After the Captain left, B'reca filed the notes she'd made, hoping that Captain Cir'Kem would keep to her promise. It would set a good example if the ship's CO kept her health in good condition. Now that she had time to think, it occurred to her that something might be wrong with Andae. B'reca wasn't very good at analysing the behaviour of humans, but she was sure that he had been acting strangely. In fact, he'd been acting a little like her. She toyed with the idea of contacting him and asking why he hadn't yet made an appointment with her, but she dismissed it as being too mean. Andae was the closest thing she had to a friend on this ship, and he'd been through a lot on their last mission. She would send him a message later, asking how he was recovering, and let him decide whether he trusted her enough to let her perform a physical.
Two appointments later, Tiana Galwyn turned up in her sickbay. For some odd reason, B'reca felt a little nervous as the Commander swept her eye over the room. She felt a desire for the woman's approval.
"Take a seat over here," she said, ushering Tiana to a biobed. She repeated the procedures that had been a little rusty at first when she'd performed them on the Captain, but were now becoming familiar again.
"Is there something on your mind?" she asked as she took the Commander's temperature. Today must be a day for being observant, she thought to herself. Maybe the humans in Starfleet were more expressive than the humans she'd come into contact with in the past.

"Take a seat over here," the doctor said. Tiana turned, her attention rapidly diverting from the display of protein sequences. She followed the doctor and obediently sat on the biobed
"Is there something on your mind?" B'reca asked
Tiana grinned in response. "Always, I think I would cease to function if I didn't have a problem or two to work on. At the moment it's mostly modifications to the Victory's sensors." She paused "Which reminds me I better talk to our new CEO before I do too much fiddling. I gather you and he were on the same training mission, how was it?"
Tag: B'reca
She listened to B'reca but also kept watch on what the doctor was doing, not because she didn't trust her but because she was interested. She looked back at the doctor. "Sorry I keep staring at the read-outs, I'm just being curious. It always winds my doctors up." She paused again.
Tag:
"Just to warn you, I promised my staff they'd be doing database analysis if they didn't book appointments for their physicals and as I know how much they love that I expect you'll have them all on the comm fairly soon."

B'reca seemed to finish the exam and stepped back from the biobed. "So how am I?" Tiana asked

Before the young CEO knew it several replies to his request came flooding in. This surprised him, although it wasn't the thing that surprised him most. The thing that surprised him most was that one of the callers was Captain Cir'Kem. Well, I haven't had a proper talk with her yet, Blakus wouldn't admit it but it did make him nervous, but excited him at the same time. Having a coffee with his commanding officer in the mess. Blakus then realised that the Captain's reply had been more of a question in itself, so he thought he better call back, he tapped his commbadge, "Captain, of course I don't mind, you would be completely welcome. Shall I see you in the mess hall then sir?"
Without waiting for Cir'Kem's certainly positive reply Andae straightened his uniform and left his quarters.
The doors to the mess whooshed open and Blakus stepped in. He took in the aroma; coffee, baked bread, and various other smells that he couldn't discern but was sure they were exuding from something delicious. He spotted Commander Matthew sitting at a table with another officer. He approached and greeted them, "Commanders," he acknowledged, he pulled up a chair and introduced himself to the other officer, "Lieutenant Andae Blakus, chief engineer." He offered his hand.
The officer took it and introduced himself, "Lieutenant Commander Craven." Noticing that the other two officers already had a drink, Blakus went and fetched himself a coffee. Luckily he didn't have to go through the same routine as in his quarters earlier. The ship's replicators now remembered his voice and produced a coffee to what it presumed was his liking.
"Excellent," he said as he tasted it, the replicators in Starfleet were now very clever, better than those ones of a couple of decades ago. He headed back over to the table and sat with a sigh.
"Hard day?" Craven asked.
Blakus chuckled, "You have no idea," he replied, "Hard week!" Blakus addressed Commander Matthew, "How's your day been Sir? Planning for the mission or just doing general work?"
<Tag Matthew>
"If you'd like, we could begin going over those specs for the Kavris moon base. The unsound, poor construction that it is." He smiled. They were in the mess for some time off but the mission was the first thing that sprang to Blakus' mind.

