Matthew went back into the cave, followed by Fox. Inside they prepaired some kind of stretcher to carry Chris.
Not much later they all went outside, Chris being carried between Fox and Matthew. The air seemed to have cleared and a bright sun shined making it feel a little warmer.
"According to there coordinates." Fox said. "We should go that way." pointing in the direction of a snow covered plain, carefully holding the stretcher with one hand.
All nodded and they started to walk in the direction Fox had pointed. Sometimes sinking in the snow till their knees.
Now and then Fox and Matthew exchanged carrying turns with Somar and Douglas.
In the distance a mountain slowy started to appear. "That must be the mountain Winters is on." Fox said. "Lets hurry now." All quickened their pace.
Suddenly when they were almost at the mountain a cracking noice could be heard behind them. Fox looked behind him and slowly saw large peices of snow move. "Run" he shouted to Somar and Douglas who were carrying Chris. "This is not a plain this is a lake."
Somar and Douglas ran off with Chris between them. It took them a few minutes to reach solid ground at the mountain roots. Matthew followed them with Fox behind him. Not much later Matthew also reached shore.
Fox was still running on the ice going for the last few meters when the ice broke down under his feet, slipping into the ice cold water, but being able to grab the edge of an ice-floe.
Matthew had seen what happened. Quickly ran back, grabbing Fox' hand and pulled him out. Both quickly walked to the shore, Fox shivering from the cold water he had been in.
There on the shore at the roots of the mountain they made a fire to keep warm and decided to camp there, because it was getting dark already. "We'd better climb that mountain when its light." Matthew had said. "Who know how difficult it will be."

OOC: revising slightly from the end of my last post to accomodate present developments... IC: L'Ola looked to see where Meylor was pointing only to find an eerie-looking cloud of snow and what appeared to be fog. The fog, inexplicably, seemed to be turning green, however. Somethig was not right here, obviously. Her suspicions were only confirmed when the fog coalesced into a humanoid shape, a tall figure garbed in an armoured environment suit and pointing two nasty-looking disruptors of unidentifiable design. A ghostly voice filtered through what seemed to be a helmet communicator made itself heard. "Stay where you are and throw your equipment in front of me. Any other action will result in instant termination." L'Ola could hardly believe what she was seeing. This menacing trooper had materialized out of nowhere to threaten them; had he beamed in? Her sensor glasses told her that no transpoter activity had occured, at least not any recognizible form of transport. The only concrete data she could discern was that a definite bio-electric pattern could be made out within the `fog`that had preceded the trooper's appearance. Before she could reflect on this discovery further, though, she began to make out another figure coming into view, and it certainly looked like Nick Martens! The strange `trooper` then turned to L'Ola in what almost seemed to be disgust, and lowered his `disruptors`. "Your mind is to methodical for me to mold." Then he turned to Meylor, like a hawk bearing upon its prey. "But this one...has been weakened. He shall be easy to control." With a spine-chilling laugh of mania, the `trooper`, which L'Ola was now convinced had to be some kind of non-corporeal being, advanced on Meylor and extended his `weapons` at the weary Lieutenant. Hardly able to put up a struggle, Meylor suddenly found himself enveloped not in disruptor fire, but in the same green mist as he had seen before. Then, abruptly and terribly, it was over. Meylor's face and extremities seemed to pulsate with a greenish glow, and he spoke not with his own voice, but with that of the `trooper`. "I have found my new body. Now I must get off this miserable snowball..." Meylor, and whatever was inside him, rose with new energy and made immediately for a confused Nick. The green glow in Meylor's hands began to emanate towards the engineer... OOC: I shall return soon. In the meantime, take this where you wish (just don't kill Meylor...pretty please...

Nick looked bemused at Meylor. The young lieutenant had an ethereal feel to him as he lunged. A bolt of green energy burst foreward narrowly missing the engineer. Nick looked at the hole in the ground and back to the Ops officer, then back to the hole.
"Ah hell no!" He blurted pulling out his rifle. He looked down at his rifle, then back to the Lieutenant. ~damn too close~ Without thinking he flipped it around and gripped the barrel end.
"Sorry buddy," he muttered and leaned into a swing.
The butt end of the rifle contacted Meylor in the chin and sent him flying backwards. He landed face down in the snow completely unconcious. Just as quickly Nick pulled out his hand phaser and stunned the acompanying scientist. He crumpled to the ground with a look of shock on his face.
"What was that for?" L'Ola asked, looking from Meylor to Ayan.
"Better than having him become posessed and causing more problems. Besides he's been complaining since I met him."
Max walked out from behind a large rock. He noticed the two bodies on the ground and looked up at Nick and L'Ola. Not daring to ask he walked over and started setting up a BBQ. ~eating is good, takes my mind of things~ he though to himself.

