L'Ola had left the cave a few moments after Sonak. Unable to see the Commodore anywhere she started to walk around. With the storm getting worse this was a big mistake.
After just a few minutes she looked like a walking snowman, and she couldn't seem to work out which direction the cave was in. But if she stayed where she was then she was bound to freeze.
So she picked a direction that seemed okay and started walking.
<OOC: I'm too tired to work where she's going, but it's either going back to the cave or running into someone else, so anyone can post either>

OOC: continued from Cmdr. Kanz's last post (if you don't mind)...
IC: Stumbling about in the blurry white mass that was the landscape all around her, L'Ola did her best to maintain her footing and still move in a generally straight path. After proceeding for some time (minutes? hours? it was difficult to keep track) in this manner, the outlines of a huge gorge with towering cliffs was vaguely in sight. Curiousity and a faint sense of hope filled her, as there might well be some protective cave nearby. Before she could make her way to them much further, however, L'Ola abruptly tripped over something on the ground for the umpteenth time. On this occasion, however, it wasn't a rock or piece of ice in the way; it was a humanoid form, lying shivering in the snow. As L'Ola slowly turned over the figure, who began to weakly thrash about in alarm, she was surprised and relieved to find a man dressed in Starfleet survial gear and wearing scanner glasses. When she removed the glasses, she found herself staring into the fatigued eyes of Lieutenant Meylor!
The young man gave a tired smile and a shaky salute as he recognized his crewmate. "Commander, it appears you're just in time. Another few minutes, and I might have slipped into oblivion. Not just from cold, either; it's the radiation...try putting on those scanner glasses."
As L'Ola did so, focusing her line of sight on the cliff walls around them, she realized what Meylor already had. Meylor continued his `report`, "I don't know what happened to my landing partner, Mr. Winters, but I did find another companion..." Pointing to the frozen ground a few feet away, Meylor indicated the dead member of the Federation science team. L'Ola tried to get a better look at the body with the scanner glasses, but there was little to be discerned about what might have caused the man's death; she would need better equipment to conduct a proper scan. L'Ola turned to Meylor, suddenly resolute. "Understood. I concur that the radiation around here is getting pretty dense, but I don't understand why it's affecting you so much. I've been walking for quite awhile, and this much radiation surely would have reached that far and affected me as well."
Meylor shrugged. "I'm not really sure. It may have something to do with my immune system, which is particualrly susceptible to certain types of radiation, thallium among them. But I wouldn't rule out your susceptibility yet. With my tricorder non-functional, there's little I can tell for certain."
L'Ola nodded. "We'll have to get you off the surface at any rate, and into Sickbay." She pointed out the spreading welts on Meylor's face. "Otherwise, you're not going to be healthy enough to investigate anything. May I see that emergency beacon?"
Meylor carefully removed the small device from his communicator and handed it over. "I'm not sure what it's signal strength will be in this environment, and no-one else has yet located me and made their presence known. It should have sufficient range to reach the ship, though."
As L'Ola began dismantling both the beacon and the scanner glasses, canbilizing parts, and reassembling an entirely new contraption. "Won't need the glasses for now, and I think this thing should be able to cut through interference, using the scanner filters. I've set it to transmit a basic SOS pattern which should be hard to mistake for anything but a call for help. Nothing for it but to try..."
And with that, L'Ola activated the modified beacon. As soon as she did so, however, a tall, menacing figure emerged from the white curtain of flying snow and came towards them. The figure was definitely humanoid, definitely garbed in an environmental suit, and definitely armed. A pair of rather nasty-looking disruptors of unidentifiable model were quickly thrust into L'Ola and Meylor's faces, and they tried desperately to keep still and not alarm their captor. A ghostly voice, filtered through a helmet communicator, made itself heard.
"Stay where you are, and throw your equipment in front of me. Any other action will result in instant termination."
<continue the scenario as you like>