‘Cmdr Matthew ok Lieutenant I have spent half of my adult life on star base and star ships im sure you noted in the station schematics unlike Starfleet designed star base’s Valnot and Pelli Technology was believed to be outdated and obsolete until they where able to destroy two of star fleet Prometheus class ships and Starfleet still has no idea how they did it “
“Cmdr Matthew ‘oh bye the way Lieutenant while we are there star fleet intelligent would like for us to look around the place and see if we can find out anything about new weapons system they may have on the station but between me and you ‘I think they have already been removed before we have arrive ’ I know I would ‘
“ Cmdr Matthew ‘Lieutenant if you would take a look at you Hand Padd you can see some of the problems that need to be Addressed once we arrived on station ,
1. all command. Authorization need to be changed
2 a full security check of all decks and care out back ground checks on all Station Personal that have been assigned to the station ‘
3 Level 1 system check for all key station systems
4. Deck Bye Deck security Check of all access codes Cmdr Stone will be handling this as well as the personal security for all Diplomats and there Staff , you can take my word for it he will earn his pay the hard way Caring out this Assignment ‘
5 full Engineering check of the Station Handle bye the chief Engineer and his Department .
6. We will be using the Victory new updated passive scanners to scan suspicious area. Of the station that are heavy Shielded we didn't want to risk whoever may have place some kind of a Explosive device from finding out that they are on to them.
7 we need to establish a no fly zone around the station doing this Diplomatic mission just in case there any cloaked ships star fleet fill the Needier the Valnot or the Pelli have a History of hiring Mercenaries But there could be a first time we should be prepared just in case “ “The list continued”
‘Cmdr Matthew “ Stop Smiles so Lieutenant Blakus' Beside the headaches of this mission how do you like being the chief Engineering officer on a star ship and running a full Department.

“Captain, of course I don't mind, you would be completely welcome. Shall I see you in the mess hall then sir?”
“I'll see you there,” Nika said, then realized that the comm channel had already closed. She sighed softly to herself, not annoyed at Blakus for not waiting, but just that the words had been unnecessary.
She ended up having to deal with approving a change to the roster before she got down to the mess hall. She arrived to see Blakus and Matthew at a table. Since they both had their drinks already, Nika walked past them to the replicator to pick up a ginger tea before joining the two. She didn't say anything to immediately get their attentions; she didn't have any wish to interrupt.
As she was sitting down, the talk shifted from talk of the mission to more personal conversation. This was a pleasant experience for Nika, as she was more used to things going the other way. Still not wishing to stop the other officers' conversation, she saw that she was noticed, then sat down at the table, waiting for Blakus' answer.

"So Lieutenant Blakus' Beside the headaches of this mission how do you like being the chief Engineering officer on a star ship and running a full Department."
Blakus was happy for the conversation to move on to something more casual, talk of the mission was informative, especially the padd that Cmdr. Matthew had handed him, but he was meant to be off duty. "Well," he started his reply, at that moment Captain Cir'Kem appeared at the table and sat down. Blakus glanced in her direction and paused, he felt slightly intimidated by her presence and it put him off his stride, which was unusual for him. He started again, "Well, it is daunting, many of the officers in engineering are more experienced than me. I feel like one of those green officers with all the technical knowledge but not much else, plunged into the deep end." He laughed a little, "It's not that bad really. I relish the challenge." Blakus had said that he felt like one of those green officers, but it was actually true.
He felt that he better greet the Captain, "Nice for you to join us Captain, how has your day been?" he asked. That's a perfectly reasonable question to ask, Blakus assured himself. He didn't know why he was being so careful, there had been no problems relating to senior staff on the Hepta. Blakus' thought processes quickly formulated the idea that he had been eager to prove himself to his superiors before, and now his mind was perhaps slipping into uncertainty. Seems a sensible explanation, he thought, No, actually it's rubbish. The Hepta mission was only a week ago, his psyche couldn't change that quickly... could it?
All this passed through the young officer's head in a couple of seconds, the length of time it had taken the Captain to respond. The conversation continued steadily, the Captain started talking to Commander Matthew and Blakus sat back and looked around. The mess on this ship was similar in size to the one on the Galaxy class Hepta, probably because the Galaxy and Nebula's saucer sections were pretty much the same. He slipped into deeper thoughts, unintentionally withdrawing from conversation.