Loskene began to set up camp while Joni and the andorian woman, Edani took out some rations.
Loskene: Make sure to not eat too much. We may have to climb quite a bit. I wonder if the ice can be melted and ingested.
Sonak: I don't think so. When I beamed down I scanned the area. There is some kind of radiation in this water. I don't know if it's poisonous but I advise against drinking it.
Loskene: Then they will have to stick to the water rations we have.
Sonak: Have you been able to sense anything from anyone Loskene?
Loskene: No... but the vox unit seems to be getting less static.
Sonak: Then perhaps others are nearby.
Loskene: Perhaps... Well, we have a long day ahead of us. You should all get some rest. I will watch over the camp.
They all began to nod. Sonak stayed behind and seemed like she wanted to say something.
Loskene: What's on your mind, Commodore?
Sonak: I'm still wondering what exactly is going on here. How is this planet able to support life? Even non-corporeal life would not be able to thrive here. It's too cold.
Loskene: Maybe it's not life...Well, maybe not life as we know it...
Sonak: What do you mean?
Loskene: I don't have enough information. It doesn't seem like life. It doesn't breathe, it doesn't ingest and it doesn't reproduce. Therefore, these gaseous entities are not life in the traditional sense. Well, I'd like to solve the mystery as much as anyone else, but the first priority is getting home.
Sonak: I cannot argue with you on that point. When was your last contact with Commander Matthew?
Loskene: Over four hours ago. I am starting to get concerned. They may just be resting. But for the rest of my crew, I cannot say the same. Who knows what everyone else is up to. Max, Raiben Winters... But they are resourceful. I am confident that they are still alive.
Sonak: ...Loskene, do you see that?
Loskene: See what?
Sonak: Look, up in the sky. For once it isn't cloudy. Do you see that steady white object in the sky?
Loskene: I'm...not sure...
Sonak: A little to your left, to the northwest.
Loskene: I do see it... It's moving.
Sonak: It looks like it could be one of our ships.
Loskene: Good to know that they are still here and haven't abandoned us.
Sonak: I think I should get a few hours of sleep.
Loskene: By all means.
Slowly, night turned into early dawn, and the small sun creeped up and peeked it's head over a distant mountain. Loskene decided that it would be wise to continue the journey up the mountain. He creeped into Joni's tent. Joni woke up when she heard some rustling.
Joni: What....who's there?
Loskene: Ma'am, breakfast is served. What would you like, dehydrated cereal puffs or Cinnamon toast?
Joni: How about something real for once.
Loskene: Real? Where do you think we are, the grand temple?
Joni: Don't joke with me, Loskene...I don't think I can stand another day here.
Loskene: And hopefully we won't have to. Last night, I saw the most gorgeous site in days. It was a steady white object, gliding through the sky.
Joni: The ship??
Loskene: We'll be going home soon.
Joni's face lit up with joy and Loskene chuckled in delight.

A child at Christmas morning couldn’t have had a wider smile then Joni at that moment. “The best news I have heard in ages, ánd breakfast in bed. What more could a woman possibly want?” She questioned. “Cereal for me please.” She added an smiled as he gave her a pack.
As they ate, it was silent beside the ruffling of a blanket as she threw it over him as well and sat up in his arms.
“So tell me Loskene, what will make you the happiest when we get home?” She snuggled closer to him as she flexed the muscles of her shoulder and ankle. The bandage around her ankle would have to be tied firmer again, her shoulder seemed to be on fire.
She really couldn’t imagine making it longer then a day, maybe two here. She was physically and emotionally drained and in pain. But for now, as she sat in the arms of the man that had sent her emotions into one big mess, she didn’t think of that. Nor of the taste (or lack of same) of the cereal. She just thought of him.
OOC: Sorry for the inactiveness, I'm having test week next week, so I'm reading and replying inbetween studying.

OOC: No problem, you've been really active lately anyway. ON: Loskene snuggled close to Joni. Loskene: The first thing I want to do? Actually I haven't really thought about it too much. I'm not really sure. I'd like to get back to the starbase...They have a great bar there with real drinks. The man who owns the place is a friend of mine. Even if he is a drunken old Klingon, he still mixes a great drink. And then...maybe I'll take some shore leave on Risa...or Bajor. Joni: Oh, those are both very nice. Loskene: Yes. They have such comfortable climates. If you'd like, your welcome to join me for a drink at the bar. Joni: I'd like that. Loskene: Me too. But right now, I'd do almost anything to get out of here. Even going to a long, boring, droning starfleet seminar discussing Bolian politics would be much better then staying here! Joni: Your crazy! ...But you have a point. Loskene held Joni's cold hands and held his head close to hers. Loskene: So, what about you. What's the first thing that you will do?

Sonak had crept into her own tent, after helping the andorian archaeologist settle in first. It was too bad that they had to share a sleeping bag, but the advantage was that neither could get really cold. She woke up when the sunlight shone brightly through the entrance of the tent.
She stretched, then saw to Edani, who was still sleeping comfortably. The woman's injuries were healing nicely, but Sonak thought it could not hurt to let her rest as long as possible. She crept out of the tent, and got to her feet, shivering with the morning cold. With the clarity of the air available, she could see a dark speck in the far distance. She walked towards the other tend and rapped her fingers on the cloth of the tent. "Joni, Loskene, you awake?" she called, "I see something in the distance."
She waited until the duo had come out of the tent then pointed towards the planetary north (or what she assumed to be north since she had no idea whether they were on the southern or on the northern hemisphere). "Look there, can you see that?"