Loskene was laying down, resting his hands after warming Sonak. Joni was able to dry off Sonak's parka. She draped it over Sonak, forming a makeshift blanket.
Joni: That should take care of Commodore Sonak for now. Any idea on contacting the ship?
Loskene: None that I can see. The only chance we have is to find the other crew. Perhaps they know something.
Joni: Good idea. Only problem is, we have no idea where anybody is.
Loskene: Maybe I should patrol the area, maybe I can reach a cliff and see if I can spot someone...
Joni: Oh no...Your staying here.
Loskene: What are you talking about?
Joni: You are in no shape to go out there.
Loskene: It's our only choice.
Loskene began to stand up.
Joni: I can relieve on grounds of being mentally unfit to return to duty.
Loskene: ...Your enjoying this.
Loskene sat down annoyed. When he tried to get comfortable, his leg knocked into something on the snow covered cave floor.
Loskene: Ouch...my leg... What is this, some kind of rock?
Loskene began to dig through the snow, until he found a shiny white snow uniform.
Loskene: What...
Loskene digged further and noticed that it was no rock, it was infact, a body.
Loskene: ...Joni.
Joni: What is it...Oh no.
Loskene: He lookes like he has frozen to death.
Joni: Your right. No bio signs.
Loskene: Joni, let's go through his suit, see if we can find anything useful. I'm sure he won't mind.
Joni: He is in Starfleet marines... I found something under his jacket. He's holding something in his hands.
Joni tried to pry the device from the dead man's grip. He didn't budge.
Loskene: Here, let me try.....Whatever it is, he seemed intent on keeping it to himself...
Joni: It looks like one of those devices that Commodore Sonak mentioned. Vox unit...
Loskene: Yeah, it looks like it. Let's see what we can do with it. Maybe we can activate it using some power cells or some other source. We need to communicate with the other officers on the planet.
Joni: If they have found the other vox units, that is.
Loskene: Only one way to find out. Hand me-
As Loskene and Joni talked, something began moving from behind them. A hand reached out and grabbed Joni's back. Joni gasped and turned around. Standing behind her was the marine. The one that was dead.
Joni: Wha-wha...?!
Loskene: Impossible!
The marine's eyes were glowing a steady green and he talked in a strange disembodied shrill.
Marine: Care to join me. It's been quite some time since we had a woman!! hahaa.
Loskene: Stay away from her!
Loskene grabbed Joni away and held a phaser to the man.
Loskene: Who are you?!
Marine: Name is not important. What is important is that you are here! New bodies for us... A way off of this planet!!!! hahahahah.
Loskene scanned the man with the tricorder.
Loskene: He is dead.
Kel: Then why is he standing up, Loskene??
Loskene: I don't know, but he's not for long.
Marine: Are you threatening me? It's too late for that. Much too late.
The marine began to lunge toward the two officers. Loskene reacted quickly and managed to fire his phaser.
Loskene: Good to know it still works.
Out of the mans mouth, ears, nose and eyes came a green vapor. The vapor ascended up toward the ceiling of the cave and passed right through it. On it's way out, a green ooze formed on the cave's ceiling.
Joni: He's not moving anymore...
Loskene: He's dead. Our tricorders confirmed that. Joni, are you okay?
Joni: I'm ok... What about that green gas and that strange green liquid?
Loskene: I don't know, but I'd like to get a scan of it.
Loskene managed to climb and take a sample of the green substance.
Loskene: Sigh... I feel like a ghostbuster...
Joni: Why do you say that?
Loskene: I don't know. It just reminds me of that 20th century film. Ghost investigators. Quite interesting. Quite funny actually, They used to track ghosts down by collecting-...
Joni: What...?
Loskene: Protoplasm.... An excretion left behind by a disembodied creature.
Joni began to smile.
Joni: Are you trying to tell me that it's some kind of ghost? You must be sicker then I thought. When we get back to the ship, I want to see you for two hours a day, everyday, for 2 months.
Loskene: Whatever you say...sir. Anyway, I can't explain what happened. All I'm saying is, consider the way it spoke to us. He said something about...New bodies.
Joni: Yes, something about getting off the planet.
Loskene: Sounds like a disembodied spirit to me.
Joni: I think we are all going to need a little counseling when we get back.
Loskene chuckled slightly and winked at Joni.

Joni smiled weakly. She was still pretty shaken up all that had happened. It was only her second mission and she wasn’t really enjoying it so far. Possessions, walking corpses, frozen officers, messed up teleporters and comm. Nope, she preferred Risa.
She sat down again, growing silent. She needed to think, needed something to hold on to. Something she knew.
“Sit with me?” She asked Loskene. She was tired, her ankle and shoulder hurt like hell and she was confused. She needed an arm around her. As the man sat down she took his non-damaged arm and wrapped it around her shoulders. Softly she leaned into him. She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths.
She didn’t even notice when she fell asleep.

