to the bridge, she turned a corridor and another before she found the turbolift, she entered it
*Bridge* She commanded and it took off, it wasn't long before the turbolift stop again and she found herself on the bridge, she made her way to where the Captain was sitting and reported in*
Looking at the captain she commented *Cadet Kiara Sienta, Reporting in* She waited for further orders
S'reena looked up from the PADD she was holding and on glance identified the cadet as the one who had visited her in the brig. "Welcome aboard cadet, I trust you could find your way back without problems? Your instructor is Commander Max Smith, you are likely to find him in engineering. Please report to him as soon as possible. You will meet fellow cadets soon enough."

"So did you learn most of what you know from your family?" asked commander Shinsei, observing Cassandra's composure.
"All of it, actually." Cassie placed her hands neatly on her lap. "Well, I should point out that my family consisted of my parents and about twenty hands. My mother used to say that I helped her pilot when I was in her womb, that I was born a natural."
"And are you?" asked the commander, to Cassandra's surprise.
"I guess we'll find out." Cassie smiled. "You see commander," she pursued "some children play with skip-ropes and some play with action figures. My parents gave me a five-hundred thousand ton starship to play with. Needless to say I didn't have many friends growing up. My own age, I mean." she sensed that she'd begun to ramble and stopped talking.
"Well, I look forward to seing you in action, cadet. Until then, I think you should familiarize yourself with the ship and settle in to your quarters. We'll call you when we need you."
"Thank you, commander Sinsei." Cassandra smiled, stood and began walking towards the turbolift. She noticed that Crystal had begun analysing starcharts but didn't concern herself with that.
When she stood in front of the turbolift doors, she had to wait there for a good minute or two. With the ship preparing to leave it was apparent that the lifts were conjested with passengers. Finally the doors opened and she hopped in. "Deck four." she commanded and the turbolift rushed off.
On deck three another passenger embarked the lift, he was a human ensign and had a tan uniform. Cassie nodded and smiled but feared unnecessary conversation. The man was big, maybe a security officer or a strong engineer or something. She hadn't enough time to decide before the lift reached her destination and booted her off.
Cassandra wandered the halls, looking intently at the numbers on the many many doors that lined the corridors. She was getting closer to her room, 412, 414, 416, finaly, 418. She looked the door up and down. "Computer, access." she commanded.
The doors instantly opened revealing a moderate room, not very large but not overly small either. In the middle of the room was a table with two chairs, on either side was two bags of clothing and personel effects. Cassandra recognized her name on the strap of one set of bags and set out to collect them. She then realised that the other bags must belong to someone else and then realised that she would be sharing her quarters with that person. "Great." she thought.

Just when the Ferengi cadet was done answering Salek's question commander S'reena Hope showed up in sickbay for a routine medical examination.
"Well cadet", Salek said, "It would appear you get to have some practical experience in running routine medical exams even sooner than you expected", Salek said
"Now i trust you know where to begin", Salek said after he pointed out one of the bio beds which the cadet can use to examine the first officer
"And be sure you run a DNA analysis and make sure that the person you are examining is Cmdr. S'reena Hope", he said