joint post Commodores Loskene and Sonak
Loskene squinted. The snow on the ground, reflecting the sun made it quite hard to see due to the glare. Loskene could see something in the distance. Small, but it didn't look like a rock or an outcropping. "I think we should check this out" Loskene said.
Sonak nodded, then went to wake up Edani. After enjoying a light breakfast, they broke up camp and set on their way. "No it does not look like a rock," Sonak agreed, "I would estimate our ETA to the object about three hours, if we do not stop to rest too often." She saw to Joni's ankle, and her shoulder. "She should be able to make it without trouble," Sonak told Loskene softy, "though if she cannot, would you be able to carry her?"
Loskene looked down at Joni's ankle. It looked sore and Loskene could tell that she was in pain. "I will care for her if she needs it." Loskene kneeled down next to Joni. "Joni, will you be alright?" Joni nodded slightly and stood up. "If you need any help, let me know please" Loskene told her. Loskene turned to Sonak. "Well, I think we should be heading off now." said Loskene
Again, Sonak nodded and turned her attention to the scientist, who nodded also. "Well, we should be on our way then. It is still early, and if we set a brisk pace, we should be able to get there before noon." She swung her backpack onto her back and settled the long silver blade she had kept on her waistband. Her empty phaser she settled on her left side, the blade on the right, so that she could pull it out easily with her left hand. The night sleep had done her good, at least she was thinking clearly again, but she felt that if she would not get back to the ship soon, she would get really sick. She preceded the others and set a brisk but endurable pace.
hey had been walking for about an hour. It was uneventful, and the three of them were intriuged by the strange object that grew larger when they got nearer. "If only I had some binoculars, I'd be able to get a good glimpse of that thing" Loskene said. "I am sure that soon, we will be able to make out what it is." Sonak said. Loskene looked behind him and saw that Joni was trailing behind.
Loskene ran back to Joni. "Need any help Joni"? Loskene asked. "I think I can manage" said Joni. Loskene could see the pain in Joni's face. "Come on, I will help you" Loskene held onto Joni's waist and placed her arm around his shoulder and helped her to walk. "This way, you won't be putting all that weight on your ankle" Loskene said. Sonak and the Andorian were ahead of them, but stopped so that Loskene and Joni could catch up...
As soon as Loskene and Joni had caught up, Sonak moved in to support Joni from the other side. "It is only another 2 hours Joni, you can make it." ~and if she cannot we will carry her in turns~ she thought at Loskene, gazing at him behind Joni's back. "Edani, please keep ahead and on the lookout for that speck!" she called forward. The andorian nodded, and kept walking.
Loskene noticed something peculiar. The vox unit was picking up a lot of static. "What is it?" Sonak asked. "I don't know. It just started making a lot of noise. It started a few minutes ago." said Loskene. "Why would it all of a sudden pick up static?" Sonak asked. "Either someone is communicating with us, or we are picking up some kind of power surge...Could it be coming from there I wonder..? Loskene said.
"Well then work that vox commodore," Sonak said, "turn the dials on it to see if we can get a clearer signal. If it is Fox and Matthew, then we should let them know in which direction we are going. If it is a power surge, we will know soon enough." She supported Joni while Loskene set down the unit and worked the dials. "Anything?" Sonak asked.
Loskene took Sonak's advise and began to fiddle with the knobs. The static grew worse. "I'm not sure if anyone is trying to communicating with us. However, the closer we get to the object, the louder the static gets" Loskene said. Loskene spoke into the vox unit, just to make sure that someone may be on the other line. "Hello? Is anyone there? If anyone is there, please respond. Repeat, please respond." Loskene did not get an answer to his question. "I don't think anyone is trying to contact us" Loskene said to Sonak. "Well, for now let us just keep on course. We will probably get some answers soon enough" Sonak said.
"And if we do not get answers, I am sure we will get something else instead," she continued, and shuddered at the thought. They continued their walk and exactly at noon, they arrived at what had been the black speck: a ship, though a downed ship. She let go of Joni and cautiously shuffled forward. "Hello, anyone in here?" she called.

Joni held on tight to Sonak, relaxing her painful ankle. She tried to keep her pride forced down, but it was hard. She was an ensign, she wanted to prove herself. Fresh out of the academy she wanted to show her superiors that she could handle anything. But here she was. Leaning on a commodore for support. She sighed and watched Loskene work the dials.
She crunched her teeth together as they started walking again and leaned on both officers for support. At first it was painful, very painful. Then it just went numb and her mind drowned in the monotony of big step-small step.
When noon arrived, and they reached the ship Joni looked up. She shook herself out of her daze and frowned. She had completely missed the ship coming closer. There had just been the snow in front of her feet, and the two officers holding her.
She leaned her weight on Loskene when Sonak released her and held him tight, looking at the ship, and Sonak.
“That drink sounds good…” She murmured in his ear. She had forgotten about his question in all the pain and the sudden rush. Suddenly she remembered though.
“What?” He asked, obvious not having heard her. In contrary to her, he /was/ paying attention to the ship. As he tore his eyes away and met hers she smiled.
“I said that when we get back… that I would like that drink…” She repeated. Okay, so it would be non-alcoholic for her, but it would be with him. And it would be warm. And without pain. She couldn’t wait…

Raiben looked out to the ice desert. There was noise out there and the noise is not looks to be someone friendly.
"Hello, anyone in here?" comed a voice. A voice with the feeling of expectation and some fear. Raiben walked outside the ship and yelled.
"This is Raiben Winters; who you would be?"
"Commodore Loskene, Sonak and Ensing Joni"camed the reply.
At last some friends Raiben thought. He rushed towards the sound.
He was expecting three but there is four. An andorian.
"Its good to see you sirs"said Raiben as he taked Joni from Loskene. Then he spoted a moving object on snow.
"Commodore, the entance is right overhtere go there with haste and do not look back"said Raiben as he handed Joni to Loskene again. The thing moving on snow is not seemed to be humanoid.
"Do not worry for me"he yelled as he sprinted towards where the four has comed.