OOC: I know i havent posted for ages so im back tracking a bit to catch up with Nick's post. Hmm i like Gravy. Does anyone else?
IC
Max was snowboarding around, trying to find something...someone...food.
After about an hour of snowboarding, he decided it would be a good idea to set up his portable BBQ and eat some food. Maybe the smoke signals would attarct someone.
Sadly, it didnt work. Anyways, Max has realised he was on something hard. He investigated further and realised it was snow. Realising this, he walked further only to suddenly fall down a hatch. He rolled a few feet before smacking his head into a wall.
"Ouchie" He said as he took a Panadol Rapid. Now works within just 10 minutes. Thanks Panadol.
He started to walk around the ship and taking scans with his...tricorder. He found out that the ship was old...very old. He found one more bio sign. He decided to walk towards it, since he didnt wanner be alone. But then he thought about it. "If they are hungry, i wont be able to eat as much. But i cook such a mean stir-fry, that i would want them to eat. Argh! decisions decisions!" He thought to himself.
He started to head towards the bio-sign. There, he saw Nick run out in a hurry as if something or someone was chasing him.
"Um, there is no one here" Max said after Nick was explaining how he was chased and stuff. Max contuined to walk on with Nick, worried that Nick might be loosing his mind. Lucky for Max...he had food.

Raiben looked to the ice desert. Nearly nothing was changed, except he has to dig out his way towards the surface. Raiben looked out for his inventory, A hand phaser, a compresion rifle, a non working tricorder, a tri-cobalt grenade and a some medical equipment.
Nothing usefull in this situation. The cold, well it is not cold out there anymore. Raiben is fond of with the cold and the dead creature provided him with enough materials.
He started walking towards a mounts peek. Just straight towards it. Sensor googles, cloaking devices genetic engineering; bah those are not for him. He was an oldie fan. The good old fashion, the good old ways.
Raiben spoted a flash of light in the horizon. Either someone or something is there.

OFF: Max, I used to like gravy. I really did. Unfortunately, the last time I had it I had an allergic reaction to it... Anyway...
ON:
Loskene was talking on and on about nothing really. Just what he was going to do when he got off the miserable planet. He noticed that Joni was no longer following the conversation, and she had fallen asleep. Loskene quickly shut up, and sighed softly. He had been sitting there for about two hours, and was keeping tabs on Sonak. She was stabilizing, but still weak. There was not much else he could do but sit there. After a few minutes, Loskene heard a static, hissing sound coming from the vox unit. Loskene carefully got up, being careful not to wake up Joni. He picked up the device and noticed that it was active.
Loskene: Hello... Is anyone there? Over.
Loskene waited for a moment, and heard nothing but static. He repeated his hellos a few times, and finally heard a faint voice that was wrapped in static.
Voice: Hello? Hello? Who- this-- line?
Loskene: Say again please?
Voice: Can't- having- this?
Loskene: I can't understand you. Try to boost your signal...
Voice: Hello?
Loskene: Yes, I'm here. Who is this? Over.
Voice: This- Matthew...
Loskene: Good to see your still around, Commander. Where are you?...Nevermind that. How would you know... At least your alive. What's your status? Over.
Matthew: I am with Commander Fox. We have found two members of the science team a few hours ago. We just recently found a third scientist, but she is passed out. I'm not sure what's wrong with her.
Loskene: Have you been able to contact the ship? Over.
Matthew: No luck, sir.
Loskene: I am in a small cave, with Ensign Kel and Sonak. The Commodore is injured, and I've been better as well. We have just had a strange expierence and I think you should hear about it...
After telling Matthew about the dead crewman suddenly coming to life, and then seeing the green vapor...
Matthew: ...Interesting, sir.
Loskene: We can't be certain of who's dead and who isn't. Watch your back. Keep in contact with me, notify me every 15 minutes or so of your status. Over.
Matthew: Aye sir, I will certainly keep this line open.

Raiben looked out to the metal piece. It probably was a starship, but not of federation design.
Under the snow its uncertain who is the builder. Raiben looked out for an entrance.
After a lot of searching Raiben finded out an entrance. He pulled out his compression rifle, aimed and fired to open the stuck door. The door blasted open to reveal its secrets.

Sonak woke, feeling much better, even though she was still somewhat cold. She grunted as she sat up, her muscles sore from the massaging and the cold. When she opened her eyes she was directly confronted with the nothing-seeing eyes of the vox-officer she had found earlier. Yet, this one was not appearing to be dead, he was in fact stroking her hair out of her face, smiling.
"Hmm, a woman," he said, his voice husky.
Sonak gasped, slapping his hand away. "How...." she started, then gazed past him. "Loskene! Joni!" she cried, as she kicked the parka off her. The trooper was coming at her again, wielding a long silver blade with practice and purpose. She fumbled for her phaser, then remembered the battery had been empty. Reversing her grip on the weapon, she used it as a club and knocked the feet from under him.
It didn't help much, the officer got back to his feet almost instantly. Sonak scrambled away, wondering how on earth the officer could be alive when she had clearly found that he had been dead. The officer came at her again, and they fought for the long silver blade, which she could just barely keep away from her throat. At last, she managed to grab the knife. "Get away," she cried, crouching low as she held the blade threateningly before her.
She didnt know how long she had been standing like this. She blinked and saw the trooper still standing before her, also crouched and ready to jump at her. She slashed with the blade. "Get away!" Then she heard a yelp, and someone wrested the blade away from her with force. "Wha..." she started, and blinked again. When she turned, she saw the trooper lying dead again, where he had been before. A phaser burn prided on his chest.
Confusion was clearly visible on her face, whether she wanted it to or not. "What did just happen?" she asked, looking at her two companions. Her complexion was pale, her eyes shining with fever and she had little memory of the previous minutes. At last, she collapsed back on her makeshift bed, her energy reserves spent.