Nack followed Salek to the sickbay. Salek reassured him that he would get the best medical training possible. Nack replied with a distant "uh huh". He had heard the Vulcan speak, but his mind was busy in curiosity about all the surroundings along the way to sickbay.
"During the Dominion war, I lived on Bajor with my parents. They are hu-mon." For some reason, Nack felt that part was important. "Because of their work, I was constantly surrounded with medical equipment. In fact, my first toy was a broken medical tricorder." Nack realized this wasn't answering Salek's question, although Salek was showing no sign of disinterest. Of course, he wasn't showing much sign of interest either.
"After the war, I continued to study medicine on Bajor, with my parents. While I have no formal degree, I have picked up a few profitable specialties." Nack started to smile in a sly manner, but quickly caught himself.
"I am proficient in holographic programming. Especially when it comes to holographic medicine. I have actually designed and implemented a successful holographic lung for a dying Ferengi mudtoad." Nack paused and grinned, waiting for some sort of praise. He received none.
"When I was older, I helped my parents by acquiring medical supplies for their various triage centers. The study of buying and trading led me to Ferenginar. Ferenginar was interesting becau..."
::Enter Commander Hope::
Nack went immediately to attention, as if his life depended upon it. Commander Hope gave him a polite nod and nervously asked to have her mandatory evaluation. Salek decided to let his Cadet hit the ground running.
The medical tricorder made a series of quick high-pitched noises as Nack passed it over the commander's body. "Patient identity confirmed; Commander S'reena Hope."
"How are you feeling today Commander?" Nack asked as he grabbed for a padd to view her medical history. The commander laid on the bed with her eyes closed. She gave no response.
Nack continued with the tricorder. "Romulan vital signs are normal," he said, now nervous. It was clear that the Commander did not want to be here.
"Patient's blood pressure is high, but within tolerable range. Immune defense system is operating within normal parameters".
Since Nack had only really seen triage medicine performed, he didn't know what else he was supposed to ask. He inquired on her medical history after finding evidence of a previously broken arm, but resorted to the padd when it was clear he wasn't going to get a verbal response.
"Alright... I think that does it for the physical evaluation." Nack stepped back and looked at Salek, hoping Salek would step in at this point and either declare the physical exam a success or nicely point out any mistakes that were made.

Kiara looked puzzled as the Captain gave her orders, but she suspected it, when she had first seen the captain, she wondered now if it had been a bad idea going to see the cmdr while she was in the brig, she shrugged it off and responded *Understood* she then turned and headed to the turbolift as she entered and the doors hissed shut she sighed slightly and ordered it to Engineering, it seemed like minutes to Kiara before the turbolift finally came to a halt, she exited it and made her way into engineering, she looked around and at first she didn't spot anyone, then she noticed an officer standing over by the warp core. She made her way over to where he was standing
Excuse me she said I'm Looking for a Cmdr Smith, i'm suppose to report in to him. she said.

ooc: any late arrival reporting in, please pretend you arrived before the lockdown took effect.
ic:
S'reena lay as still as possible on the bio bed, her eyes closed as she had no desire to see what the medical cadet was doing. If she saw, she only became more nervous and it was bad enough as it is.
When he seemed done, she slowly opened her eyes and sat up, her gaze crossing Salek's, and then the cadet's. "Am I done?" she querried, knowing full well that only the physical part was done. The psychological evaluation was still to come, but as she didn't particularly like spilling her emotions to a counselor she really wanted to get back to work now. "How about we make an appointment," she offered, eager to get away from this place.
Just when both Nack and Salek opened their mouths to respond, the ship suddenly went dark for a few seconds (until emergency power kicked in) and the red alert lights started blinking. S'reena was just glad that the alarm hadn't kicked on with it. "Saved by the bell," she grinned, though it wasn't a heartfelt grin, and she sped out of sickbay, nearly smashing headlong into the door when it failed to open. She stumbled back and grunted, as she rubbed her shoulder.
(Salek/Nack)
Scowling, she opened the door manually, and ran on. When she tapped her combadge, nothing happened and when she called up a turbolift, the panel remained dead. Again she scowled and entered the nearest Jeffries tube. By the time she'd reached the bridge, she was drenched in sweat and panting for breath. "Report!" she cried as she emerged from the hatch.
(Reynolds/Ardawen)
After their report, her eyes widened in surprise. "A lockdown?" she asked, "how did that come about." Her gaze locked with the security cadet's. "Gather all security teams, wake the nightshift if you have to and sweep the ship. Look for any possible intruders that may have caused the lockdown." She glanced up at Reynolds. "With Daya on leave, you lead the security teams and help cadet Ardawen as best as you can commander."
(Reynolds/Ardawen)
Spinning around to face the navigation's team, S'reena quickly glanced around the bridge. People were working furiously, all having surpised or fearful expressions on their faces. Some actually looked infuriated. "Marsh, Shinsei, make sure the Hanson doesn't start to drift. We're still attached to Conqueror. You there," S'reena pointed at a crewman, "run down to engineering and inform them we seem to have gone on lockdown. Transporters and communications are down, tell them to keep an eye on ship's systems. Bridge control has priority."
(Shinsei/Marsh)
Then she gasped. "Drew!" she exclaimed, "he's on one of the holodecks!" She could imagine his infuriation at his program shutting down just like that and being unable to call for maintenance...or for help. That, or the safeties had gone offline. S'reena dearly hoped he'd been running the program she suggested to him, as it was a program she used to entertain her children as well, and therefor knew the program was safe.
The crewman had run down to sickbay as fast as current situation allowed him to, and out of breath he appeared in engineering. "Ship's on lockdown," he managed as he was gasping for air, "bridge control must be priority on fixing, keep an eye on all systems." He barely delivered his message when his eyes rolled up in their sockets and he sagged to the deck, having fainted due to lack of air.
(Smith/Sienta)
Meanwhile, S'reena sat down in the command chair, worrying about what was going to happen. With the ship on lockdown, they were easy target for possible enemy lurking about and there was no way to evacuate safely. Transporters were offline and docking hatches were sealed. Nobody could board or leave the Hanson until the lockdown was lifted, and until they knew what had caused the lockdown in the first place, they couldn't even do that.