Russell was still not use to wearing red even after a full day of constant reports and people asking him questions. ‘I must remember to ask Nack when I see him next how he did it’ walking down the corridor to Ten Forward he bumped into Tiana making her way back to the science labs. “Hey, do not call me sir” Russell waited a second for her to realise who it was that said that as she had her head in a Padd. “Thought I would say it before you said sir out of habit. Now what is this I hear of you planning some sort of dinner tonight?” Russell had heard from the science officer on the bridge last night, she seemed unable to keep her mouth shut.
<Tag Tiana>
Russell smiled, he knew they would arrive tomorrow and he wanted to see Tiana before they arrived and had work between them again. “Well it will have to be a small dinner I am afraid, I have a bundle of paperwork to do and we arrive tomorrow in the Kavris system.” As Tiana eventually accepted the change to plans he walked into ten forward to read a few reports before making his way up to the bridge.
---That Evening---
As Russell Arrived at Tiana’s quarters Russell was extremely tired from trying to make sure everything was ready for their arrival. As Tiana opened the door Russell looked at her in amassment as her dress caught his eye. As she welcomed him in Russell smelt what he expected would be a great meal waiting for him. Kissing Tiana he then made his way to the seat before he collapsed. Russell was not paying to much attention to what was going on around him so he jumped when he felt Tiana kiss him from behind. “Sorry I think I got myself distracted it’s been a long day” Russell smiled as Tiana set out to dishing out the meal.
… (OOC Tiana to fill in this part)…
Russell stood up and reluctantly kissed Tiana good night before making his way back to his quarters passing a few officers in the corridor how all said sir to him as he passed ‘I am not going to get use to people always calling me sir’ arriving in his quarters he was happy to find he had no messages waiting for him and after a quick wash he collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep.
---The next day---
Russell was awoken by his alarm and angry that he was still too tired he almost throw the near by shoe at the computer screen before he calmed himself. Dressing him quickly checked if he had any messages, and other than the normal status reports there was nothing else. Glad of this he quickly read the reports so he was aware of anything then began to make his quick way to the bridge. Everyone he passed seemed more energetic then normal, he expected some thought they could get some shore leave on the planet, with its atmosphere blocking all comms from outside and the beaches accordingly clear and beautiful he felt he might have to ask if the crew could take a small rest after the ceremony was complete. Walking onto the bridge he quickly relieved the night duty officer and then took the captain’s seat while he checked the final details, the three governments had sent details of the ceremony to them the previous day to look over and they expected to run this in 2 days. Most of the details he had made sure were forwarded to the CTSO and captain as they both needed to know, Russell still felt a small amount of envy from Commander Sharp over Russell being promoted over him but Russell felt that discussing it would not help and he hoped Robert would come to him at some point.
As the helm officer reported that they were 10 minutes from the Kavris system Russell quickly tapped his comm. badge “Captain Cir’Kem, we will be arriving in the Kavris system momentarily” Russell watched as they continued to rocket toward the Kavris system, Russell felt completely nervous and was hoping that Nika would arrive on the Bridge before they received the first communication, but as time passed and she did not arrive Russell began to resigned himself to his fate. “Okay, drop us out of warp” He ordered to the helm officer and as they dropped out he saw for the first time the planet to which they would be staying for the next few days. As a communication came though Russell ordered it to be placed on the main viewer. Russell watched as a image of a young man appeared on the view screen, he was wearing a small medallion made of gold and with a elaborate pattern on the front, he was wearing what looked like a extremely rich robe and had the look of someone important. Standing Russell began to speak “This is the Federation Star ship USS Victory C, on behalf of the federation and the ships crew I request permission to enter orbit over Kavris three.” Russell hoped that had sounded okay, he smiled as the young man smiled “On behalf of the Council of Kavris welcomes you to our fair planet and grant permission to enter orbit. I am High Councillor Mila to whom am I speaking, as I was lead to understand that we were expecting a female captain for the ceremony.”
Russell shocked at himself for not saying that earlier quickly answered before he could start looking red “I am sorry, my name is Commander Russell Davis, and I am the First Officer. We would like to being work immediately if you would allow, our medical teams are all ready and our engineering team would like to give the station a once over just to be sure” Russell felt open requested ensured no one could say they were not asked. “Of course, our medical staff have been awaiting your arrival with great interest and our engineers say that they could do with an extra pair of hands to get the station operational in time” Russell looked at the man in amassment ‘well looks like Andae was correct’ “Will do, Victory out” As the comm. channel closed he immediately sent out the order to start moving teams over to their various locations. It was at this moment that he noticed the Captain standing near the back of the bridge, making his way around he quickly asked in a quiet tone “ummm captain how long were you standing there for?”
<Tag Captain / ALL>
(OOC sorry for the length but I will be losing internet connection in the next few days and thought I would post both parts up today, no rush getting to the end of my post, feel free to stay in the journey until after Christmas. And merry Christmas in case I do not get back on again lol)