"Ensign Winters!" Sonak cried after him, "wait! I am coming with you!" She turned to Loskene. "Take care of them please commodore," she said, "and stay on the lookout for more crewmembers. I cannot let him go after this creature alone." She turned back and took up the chase after the Jefferson ensign, pulling out the silver blade.
"Wait!" she called again, "that is an order!" However, before she reached the exit-hatch, her boot slipped on the frozen over deck. With a startled cry, she fell flat on her back, the wind knocked out of her. She lay wheezing on the deck, watching as Raiben battled the creature. She got to her feet, but instantly fell down again as she felt extremely dizzy. When she had fallen, she had knocked her head on the iced deck.
She sighed, frustrated over the fact that the ensign was now out there alone. "Loskene!" she cried, fighting the urge to throw up as the movement she made caused a bad case of vertigo, "Loskene! Help Winters! Mr Winters, Loskene is on his way if you need help!" At last, she relented and vomited as the sick feeling got the better of her.

Raiben has got only one purpose in his mind now; to dispose of this creature.
"Ensign Winters!" comed the voice of Commodore Sonak. "Wait! I am coming with you!"
Raiben cannot wait for her, he from his joining to the Starfleet operated alone in nearly every operation. He is not a team player in combat.
"Wait! That is an order!"said Sonak again. Order? there will be no order if i cannot stop that beast he thought.
Raiben looked at his compression rifle with the egde of his eye. Its nearly emty so no use to him. He dropped it to ground and pulled out his Dak'Targ. An honour gift from a Klingon embassador.
As the beast is jumping on top of him Raiben lunged toward it with the blade in hand. The claws of the beast cut his left arm but he landed the blade to its stomach.
Raiben is now bloodlust, he is stabbing the creature again and again. They are rolling on the ice there and there.
Raiben is hearing the voice of Commodore Sonak but his mind is refusing to understand what she is telling.
And then suddenly everything every sound stopped. Raiben looked at the grinning beast. The bloody mouth is absolutely grinning. Then Raiben turned his look downwards. He spotted the claws of the beast in his stomach.
Raiben pulled his Dak'Targ from the creature and lifted it to stab it at its head but the beast throwed him away with a joyfull voice.
Raiben landed on a rock sitting there. He coughed as the air left his lungs. The beast turned towards the ships entrance.
Sonak is trying to get on to her feet. Loskene arrived and as he was just starting to take a stance to attack the creature; the beast stopped in mid way. Its eyes widened.
As it has felled to the ground Raiben could be seen at the background holding his hand phaser. He shot again to the beast this time vaporising it.
"Sorry to fail you Commodore" Raiben whispered. The pain, it has left the young ensign to the icy wastes. Raiben looked for the last time to the ship. It is going to save the both crews; but he is not going with them...

Loskene ran to Winters and knelt down next to him.
Winters: Sorry to fail you Commodore...
Loskene: Fail me? What are you talking about? You killed that thing...You did a great deed.
Loskene noticed Raiben's wounds.
Loskene: Sonak! Sonak, are you there!? Damn it.
Loskene was afraid to carry Winters over to the ship. He had lost alot of blood and moving him may make it worse.
Loskene: Hang on ensign.
Loskene took off his snow jacket and with all his might tore a piece of the insulated jacket off.
Loskene: Ensign, wrap this around your wound. Keep pressure on it.
Winters eyes began to roll into his head as he began to pass out.
Loskene: No. No, stay awake. Where in the hell are those three??
The Andorian was alerted to Loskene's voice and ran over to him.
Edani: I heard your calls. Sonak hit her head and she may have a concussion. Joni may have pnemonia.
Loskene painfully sighed. "Everything is going wrong" he thought.
Loskene: Edani, back near the ship, there was some debris from the hull. There was a metal slab near the entrance, about 2 meters long. I need you to drag it over here. We will have to use a make shift stretcher for Mr. Winters.
Edani nodded and quickly headed back for the downed ship. With her muscular arms, she was able to pull it through the snow, over to Loskene.
Loskene: Ensign, we're going to move you slightly. Hang on...This may hurt a little.
Raiben did not respond, he seemed delerious.
Loskene carefully slid the "stretcher under Raiben and lifted him slightly.
Loskene: Ok, he is on the stretcher. Grab the other side when I say so, Edani.
Loskene went to one end of the "strecther" and Edani went to the other side.
Loskene: One...two...three...lift!
Loskene and Edani both picked it up. It was heavy, and it was a good thing that the ship was not too far away. After walking to the ship, Loskene and Edani slowly set it down in the entrance to the ship.
Loskene: Watch over him, Edani. I will check out Sonak and Joni.
Loskene walked into the interior of the ship. Sonak was lying unconcious, propped up against the wall, and Joni was sitting across from Sonak, shivering intensly. Loskene walked over to Joni and held her close to him.
Loskene: How are you?
Joni: I've...been better.
Loskene: Your fingers are ice cold.
Joni: I can't feel them...
Loskene tore off another piece of his outfit.
Loskene: Here, wrap your hands in this. At least it will protect you from germs. Has Sonak shown any signs of conciousness?
Joni: No... She...she's been like this for about 20 minutes...I'm worried about her...
Loskene walked over to Sonak and saw that where her head was propped up, blood was behind her.
Loskene: She may have a hemorrage. I can't tell how badly hurt she is... Joni?
Joni seemed weak and she seemed to be shivering too much to speak.
Loskene: Joni... Do you know where the bridge is?
Joni: ....I don't know...
Loskene shouted outside.
Loskene: Edani! Bring Raiben futher inside, next to Sonak.
Edani pulled Raiben inside. He was barely concious.
Loskene: Keep an eye on them, Edani. I'm going to try to find the bridge. We need to get out of here.
Edani: But don't you have other crew on the surface?
Loskene: We do. However, I don't know where the others are. These three need immediate medical attention. We have no alternative but to leave.
Edani slowly nodded. Loskene got up and tried to grope his way through the dark tunnel. He walked several meters, which seemed like it took hours since he had trouble seeing. He finally reached the end and noticed a dimly lit room to his side. It looked like some kind of control center. Loskene got inside the room and looked around him. The ship had Federation emblems on the wall, but the consoles looked outdated. Loskene had wondered how old the ship was, and thought to himself that it may have been the ship that was marooned on the planet one hundred years ago. He walked to a console, which was partially operational. It seemed to be an engineering or OPS station, he wasn't sure.
Loskene sat down at a chair that was decrepid and probably was damaged in the crash. He attempted to work the console. A screen came up. "Engineering" it read. Loskene worked the console quickly, time was of the essence. The computer began to spit out data.
Engines: Offline
Life support: Offline
Main power: Offline
Secondary power: Offline
Auxillary power: Minimal
Loskene accesed the auxillary power controls. The computer read out: "Allocation"
"Which systems should be actived?" Loskene thought to himself. He accessed the life support, and allocated some power to it. Soon after, the room began to warm up slightly. Loskene sighed in relief. There was still 20% auxillary power left. Loskene was given two options. He could either allocate power to engines, or to the sensors. Loskene thought it over for a little bit. "Sure, the engines could get us out of here quickly, but what if the engines malifunction...? This ship hasn't been used in 100 years... Sensors... I wonder if they could be used to scan the area, maybe find others. Perhaps it can be used to get a signal to the Jefferson or Vesuvius.
Loskene struggled with the desicion. He hated making those kinds of decisions. But as a Commanding Officer, it was and always is his duty to make the difficult choices. Loskene compared the positive effects and the negative effects of both systems. He was in the middle of a tug of war, and one way or another, one side would have to win.
Loskene rubbed his chin nervously. He used the remaining 20% of power to be rerouted to sensors. Next to him, the science station computer began to flicker and activate. "At least the sensors work." Loskene thought. "Now, let's see what I can do with them...and quickly."
Loskene quickly moved over to the science station. He was hoping the subspace tranciever was still online. He wanted to get out a general distress call. If he was lucky, the distress call could be recieved by one of the two ships. He sent out the distress call, hoping for the best. Shortly after, Loskene walked back to the entrance. The air was stale, but warmer then before. Joni still seemed cold, but her lips and face did not look as flushed as before. Sonak and Raiben, however, still lied unconcious...