"You know commander, the term of main power offline usually can be associated with the automatic door opening system to be offline as well"; he said to S'reena as she rubbed her sore shoulder
After the commander managed to open the door, Salek turned to his cadet who stood next to him still attempting to digest the odd "lockdown" that occurred.
"Now cadet seeing you are fresh from the academy, mind you enlighten me if these sort of lockdowns are a part of some new security system that is being installed on all ships?", Salek asked the cadet
<Tag Nack>
"I did not expect it to be, seeing I have not heard anything about new security systems installed", Salek said, "And last time I reviewed the security layout there was nothing about lockdown procedures mentioned there, at least not on intrepid class ships", Salek said
<Tag Nack>
"What do you think is actually happening cadet"; Salek asked
<Tag Nack>
"I see, well it may be that but I suggest we prepare several medical kits and be ready to aid people with symptoms of exhaustion. Seeing the turbolifts are down I expect we will be seeing several cases like that soon enough", Salek said, "Now if you would remind me what is a standard content of such a medical kit", Salek asked the cadet

OOC: I'm come from directly from the Hepta from the middle of a mission, asked to come here.
I left there with a shuttle craft, so my arrival will be with a shuttle craft to.
But don't worry i'll pretend I've arrived before the lockdown took effect.
ICC: Ardawen flew directly to the academy campus, hoping to find out where the Hanson would be.
Carefully he maneuvered his ship to the base.
"Cadet Ardawen to starbase 47, academy dock asking permission to land"
On screen a operator appeared "Starbase 47 here, what is your goal?"
Ardawen smiled "I was told to report to the Hanson directly"
The operator nodded "OK cadet moment please"
The operator appeared to access some files "Yes cadet anything is OK, the Hanson is still here and cadet's are still able to go on board, starbase 47 out"
Ardawen was surprised to find out that the Hanson still docked on the starbase. But first he had to land the shuttle the right way.
When he did, he stepped out the shuttle craft and walked to the Hanson.
To security cadets where guarding the entrance.
"Sir, where are you going?"
Ardawen looked at his colleges, and smiled.
"I'm cadet Ardawen please don't call me sir, I'll be working on security to you know"
The cadets stared a him for a moment and let him pass.
Ardawen was in the Hanson, he was Glad that he had worked him self up to the Hanson so fast, but he would miss his friends. But he had no time to think about that, he had to report to sickbay first and after that the bridge.
Ardawen did not had any problem finding sickbay, the inside of the Hanson was somewhat the same as the Hepta. At sickbay he walked in and spoke.
"Cadet Ardawen, reporting for checkup, as you might know not completely OK" <Tag anyone on sickbay>
After his checkup and some extra pain killers he walked to the bridge. A bit dizzy of the pain killers he almost mist it, but right on time he noticed his mistake.
He walked in and saluted.
"Cadet Ardawen reporting for security"