One of the two scientist that Fox and Matthew had found was carrying a vox unit. He gave it to matthew cause he couldnt figure out how it worked. Matthew turned it on and almost immediately he started to recieve something.
"He...... Is a....e th..e? .ver."
He walked off a little still working on the unit to get the signal clear. letting Fox and the two scientist have time to talk what had happened.
First they asked Fox if he had something to eat, because they didnt have anything to eat for some days. Fox looked in his pack giving both of them some of their ration.
While they were eating Fox started to ask what had happened to the troopers that escorted them. They told Fox that they lost the troopers in the storm.
"We were hiding in a cave from the storm." Douglas said. "When one of them walked to the entrance. He said he thought he saw someone out there." Douglas continue.
"Indeed." Somar started. "Then the rest also walked to the entrance. They told us to stay in the cave and wait for them to return. Then all went out to scout the area looking for what they had seen."
Douglas continued the story again. "We waited in that cave for hours and hours. But none of them returned. In the mean time the storm got less. So we when out to look if they were outside. No one was there, so we started to look for them."
Somar took over again. "That was about 3 days ago." he said "We looked for them all the time, but found no one. Then this morning it started to storm again and we were about to go back, if we knew where we came from, till we met you and matthew."
Fox nodded. "Well im glad we found you." he said.
In the mean time Matthew had been talking with Loskene and came walking back to the three. Telling them what happened to Loskene, Sonak and the others.
"So we must be extra carefull." He said, hardly hearable of the still raging storm. While he was saying this, behind him in the fog the silhouettes of several men appeared. Heading toward them.
"Look." Fox said, pointing past matthew who was turning around. "Some one, something is coming this way."

L'Ola was concerned about Meylor's health, and decided that they had better find some decent shelter fairly soon. She was getting extremely tired, although she would not admit it, but wanted to keep moving to find a cave similar to the one she had left, preferably the same one.
"Are you okay to get walking?" she asked.
"It makes no difference, so I guess yes." came the reply.
They began to walk carrying on from L'Ola's previous direction.
"It's so lucky that you ran into me. Not having seen a single person since beam down it's been really lonely, don't you think?"
L'Ola blushed as much as was possible in the cold, "Well, actually I've been with people for most of the time."
Meylor looked confused, "Where are they?"
"Last I saw, Joni, Sonak and Loskene were in a cave a while back in some direction. I kind of went for a little walk and got lost. I haven't seen or heard from anyone else."
"Sure?"
"Yes, why?" she was confused.
"Take a look ahead, I'd say that's someone else."
Looking up in the direction Meylor had pointed out she same people approaching, and although they were too far away to identify, she was almost certain that one of them was Nick...

Loskene looked down at the trooper that he had shot.
Loskene: Phew...Are you okay, Sonak?
Sonak: I am alright. Just shaken.
Loskene: Joni, are you alright?
<Joni>
Loskene: We should probably bury or vaporize these bodies before they decide to get up agian.
Sonak: Well, one of those things was able to enter your mind, Loskene. It almost killed us all. Whatever we are dealing with, it could inhabit any of us.
Loskene: Yes, lets all be careful. Notice any strange behavior in any of us and be quick to react.
They all nodded and Loskene was trying to figure out a way to boost the vox unit's signal.
Kel: Any luck?
Loskene: Not so far. Why would they use these things? It would be much easier if they used Starfleet communicators.
Kel: That is a good question. Why bring an old vox unit...
Sonak: ...I have a theory..... I have just scanned these dead bodies. These men have been here for over 100 years.
Loskene: What?
Sonak: They have been preserved in ice.
Loskene: But we recieved a signal from the planet...
Sonak: From the science team. The military officers signal must have been recieved by a Federation communications buoy.
Loskene: So it took 100 years for the distress call from the military officers to reach the nearest Federation buoy...
Sonak: The same force that marooned the scientists a few days ago must have done the same thing with the military officers 100 years back.
Loskene: This planet is cursed... And I'm not usually the one that believes in such things.
Sonak: Let's get rid of these bodies. We can't risk having them around.
Loskene sat down next to Joni.
Loskene: Scared yet?
Kel: Do I really have to tell you how I feel?
Loskene put his arm around Joni.
Loskene: No, you don't... Hey, I have something to say to you, and I should have said it earlier but I was so preoccupied that I had forgotten. I would like to apologize earlier, for the tour. I knew you wanted to come, and I accidentaly forgotten. I was sick and had too many things to think about...
Loskene put his head down, feeling a bit ashamed.