Nick ran towards the ship Raiben had broadcast about. L'Ola was beside him followed by a grumpy Ayan and disoriented Meylor, who held a bloodied cloth to his nose.
They arrived at the site to find blood splattered everywhere and found foot prints leading inside. Nick wrenched the hatch open and motioned an all clear for everyone to move inside. He hit his combadge hoping someone was near enough to hear it.
"Martens to Sonak," no answer.
"Martens to Loskene?"
=/\=Good to hear your voice Commander. Welcome aboard the uh U.S.S. Invincible. If you and Mr. Powers could make your way to the engineering level that'd be great.=/\=
"Sure thing. I'm sending Lt. Meylor and one of the scientists up to the bridge. L'Olas going to assist us in the engine room."
=/\= Alright. Try to get us some stable power. We're down to 20%, which is quite amaising since this ship is about 100 years old.=/\=
"Will do, Martens out."
Nick turned to Meylor and Ayan. They nodded and activated their lights and began their way to the bridge. Nick motioned to L'Ola and Max to an adjacent hall.
"I recognise this configuration," He said pointing at a faded diagram of the ship, "It's an old Sydney class, you know like the one Captain Scott was found on. I did a field mission on one of these when I was a cadet on Tandar. Engineering should be right through that door."
He planted his foot against the door and pushed. A satisfying crunch was heard and the door crashed to the ground. Dust swirled around highlighting the surrounding consoles and room features. L'Ola pulled out her tricorder and began scanning the consoles.
"This one over here should work," She pointed towards one next to the plasma relays.
"Good. Max check the intake valves and the antimatter storage. We need to know if we'll be able to start a reaction."
"Will do," He saluted and made his way into the back of the engine room.
"Ok," Nick muttered to himself, "We've got a 100 year old engine, lets see if I can still work my magic."
"All clear," Max yelled from the back.
"Any AM?" Nick yelled back.
"Enough, amaisingly the Aux power has kept the stasis field in tact. Oh and the injectors are clear enough to work."
"Good. L'Ola the plasma relays ready?"
"You bet."
"Alright lets try this. Max wanna monitor the mix ratios? I'll start reaction, their crystals are old but should work." He punched in a couple commands and his consol came to life. The core slightly flickered and then died. He punched in the sequence again and this time the core roared to life. All around stations began to power up and the lights came back on.
"L'Ola?"
"We've got 40% main power back, Engines are at 60%. Life support is fully online. Looks like we're good to go."
Nick hit his badge, "Sir we've got power online, don't know how long we have to get off this rock though. I'll get on boosting the comm signal and get transporters online."