Crystal nodded, granting permission to Marsh to leave. Crystal also gently reminded Marsh not to be gone too long, since hopefully the ship would be moving out soon. Crystal was aware of Marsh leaving, and Crystal was left alone in front of the counsel to watch the computer run pre-flight checks.
Crystal had started to worry a little bit about her cadet when the bridge doors opened and Marsh returned to the navigation console. Crystal smiled at Marsh, but the cadet had only been on the bridge only a short time when the bridge lights flickered once-definitely not a good sign.
Crystal glanced at the console, and stepped closer to it, trying to figure out what she could with the situation and to make sure that the ship wasn't in any danger.
When S'reena stepped on the bridge and gave orders about what specifically to do to try to avoid complete disaster, Crystal took a step back so Marsh could take over. “Care to give it a try?” she asked, smiling. Her smile was forced, after all the ship was locked down, but she knew the importance of remaining calm and seeming in control of the situation, both for her own sake and for the cadets on the bridge.

Jason had been on the bridge working hard to get the ship ready for departure. It had taken a bit longer for the Hanson to depart, but it was just as well. He had a lot of work to do and he had been able to sneak in a visit to Angel.
As he completed the last of the scans the lights on the bridge went out. It took a few seconds for the emergency lights to kick in and he immediately tried to figure out what had just happened. The only problem was that he had nothing to work with. His scans were only limited to half of the bridge, which he was sure was a first.
He had tried to contact, the other officers on the ship but no one responded. There were a couple of cadets and officers on the bridge, so they could easily manage. After a few more attempts, Jason was able to get more scans. Emergency power was the only thing that was keeping the most vital systems online. As he probed futher he finally discovered what had caused these problems.
"Report!"
"All power on the ship has failed, we only have emergency power and I haven't been able to contact anyone on any other part of the ship," Jason reported. "Some systems seem to be coming online, but not to full operational status. Commander this only happens when a ship goes into lockdown."
S'reena quickly went into action, which only came with the valuable experience that she had. Jason listened intently and kept on working to get systems fully operational, but was having a lot of trouble doing so.
"Cadet Ardawen reporting for security"
Jason noticed the young man waiting for instructions and Jason called him over.
"Cadet Ardawen, your instructor is not here, so you will be reporting to me," Jason said as he went on working," I'm sorry that I cannot offer you a more cheerful welcome, but right now we are all busy at the moment. You could help us out, but trying to activate the internal sensors."

Crystal took a step back so Marsh could take over. "Care to give it a try?" asked commander Shinsei, smiling. Her smile was forced, after all the ship was locked down, but she knew the importance of remaining calm and seeming in control of the situation, both for her own sake and for the cadets on the bridge.
Her bluff worked. Cassandra, feeding off of the commander's calm, simply assumed this was part of the training cruise but couldn't help but wonder if something was awefully wrong. "Give it a try?" she thought, wondering what good she could possibly do with an inactive conn. Nevertheless, and despite the blackness of the consoles in front of her, Cassie tapped the spot of the master situation monitor. Nothing happened. She ran her fingers an inch or so above the pannels and squinted her eyes, pondering. She got an idea.
Cassandra found the master sensor console and activated it's emergency power via a switch that she'd had to search for under it. The pannel lit up and Cassie quickly got to work. Sensors were offline, unfortunate. Without worry she directed her search into the sensor history and pulled up the last registered second. She hesitated and pulled back from the console.
"Uh...commander..." she said with worry, "I...think you better take a look at this."