“It's been fine,” Nika responded, smiling broadly at Blakus. She wasn't sure what else she could do to put the officer at ease, but she'd continue to try. She didn't like that she was making him so nervous. “It's good to have the ship repaired and up to spec again.”
The talk didn't really seem to be flowing that much, and Blakus had withdraw into himself, so Nika talked to Commander Matthew until she finished her tea, then noted her regret at having to leave. But she did need to leave, because, frankly, she needed sleep.
**
Nika woke before her alarm by a good forty-five minutes, but she only ever set the alarm as a back-up. She had some breakfast, went to the holodeck to exercise, marking down the exact details of both for the CMO's later reading pleasure. After showering and changing into her dress uniform, Nika went to the bridge.
And then it was time for part of the continual paperwork and management that keeping the Victory working and optimally staffed required. Given the situation, Davis' information for her that they were entering the Kavris system came as both a minor annoyance and an all-too-welcome break.
She entered the bridge too late to start the conversation with the High Councilor Mila, so Nika made the decision to stay out of the way, rather than interrupting. When the conversation was over, Davis noticed Nika. “Ummm captain how long were you standing there for?” he asked.
“Not that long,” Nika replied. “But from what I saw, you handled yourself well. Sorry I didn't make it to the bridge earlier.”
She shrugged. =/\=This is Captain Cir'Kem to all members of the away teams, please report to transporter room two=/\= Nika nodded to Davis. “That includes me,” she said, not sure how nervous of a first officer he would be. Many people seemed to take the whole Captain stays on the ship idea even more seriously than it was intended by Starfleet Command. There were, simply enough, situations when Nika had to leave the ship.
But since she couldn't tell whether Davis was wary about having her go or not, she wanted to both reassure him if necessary, but not wind up worrying him accidentally instead. There were some details about the ceremony she needed to discuss with the respective leaders, and Nika hoped her presence already on the station might have a dampening effect on any possible tensions. Which was why Nika needed to go over now, rather than simply transporting over right before the ceremony. “I'll be in contact and let you know if anything comes up,” she added, before heading off to transporter room two.