Max was excited. Mixed ratios. Reminded him of the time he mixed his laundry with a female cadet's and ended up with her stuff. Oh he partied hard that night he did.
Anyways, Max watched as the mixed ratios were fine.
Max "Mix ratios are fine"
Nick was pleased that he got power online.
Max "Shall we...party like the time i bought a new BBQ?"
Nick "No."
Max "Ok"
Max started to munch on an apple. An Apple a day keeps the doctor away he thought to himself as he contuined to work on repairing more systems. He decided to head to some of the plasma relay stations located around the ship and start mending them so they would have an uninturepted power supply.
Max "I decided to head to some of the plasma relay stations located around the ship and start mending them so we will have an uninturepted power supply"
Nick "Ok Max. Go ahead. We could use all the help we can get."
Max "Indeed...we could...espically at a BBQ lunch"
Nick "Not now"
Nick was annoyed my Max constant attempts to bring lunch into it. He was also wondered if Max would do his job or just go off for lunch. Intresting thought he thought.
Max decided it was best to work and not have lunch, so he got started on a plasma relay near engineering. It was backing up power, and if he could let it flow freely, more power would be avaiable to the ship. Hmm...more power reminded him of the time he dressed up in womens clothing to win the House Party award at the Academy. He certainly looked cute in that dress that night. Offers from all the ladies...and men.
Well, back to work for Max.

She saw the fight between the creature and the officer. Then she saw a woman run to them. Who was she again? She wasn’t sure… she just knew that she didn’t care. As the support she had been having fell away, she sat down. She watched the man… Loskene… ran to the fight and then saw him looking frantically. In the mean while her attention had been drawn to the woman. She was lying there… not moving… She stood and fell over again. She spit the snow out of her face before just crawling to her. Then she sat down, not knowing what to do beside this. She felt herself smiling when the man didn’t look hurt when he returned.
She really didn’t. Hell, she would be surprised if she could point out anything at this moment. She coughed. Long and violently. She was happy that…. Loskene wasn’t around. She didn’t want to worry him too much.
She was warm, very warm… only the draft kept her jacket on. She walked in, leaving the women and man. She sighed as her foot didn’t want to do what she did, but didn’t let it stop her.
“Where are you going?!” The blue woman looked up at her, her hands were bloody, Joni noticed.
“To Loskene…” She answered. It was Sonak’s blood she suddenly realized. The woman nodded and she turned again. Walking along it was getting warmer. Her vision was becoming more blurred. She used the cloth to wipe off some drops of sweat from her forehead before walking further.
After three corridors she found herself where she had started and sat down, drawing her legs up. She’d just wait for the man to come to her. Yes, that was a good idea.

Sonak came to, feeling extremely sick. She felt her insides lurch as she tried getting to her feet, but since her stomach was already empty all that resulted was a series of gags. She gingerly pressed her hand against the back of her head and it came away green. She noticed a blur of blue beside her and felt cool hands probe her skull.
"nothing broken ma'am," the blur said, way too loud for Sonak's comfort, "let me just get a bandage set up before you will come down with an infection. We need your help ma'am, Mr Winters is badly hurt, and you are the only medic among us."
Her eyes starting to focus and the blue blur finally took the shape of Edani, who looked down at her with worry in her eyes, her antennae drooped. "Thank you Edani," she whispered, after the Andorian pressed a hypospray against her arm. Instantly, the vertigo lessened somewhat. "Assist me, and we shall get Mr Winters stabilized."
The Andorian aided Sonak to Winters side, and she looked him over. "Who had the sense of pressing down that tunic?" she asked, and Edani nodded towards Loskene, who was seeing to an obviously ill Joni. "Good thinking, it may have saved his life." She closed her eyes for a moment, ignoring the massive headache that was forming. "Do we have a laser scalpel? Yes of course we have. Had me my medical kit."
Together with Edani, Sonak worked to save Raiben's life. In the end, Sonak's energy was spent and she was feeling sick again.
"Edani!" came the cry from the door opening, "you are a sight for sore eyes, I thought you were dead!"
Edani stood, whirling to face the newcomer. "Ayan! Oh my god, Ayan! You're alive, how did you get here?"
"Saved by Commander Martens and his team," the male Andorian beamed, "they are in engineering."
"Nick...." Sonak whispered, smiling lightly before passing out again.

Raiben wathed the view of stars from his point. They are nearly touchable.
"Kell"he whispered. "You must find out the Bolian"

As Fox and Matthew along with the three scientist made there way to the Crash site fox started to hear Phaser fire over the Open comm. Channel “
Fox” hey Matthew I’m Hearing phaser fire coming for the Crash site we Better Pick-up the pace.
<<10 Minutes later >>
They Arrive at the crash site where they stop for a second for them all to catheter breath James out slowly watched his breath condense into vapors as it left his mouth.
“Matthew” ok let enter though the emergency Airlock doors as the door open both men draw there Phasers and aimed them in front of them ‘
“Matthew “ with the Tricord in his hand I’m not reading any life forms in this area ill Take the Left You’ll take the right”
“Fox” Aimed high and Matthew Aimed low as they enter the ship they move slowly in the dark with the three scientist right behind them “
“ Fox” started looking for a Computer console so they could tap in to the ship system and see just what was the ship status Fox start to tap on the console of the ship computer Well the main power is off line and life support offline ”
“Fox “ let make our way to main engineering .