OOC: Ahhh! i dont wanner be found yet...i want some alone time with nick...i mean...yes good to see other people.
IC Nick was pretty shaken up by the ordeal. Max pulled out his portable BBQ, and started whipping up a quick meal. A nice juicy steak, covered with special steak sauce, his own development, a few spices, a side order of vegetables, and a quick side of dessert which was ice cream. Max didn't wanner try anything to exotic, and gave the meal to Nick.
Nick looked a little bemusied. "This isnt the time to eat!" He shouted at Max.
Max "im not eating. It's for you."
Nick "Oh...im not hungry"
Max "Yes you are. You were shaken up pretty bad. I suggest you regain your strength. If you don't it eat, i will be offended."
Nick ate the meal, and was quite staisfied with it.
Nick "Well, we can't stay here"
Max "We good...and keep each other company...but i mean your right...we should move on"
So they both left and started walking along the snow. Max was enjoying himself, snowboarding around, do all sorts of tricks he learnt from his time in the Alps in Europe. Nick just paced along, until he saw someone familer in the distance, and started to run up to them. Max didn't notice Nick run off and was like "where'd he go?" but finally saw him and decided to catch up to them.

Taking one of the phasers that still worked, Sonak did the only humane thing for the dead troopers that she could think of: she vaporized their frozen bodies. Rejoining the group, she noticed the silver blade that lay on the floor and suddenly a bit of her memory on what happened before returned. Carefully, she picked up the blade, feeling blood rush to her cheeks as embarassment came over her.
She presented the blade carrying it on two hands to Loskene and Joni. "I did not hurt anyone with this, did I?" she asked, then tucked it back in its sheath and tucked between the waistband of her insulation suit's utility belt. "Might come in handy," she explained, "now we are indeed sheltered here, but this cave still does make me feel anxious and restless." She looked apollogetically at her two companions. "I hate to admit it, but I am claustrophobic. I really need to get out into the open again before I lose my mind. We must try to find the rest of our crews."
Sonak knew she was still weak, and was most likely to get sick even worse for she knew she already had a fever, but staying in the cave would drive her insane ultimately. She packed her things together and slung the backpack on her back. "Are you two with me?"
Just then, someone stepped through the opening in the ice sheet. An Andorian female clutching an arm to her chest clambered through, her teeth chattering with the cold. Her white hair was dissheveled and she bore a large bruise on her forehead and a long gash over her left cheek. "Starfleet!" she cried happily, "oh I am so glad to see you!" Then her eyes rolled up in their sockets and she collapsed to the snowy floor, unconscious.
Instantly, Sonak unslung her backpack. "Please remove that ice-sheet," she urged, "as long as that is gone, we can stay here for a while. Joni, please assist me, we have to carry her further in and get her warm. I must set her arm and treat the gash before it infects. Not that there will be many germs around in this freezing climate." She quickly set to work, and soon the both of them had the woman comfortable.
Not long after that, the Andorian came to again. She sighed heavily, her eyes wide with shock and fear. "Where is Dr. Mai?" she asked, her voice trembling, "we were together when I slipped off the cliff. I have not seen him since I fell, where is he?"
Sonak shook her head. "You are the first of the missing scienceteam that we have encountered," she explained, "most of our own teams have gone lost as well. Perhaps your partner ended up with one of our crewmembers." She motioned to the vox unit. "Perhaps we can try to raise them, but first we got to get you warmed up. My name is Sonak, over there you see Loskene and Joni Kel. You are...?"
"I am Edani, archaeologist," she said, her voice losing the tremble gradually as she warmed up, "oh please can we try to raise them?" Sonak nodded towards Loskene, who had been able to get the device operational earlier. "Joni, please look after Doctor Edani. I really must go outside for a moment. No worries, I will not fall asleep out in the snow again. With the first snowflakes coming down, I will be right back in."
She stepped outside and was pleased to find the sky a clear purplish-blue, no clouds in sight. Her breath showed as tiny clouds in the air, and she shivered, pulling her parka closer to her. Carefully, she stepped around in the snow, each time sinking her legs in until knee-deep. She had to step slowly, because if she would fall there was the danger of breaking her legs, and that was the last thing she needed to happen.