Crystal was watching carefully what Cadet Marsh was doing with the sensors, after all, she didn't want any well-intentioned efforts to make the situation better to end up activating the self destruct. Not that it was even possible for a cadet from the navigation section to blow up the ship, but Crystal didn't have much to do, and was anxious to see if Marsh could find anything.
Anyway, Marsh seemed to be on the right track, getting power back up to the console and looking at sensor records. Crystal was watching when Marsh started, as she had found something related to the ship's lockdown. Crystal looked at the console closer, still not quite seeing what Marsh wanted her to. All she saw was that the sensors had been functioning, and then they, just like the rest of the ship, had stopped doing so.
“Oh,” Crystal suddenly muttered, seeing the time the last sensor logs were from. But that wouldn't make sense then, there had to some kind of explanation there.
“Commander Hope?” Crystal asked, thinking that the first officer needed to know about this. “According to the logs, the navigational sensors went offline a few seconds before the power failed.”

She made her way over to where he was standingExcuse me she said I'm Looking for a Cmdr Smith, i'm suppose to report in to him. she said.<Tag Smith> "you got him. Hi, I'm commander Max Smith, and you must be Kiara. welcome aboard, as you can see, It's not too busy at the moment.... <Kiara> just then an orange indicator light flashed frantically. Max punched up information... "lockdown..." Max muttered. "how'd that happen?" Just then, an Ensign came running through the door, muttered that the bridge systems were to be put on priority, and fainted." Max leapt to the man's side and felt a pulse. "Computer tie in. Beam this man to sickbay, clearance Smith theta sigma 5." the man however did not disappear due to the ship being on lockdown and transporters being offline. Nor did the computer respond to the beam-out request, in fact, it made no response whatsoever."right cadet, it seems we have a problem. we have a lockdown. You could use the jeffries tube network to get to essential locations, but the hatches on the ends are locked out. or you could go by corridor and use a priority code at every gate. A lockdown means that the ship will trap any unauthorized personnel where they are. it's not usually used." <Kaira>

"Am I done?" Commander Hope queried. Just when both Nack and Salek opened their mouths to respond, the ship suddenly went dark for a few seconds (until emergency power kicked in) and the red alert lights started blinking.
The Commander had some trouble exiting sickbay, hitting the door when it didn't open. After she manually opened the door and left, Salek turned to Nack.
Nack, nervously answered. "I... I... I am pretty sure lockdowns are a part of a ship's normal security measure...". Part of Nack wanted to believe this was part of the training mission, but the emotionless Salek was not giving him any clues to determine if the situation was real or not.
"The Galaxy class ships have a lockdown routine. To be honest, I am not familiar with Intrepid class ships as I probably should be, sir." Nack said a bit ashamed.
"I think there is an intruder. I've heard stories from my friends..." Nack rethought the last word, "er.. others," much better! "describing the same sort of intruder situation. Of course, they were the intruder that was being caught by the lockdown." For some reason his conclusion sounded good in his head, but came out sounding horrible.
Annoyed to be having idle conversation in the midst of a probable intruder alert, Nack replied quickly.
"Medical tricorders, hypospray, trauma kit, and a ... a.. "
"Dermal Regenerator", Salek finished.
"I was going to say that." Nack retorted, making his way toward the medkits.
Nack worked nervously with Salek as an ensign was brought in, in need of care. It helped that Nack, a naturally high-strung Ferengi, was paired with a calm and collective Vulcan. The patient was simply fatigued, and Nack prepared a hypospray to help him relax. Nack figured that there would probably be more, so he hastily prepared more med-kits.

Off: Let's make it as if two engineering officer brought in the collapsed man from Engineering
After the two men brought in the collapsed ensign in sickbay Salek was pleased that his cadet knew exactly what to do.
"Excellent work cadet", Salek said after the cadet was done
<Nack>
"Now cadet, I would like you to take a med kit and go to the bridge to see if anyone there needs any help. I will stay here in case anyone reports here for help", he said
<Nack>
"Not to worry you will be able to attend to any wounds if there are any", Salek said as the Ferengi left via the Jeffries tube built into the sickbay wall