They walked further through the dark corridors of the ship. Tricorder in one hand, scanning all the time, a phaser in the other, just in case. Behind them the three scientists walked.
Finally they came to, what looked like a lift. "Good." Fox said "we can use it to get to engineering." He stepped in front of it waiting for the door to open, forgetting for a while that there was no power.
"Aww i almost forgot." he said "No power.... Looks like we have to get there the hard way." Pointing to a panel next to the lift. "We got to go through the tubes." Already removing the panel.
A very dark hole appeared which Fox entered first after he had put away his tricoder and phaser and had taken a flashlight. "We have to go down."
Climbing down, at some point Fox lost grip with the hand in which he was holding the flashlight. Quickly he grabbed the ladder with both hands again, but dropped his flashlight which tumbled down.
<In engineering> Max and Nick were still busy getting the power online again when they heard a loud sound coming from one of the tubes. Quickly they drew their phasers and walked to the panel. Nick carefully removed it when suddenly a bright light shined in his face.
"Who is there?" he shouted. <Max/Nick?>

Nick gave a peaved look at the two XO's standing in the doorway of engineering. The lights flickered back to life and Max came crawling back out from under a console.
"Lightgrid back online," Max said.
"Sirs, while I apreciate your wanting to get things running I'm going to have to ask you to leave my engine room," Nick said. "We've got everything under control, we just overloaded the light circuits because they havn't been used in 100 years. Besides niether of you are engineers and are required on the bridge. Good day." He shooshed them out into the corridor and closed the doors.
Matthews looked quizically at Fox who just smiled ,"This normal?" he asked.
"Yeah pretty much. He doesn't like command officers trying to do his job."
The two Commanders made their way to the bridge deck. This time they could see where they were going due to the low lighting provided by engineering.
Nick hit his commbadge, "Bridge we're ready for lift off."
=/\= Alright Mr. Martens. Get us off this damned rock=/\=
"Will do sir. Get everyone secure, it's going to be a bumpy ride."
He nodded to Max and L'Ola who in turn sat down in their respective chairs. Max kissed his last steak and hung it around his neck and L'Ola quickly checked her consol.
"We're going to need someone to monitor hull integrity." Neither Max nor L'Ola moved, "Ah come on guys."
"I'll do it," came a voice from behind the core. Out stepped a Bolian. "I've been trying to get this thing to fly for a while. It's the least I can do."
"Thank you sir, take that consol over there. Ok people lets get this thing going. Max power up the engines and set a course for home."
"Aye sirrr, garr!" came the reply. He flipped down his eye patch.
OOC: I'll continue launch a bit later....

As L'Ola and Meylor made their way up to what they assumed should be the Bridge of this abandoned vessel, they both began to feel their physical strength gradually returning. Both had come very close to frostbite at the extremities, but fortunately they had come across the ship's rather spartan Medical Bay and managed to scrounge up a few assorted first aid supplies, plus a 100-year-old medical tricorder that, though it looked like a museum piece, still had enough juice left in its power cell to make decent biophysical scans. After a quick patch-up job, the pair continued their progress to the Bridge.
When they arrived, the slightly ajar door had to be forced open, due to a faulty servo-mechanism. A piece of wall panel, which had fallen from its place, was used as a crude doorstop to prevent the shutters from spontaneously closing again and possibly trapping them inside. Within, Meylor half-expected to find frozen corpses still at their respective stations. Instead, the scene that met his gaze was a remarkably ordinary one: it looked like the sparsely-furnished, functional scoutship command center that it should be, save for a few tell-tale signs of the craft's rough landing. Burn marks scarred the walls here and there, and one console in particular seemed to have been charred beyond repair, but obviously fire control systems had kicked in before the blaze had progressed any further. Presently, the steady hum of power was audible, and various lights and displays returned to operation, at least partially. Meylor nodded and smiled gladly at L'Ola, and they each went to a different station.
Meylor went to the Engineering console, and tried opening the intercom to Martens. "Engine Room, this is Meylor; we appear to have about 80% power to the Bridge. The Tactical station appears to have been burned to a crisp, but all other stations are nominal, except for some displays and keypads which have had minor fire damage. I'm getting confirmation of full power linkage between our locations, with no corrupted EPS lines. The door has experienced mechanical damage, so we've wedged it open for now. Oh, and the intercom is working, thank goodness...L'Ola has the system status breakdown for you..." He gestured for L'Ola to continue the report, and she did so.
"Sensors online; I can switch between short- and long-range, but not both at the same time. Communications are..." As she continued, Meylor made for the captain's chair, wishing he were somewhere else. From what little he had seen, both Sonak and Loskene were not looking well, and since Nick had to man the Engine Room for now, taking the Com was his task. Settling into the chair more out of exhaustion than satisfaction, Meylor pressed a few buttons on the chair arm listlessly, not expecting them to function. To his surprise, the viewscreen came to life, flickering with static and snow. With the flip of a switch, the audio element blasted on, at unbearable volume. He scrambled to shut it off once more.
L'Ola, interrupted by the sound, shot him an annoyed glance, then resumed her report to Nick. Meylor decided to adjust the environmental controls to a more tolerable climate, and as heat began to return to the room, Meylor found himself wondering just why he felt nearly as strong as he did. Not an hour previously, his system had been wracked with radiation poisoning. Now, as the analysis from the old tricorder told him, there was no trace of the radiation left in his body. What had happened? The only unusual thing that had occurred was the entity's possession of him...did that have something to do with it?
Before he could ponder this further, however, Commanders Fox and Matthew entered the Bridge and Meylor rushed up to shake their hands. "I can't tell you how glad I am to see you both alive and well. Just been keeping the seat warm for you..."