“Y-es, I think I’m okay…” Joni answered. She shivered as she watched Sonak got rid of the bodies. In fact, she wasn’t really all that okay, but tried her best to be strong. This was all… way out of her league. She welcomed the arm around her shoulders and leaned into the man.
Her eyes were downcast as he apologised. She smiled and looked up, pushing herself up a bit. “It’s okay, I understand. I was a bit surprised, that is all.” She said. Looking back now it seemed the smallest thing in the world. She couldn’t believe she had been angry about it before. She smiled and got comfortable in his arms again.
The quiet comfortableness didn’t last long though. Joni jumped up as the form stumbled through the hall. Hands reached for her phaser, before remembering she had given it to Sonak just a few minutes ago. She really couldn’t use another ghost right now.
But as she saw the wounded woman, and Sonak who rushed forward, she immediately went to help. Hard work was rewarded and as Sonak walked out she helped the woman to the wall.
“Hey…” she said as she rumbled though her pack. “It’s not much, but by federation standards it’s food.” She said as she handed over a pack, wrapped in silver foil. Emergency rations, but the woman didn’t seem to mind. With a vengeance she dug into the food. Joni looked at Loskene, seeing him look back. She smiled and silent slid her hand in his.

Loskene held onto her hand. Both of their hands were cold, but it felt good nonetheless.
Kel: I hope Sonak isn't gone for too long.
Loskene: I didn't like her going out there in the first place. Maybe we should go make sure that everything is alright...
Kel: I think she'll be ok.
Loskene: How are you doing?
Joni sighed.
Joni: It's been quite a trip. First we are on a planet covered with volcanoes, and now we're on a frozen wasteland.
Loskene: Yeah, I don't like it very much either. Infact, I hate it. Let's make sure that our next assignment will be on an M-class planet.
Joni: I couldn't agree with you more!
Loskene: Of course, it will probably be the complete opposite. Anything is possible on our ship. Somethings that I never thought possible.
Joni: Like what?
Loskene: New feelings, new sensations...you.
Joni: Anything is possible.
Loskene: Yeah...
Loskene held Joni closer to him.
Loskene: Your...so cold.
Joni: Your not exactly warm yourself. So...what are we going to do when we get back?
Loskene: What do you mean?
Joni: Well, us.
Loskene: Oh... you mean our..relationship..
Joni: Yes..
Loskene: Well, things will be different, that much is certain.
Joni: How far can this relationship go?
Loskene: I don't know. I've never been in a relationship quite like ours...And being on a starship with all of our duties... But, remember, anything is possible.
Loskene and Joni smiled and held onto each other for quite some time.

The ground was starting to tremble ever so slightly. At first, Sonak didn't even notice it, being used to the constant tremble of the deckplates aboard the Vesuvius. Then, however, the tremble increased in amplitude and, looking up at the mountains, she saw snow coming down, first a little bit, then more and more.
She raced back to the cave, hacking away at the opening with the blade to make more space. "Everybody out!" she ordered. The ground was really shaking now and inside bits of the icy ceiling was coming down already. "Earthquake, everybody out!" She raced inside and hoisted the Andorian to her feet, half dragging half carrying her out. Close on her heels, Joni and Loskene followed.
They were just out when the entire cave collapsed, its walls having given up their resistance to the constant pull and tug of the ground. "Well, that was that," Sonak said, though a little relief was quite audible in her voice. "Seems to me we are going for a little hike after all. Did everyone get their gear?" The fresh air had strengthened her a little, but her eyes still bore a haunted look. She cast a worried glance at Loskene, who had also been extremely weakened. "What do you think, are we up to it? We do not seem to have much of a choice right now."
The ground was still trembling but not so violently as before, where they had been just barely able to keep to their footing. "I wonder if the rest of the crew managed to get trough this one," she wondered aloud, adjusting her support to Doctor Edani.
The Andorian grunted, pulling her cap closer over her ears and adjustig the extra part on it for her antennae. "As long as we find a warm place for the evening," she commented.
"We have tents," Sonak said, "you can share with me should the need arise. The four-some picked up a steady pace and started walking. Looking back, she saw that Loskene had retrieved the vox unit. ~just as well~ she thought ~he is the only one who can operate that thing at the moment~

A relationship. God when had all this happened. In between the pain, the cold and the terror, her feeling had shot though the roof. She just wanted to hold him and never let go. Keep him save from anything they might encounter now. Wanted him off this planet, wanted the doctor to heal him and tell her he was gonna be just fine.
Her quiet musings were disturbed by a panicked Sonak who ordered them out. She stood, using everything not to fall over from the pain of her ankle. She bit back the tears in her eyes as she got out, pack slung around her non-damaged shoulder. She watched in horror as their shelter collapsed on itself. Looking out over the wasteland she sighed. She didn’t want to talk.
She waited for the order to walk and put one foot in front of the other. She knew she couldn’t cover the pain completely from her party members, but she tried anyways. Knowing better then to limp she put an equal amount of pressure on both feet. The last she wanted was to cause craps in her other leg from over-using it and a hell of a back pain for the unequelness in her steps.
Looking down to watch every step she walked, wrapped up in her own pain and thoughts. To wrapped up for conversation.

Sonak looked back, and noted the painful expression on Joni's face. She turned, lowering the Andorian woman to the ground. "Give me a moment, I will be right back," she said. Loskene was keeping Joni to her feet, but even he could not keep doing that forever considering his own weakened state. "Sit," Sonak ordered, rumaging in her pack for her very basic first-aid kit. As Loskene helped Joni to sit down, Sonak told her to get her boot off.
As Jonie removed her boot, Sonak carefully rolled the sock down to still cover the foot, but bare the ankle. The ligament was swollen and looking purplish. "You should have cooled that instantly," she softly berated the counselor, "it would have kept the swelling down." Immediately, she scooped up a handful of snow and dropped it on the bruise. She heard the woman hiss, but she ignored it. Taking cotton wool and a stretch bandage from her pack, she deftly and tightly wrapped her foot, then applied a protective coat so that the snow would not get the bandage wet, and it would keep her foot warm. The boot, she tucked in Joni's own backpack. "You will not get the boot on," she explained, "the bandage and protective layer will keep your foot and ankle warm as well as immobile. You should be able to walk on it. I am terribly sorry for not paying attention to it sooner, apparently I had other things on my mind."

Joni smiled weakly. “Don’t worry,” she said. “It was my own fault in the first place.” Because it had been tempered with her foot felt worse now, but she took Sonak’s word that it would feel better soon. She suddenly realized she was incredibly spoiled. Of course, she had had a bruised ankle before, but she would find the doctor and it would be fixed.
She stood and smiled in reassurance, even though she didn’t know how convincing it was. She took a few steps. It indeed felt better, more supported.
“Let’s go then.” She said, smiling at Loskene who looked worried. Sonak nodded and walked to the Andorian woman again. Whispering softly she said to Loskene, “Really, I’m fine. No worries.” He nodded, she could tell he didn’t believe her. But he respected her enough not to nag on about it. They went on their way again.

Raiben looked out to the bridge of the old ship.
A major is sitting at the command seat. His face is the mask of fear.
The ship is nearly an abandoned wreck but it gives out the impresion of being in one piece.
Raiben lifted the dead major from the seat and taked his position.
He is shocked with his finding. The ships comunicator is working.
=/\=Winters to away team, i seem to find out a ticket out of here posting out the cordinates now...=/\=

"Look." Fox said, pointing past Matthew who was turning around. "Some one, something is coming this way."
Matthew “could fill something over his shoulder he stud up with one hand on his Phasher and pointed his tricorder in the direction of the slow moving shadow.
Cmdr “Matthew ‘Well” The tricorder said its Human fox ?
At” that time one of the two scientist ran forward in front of Matthew and said don’t shoot its only Chris my Young Assistant he went Searching for food and water outside the Mountain three days ago he never came back so we thought he was lost .
“Chris” over here the young man move slowly toward the three men you could se he was exhausted the young man Collapse right in front of them the he had gone without food or water for three days he was luck to have made it back.
Matthew” pull the water Canteen from his side and place the canteen to his lips just take slow slips as you can young man. Matthew “looking over at Fox he then gave the canteen to the scientist and motion fox over to him .
Well” fox im, Not a medical officer but even I can see that man id dehydrated and suffering from Exposure and need emergency medical treatment or he going to die ?
Fox” Yeah your right but that can be said for all of us let work on the vox unit maybe if we take it outside of this cave we could get a clear signal to one of the Ships in orbit.
Matthew “sound like a Plan .
Both” men headed toward the cave opening leading outside. Fox let try over there I think we will get a better signal from the north .
“The Cmdrs” Fox & Matthew climbs to the ridge to where the signal seems to be stronger.
Just at that moment a message from Ensign Winters he has found the old transport ship and its The ships communicator is working Fox & Matthew look at each out then smile look like we may not die on this rock made of ice after all let get back inside and get the two scientists and make something to carry the hurt man in and head for those coordinates Winters sent I’m’ Sure all of the other away team will be heading that way as well .
“Tag fox”