=/\=Looks like we've got all we need up here,=/\= L'Ola reported.
"Good. Well babe when we get home I swear we're going to spend some R&R time on the beaches of Vulcan."
=/\=Sounds good to me=/\= L'Ola smiled through the monitor.
"Fox you can take the ship out now. We've got everything ready to go down here."
Foxes face entered the view beside L'Ola, =/\=Alrighty. Mr. Paht take us up=/\=
Immediatly the ship began shuddering. Crunching and and the sounds of ice scraping the hull echoed through the ship. Outside ice exploded away from the ship as the thrusters fired wrenching the ship free of it's icy abode. Seconds later they were airborn, only for a few seconds then the engines hickuped slamming them momentarily into the ice again.
"Sorry," Max blurted from his consol a smirk crossing his face. The ship shot up into the air towards their destination, home.
~Vesuvius~
"Commander we've got a ship leaving the surface of Arctica!" The opps officer reported. Mark Harper whirled around with wide eyes.
"On screen," there on screen a small ship slowly moved upwards in the atmosphere.
"It's a Sydney class. Those were decomissioned 100 years ago," the officer reported.
"ETA?"
"At this speed I'd say in about 5 minutes."
Mark turned back to the viewscreen and stared in awe at the ship. It looked as though the away team had found a way to escape. Now it was a matter of waiting for them to arrive.
"They're entering the upper atmosphere sir," just after reporting his consol began beeping wildly. "Theres an energy cloud converging on the ship." Mark watched green energy pulse through the ships hull effectivly shutting down it's systems.
"Helm bring us into a low orbit, NOW! Barry lock a tractor beam on them take power from everything but the engines if you need to. Jefferson we may need your help to pull them up."
Fire began pulsing on the viewer as the ship entered the atmosphere to snatch the Invincible from it's death spiral. The Jefferson pulled alongside the Vesuvius and both locked their tractor beams simultaniously.
"We've got them!"
"Helm!!" Mark blurted.
"Aye!" and the view changed from the planets horizon back into the blackness of space.
"Sir the energy cloud is following us!" Tactical reported.
"What!?"
=/\= Martens to Vesuvius. Engage warp the cloud has a limited range but we need to move now!!=/\=
Mark nodded and the helmsman hit the warp button slingshotting them to a safe distance.

Ayan Mai yelped as the bumpy ride caused him to bump his head numerous times, everywhere and nowhere. ~Right now I'd wish I was anywhere but here~ he thought, but smiled as he felt the Andorian scientist cling to him in fear. The human smiled to himself, gratified he had his partner back. ~when we get out of this alive, I'll ask her to marry me~ he thought, his grin widening.
Edani, eyes wide with fear and antennae drooping, looked up at him as she felt his torso move with silent laughter. "What are you smirking about?" she asked, "this is not a situation to smirk in, we could die."
Ayan tightened his arms around her and gave her a hug. "Nothing my dear, and let's put a little faith in these two magnificent crews shall we? They saved our entire team, but three." Little did he know that the Bolian on their team was down in engineering. <I'm assuming the bolian is a scientist, if not Raiben let me know?>
He turned towards Loskene who was holding Joni. "Is there anything we can do to help her?" he asked, then nodded towards the Vulcan commodore who also had not moved since passing out again, "or her?"
From the other side, Meylor spoke up. "We have now been engaged by a tractorbeam from the Vesuvius," he reported, "I have already alerted sickbay."
Ayan nodded, and beamed with relief. "We'll help getting them to sickbay," he offered.

She couldn’t stand anymore. She just sat, hugging her knees to her. Her body was shaking with fever. The cough had gotten worse. Every breath came with a gurgle of fluid in her lungs. She didn’t notice it though. Nor did she hear or feel the tumult around her. As the ship shook she assumed she would fall. But she didn’t. An arm was around her. She leaned into the figure, surrendering to it.
Her eyes opened. She heard something. Panting. On the other side of the bridge, a large black wolf stood. It stepped forward, red eyes on her. Saliva dribbled down his chin. Her yellow and very sharp teeth blinked in the light. She stumbled back, but found she was already against a wall.
“No! No!” She called out as the wolf got closer. “No! Get away! Leave me alone!” She stumbled to her feet, but the sharp pain made her tumble over. Her eyes were wide in fear, but everyone was looking at her, not the wolf. She didn’t understand, how could they not see it?!
“Joni, Joni, calm down. There is nothing there.” A man. The one that was holding her. She pushed away from him, trying to crawl away. She took her eyes off of the wolf to plot her course, then looked back. The wolf was gone. She looked around, frantically. Where had it gone?!
But it was nowhere. Only the arms of the man, that pulled her to him again. Suddenly she was cold, freezing cold. She started shivering as another violent attack run though her lungs. She spit up slime. She was sick. Very sick. Something in the back of her mind screamed, but she couldn’t make heads or tails of it.
She fought the man that tried to hold her. “I have to go… I have to go…” She mumbled. The wolf could come back. She knew he would.
“Joni, listen to me!” The man’s voice was firm, so she turned to him, meeting his eyes. “You are not going anywhere okay? You are sick. We are going to get you to sickbay. You are having delusions due to the fever.” She shook her head violently, feeling light-headed right away.
“No! No! The wolf! It’s coming for me!” She yelled. He pulled her closer to him. Apparently he figured that his approach wasn’t working well, so he tried something different.
“Stay close to me and I’ll protect you okay? I won’t let it hurt you. You can trust me. You trust me, don’t you?” He said. She looked at him though foggy eyes. Even though she wasn’t sure who he was, her heart told her that she could trust him, so she nodded slowly and settled into his arms.
“Good. Now just watch out for the wolf. When you see it again, warn me, okay?” He said. She nodded. Another cough. More slime. Suddenly she felt hot again. But at least the wolf wasn’t there and she was safe.