OFF: Nicely done Raiben. Loskene trailed behind Sonak and the andorian, keeping pace with Joni. Loskene: It seems like it's getting dark again. In a few hours it will be much colder. We should probably try to find higher ground. Sonak! Loskene shouted and Sonak heard him. Sonak: You called for me? Loskene: Yes, I think we should head for that mountain to the west of us. If we can make the ascent, we may be able to use our communicators to contact the ship. They all looked up. Sonak: But is the mountain big enough for us to be able to get a signal through? Loskene: In all honesty, I feel that it's a chance we have to take. Sonak: I agree. Let's head west. Will you be able to make the trip, Joni? Joni: I think so. Loskene: I can help her if she starts to hurt again. Sonak, have you been able to sense anyone near us? I'm afraid I still can't do very much. Sonak: I have of course been monitoring once in a while. I still can't sense anyone near us. Loskene: Let's get going. I'll be right behind you, Joni. Joni: I know, Loskene. Sonak: Loskene, a moment please. Loskene: Ok. Be right back Joni. Loskene walked up ahead with Sonak. Sonak: I thought you should know, we are almost out of food rations. We only have enough to last the night. Loskene: Well, it's a good thing that I don't need to eat. Though I do enjoy the taste of ice cream. Sonak: I have factored you in. Nevertheless, we still only have enough for tonight. Loskene: Ok. Then it's now or never. Climbing the mountain will be our only chance out of here. Sonak: Yes, unless we meet up with another team and they happen to have some extra rations. Keep an eye on the vox unit. If the static starts to clear, that will mean they're are probably others nearby. Loskene: I'll keep an ear on it. Sonak: Thank you for keeping an eye out for Joni. I would have assisted her more, but unfortunately I could not bare the thought of that cave for a moment longer. Loskene: No need for apologies. Me and Joni had plenty of things to talk about while we were together. Sonak: I see. You two seem to have a....strong connection. Loskene: I felt it as well. I did not know what it was at first. I'm not sure if I can even comprehend it now. Sonak: It is a very confusing concept...

"Well, no replies" said Raiben to himself."Lets take a look in this wreck"
Raiben picked up his compression rifle and started to walk inside the derelict. Its abandoned a long time ago. No tools, no weapons even no clothes are remaining. He who was in this ship has abandoned it with a plan at hand and that plan was not containing to fall back here.
Raiben at last maded his way to the engineering section. This was a small ship but its architecture amazed him. It nearly must be here for a decade and it is still working.
Raiben gived out some breath to his hands to warm them after taking off his gloves. He pressed some buttons over the main engineering console just to make a system check.
A disoriented computer replied:
Main systems online... Warp core at %1 Shields at %0 Weapons at %0 Thrusters at %15 Impulse at %5 Life Support at %5
"Well those are good for a non running ship"said Raiben to himself again.
"Thats what i can do for my best"comed a reply
Raiben turned his back with the compression rifle in hand and charged just to face a hands up Bolian.
"My name is Kell, yours?" "Raiben Winters, good to see you" "The Major you probably has found thinked that he can do save us using this ship but his broken ribs killed him. I have tried my best but gived the ship this much fixing" "Well thats still a good job i presume. We have an away team out in the planet, they are searching for your coleagues" "Good news that there is more of you. So when we are leaving?" "As soon as we regroup"

"But once you get used to it, it is a wonderful feeling," Sonak confessed, "and being a telepath it also allows you to form an emotional bond with your partner. Myself and Jatan share such a bond. At first, the feelings confused me, as I had not long before that lost my bondmate, but soon I felt comfort in them." She paused, looking up at Loskene earnestly. "Cherish her Loskene, she is a good woman for you and she cares greatly for you."
She looked up at the mountain. "I wonder where the others of our crew are, and if L'Ola is all right. However, there is something I could try. My chief engineer, Commander Martens, is also able to communicate telepathically to some extend. Now that my sanity has returned somewhat, and my anxiety eased, I believe I will be able to contact him."
She took a deep, cold, breath and closed her eyes, concentrating on Nick. ~Nick, what is your status? Are you all right and who is with you? I am with Commodore Loskene and Ensign Joni Kel, as well as an andorian scientist, her name is Edani. We lost track of L'Ola. Did she by any chance end up with you?~
She hoped dearly that her chief engineer heard, and would respond if he were able to. "Now all we can do is wait. Let us break camp, I do not have the energy to climb that mountain, it is too cold. Come, help me setting up our tents while Joni and Edani rest. They can tend to dinner if they like."
<Joni/Loskene/Nick>