Lieutenant Blakus stopped his work in engineering upon hearing the order from the Captain. He took a breath, "Ok, I want Lieutenant Holland, Ensigns Bligh and Taylor." He called out to the whole of engineering. The two men and one woman came up to him. "You three will lead a team made up of crewmembers of your choice, we're heading to the base on the neutral moon as I'm sure you know."
"Yes sir."
"Ensign and crewmen," Blakus signalled to three other men, "Your'e with me. Oh remember to bring some pattern enhancers. There may be transporter interference." The other officers followed Blakus out of engineering and to the transporter room. They entered the transporter room carrying their gear. "... and Holland, your team will beam into the secondary power core. My team, we're checking over the main primary power core." His engineering team acknowledged the orders and beam out commenced.
OOC: Not sure if it's ok to beam over yet, if it isn't then this next bit can just be a bit later on.
The coalescing light of the transporter faded to produce a motley looking room. "Ah." A man immediately approached Blakus' team. "You must be the Victory's chief engineer," he said, "My name is Tun-Ga, I'm the base's construction coordinator, welcome to the station." He greeted them warmly.
Blakus gave a small smile and stepped forward straight away, seeking out where the main power core might be with his furiously active eyes. "You guess correctly, Tun-Ga, I am Lieutenant Andae Blakus, Victory's Chief Engineer."
"Well, good to meet you, we appreciate your help, our engineers assure me the base is fine, but I would rather have a starfleet officer's opinion." He said, smiling. Blakus quickly tried to evaluate the man from his experience with him so far. He seemed pleasant enough, very earnest. And he seemed to have a good deal of respect for starfleet, unlike some of his forebearers, Blakus thought. Tun-Ga was leading them into an adjacent room, seemingly small compared to the fairly sizeable one the team were in at the moment. "The main power core Lieutenant." Tun-Ga announced.
"The main power core?" He asked for confirmation, it was rather dark in there, Blakus observed. Tun-Ga nodded, still smiling. Another man came up from behind Tun-Ga. Tun-Ga became aware of him and turned.
"Oh, hello Lhoy," he said. "Gentlemen this is Lhoy, the main engineer on the base." Lhoy nodded at Blakus and his team and the Victory's CEO instantly saw the resentment in his expression, and was there anger in there somewhere? "Perhaps you could show them the core personally Lhoy?" Tun-Ga prompted the resentful engineer quietly.
Lhoy guided them into the room which in fact turned out to be much bigger than it had first appeared. "The core." Lhoy said simply as they walked in. The core itself was at the back of the room and took up two floors. There was a gantry running along the top level right next to the core. Blakus felt like he needed to get out a palm-light with it being so dark in the room. The main control panel was actually set into the right wall, close to where they came in.
"Ok.." Blakus said while looking around, "You two," he got the attention of the two crewmen, "Check over the subsidiary systems, Ensign you and me are checking the core itself." The two officers climbed up to the top level via an access ladder and walked along the gantry. Blakus checked the system quickly. "Right," he tapped his commbadge, =/\=Victory, this is Lieutenant Blakus, I am in the main power core and am proceeding to check the system, let's hope it works when it's full power is utilised.=/\=

"Lt Blakus what your location we are Down on Deck 4 Section 34 west”
Blakus recognised Commander Matthew's voice and tapped his own badge. "Commander, Blakus here, we're two floors above you in the main power core room. What is your location Commander?."
<Tag: Matthew>
"Copy that, sir. I'll join you shortly. Blakus out." The channel closed.
<Tag: Matthew>
Andae continued his study of the core's console. This thing's a mess... he thought. The core's power was distributed in a very peculiar way, and junctions in the conduits distributing that power were very inefficient in their power transfer, not to mention the conduits themselves. He frowned, he'd just seen something, or rather a lack of something. He scanned back a couple of screens and found the source of his frown.
Approximately 15% of the power's usage was encrypted. It was impossible for Blakus to see what that 15% was being used for. "Ensign, what do you make of this?" Blakus asked the ensign standing two metres away from him.
The same frown appeared on the junior officer's face, "Odd sir, what is this power being utilised for?"
"That's what I mean Ensign. What is it being used for...?" Blakus looked around, he knew who might be able to answer his question, "Lhoy?" he called. He thought he saw a moving shadow of something flitting in the deeper shadow's of the room. "Lhoy?" he repeated louder. "Lhoy!" Someone ran out of the room. Then they heard a couple of short beeps and then a steadily increasing tone.
"What's that?" Blakus heard one of the crewmen on the lower level mutter.
"It's a plasma grenade!" Blakus yelled with sudden urgency, adrenaline took over, but he didn't know where to run, the structure of the room made it impossible to tell where the grenade was. Before he could do anything else the grenade exploded right by the two crewmen on the bottom level. Blakus and the ensign were thrown to the metal grate of the gantry's floor on the top level. They felt it shake and it's integrity buckled. The supports on the right hand side of the gantry crumpled from the nearby explosion and snapped. The gantry swung loose and the two officers started slipping down!

=/\=This is Captain Cir'Kem to all members of the away teams, please report to transporter room two=/\= Nika nodded to Russell. “That includes me,” Russell was not shocked at this, the order had said the captain would be the one who would go on the mission, that did not mean Russell was completely happy with the idea but he would just have to watch this very closely. “Well I would get going then Captain”. “I'll be in contact and let you know if anything comes up,” Russell hoped she would, as Nika walked off the bridge Russell returned to reading though the rest of the reports and listening in on the comm. chatter between the various away teams, Russell hoped nothing would happen between now and the ceremony in two days time. No sooner had he thought that then he heard an officer on the bridge shout out that there had been an explosion near one of the away teams. ‘Well that was fast, I think that must be a record for getting into trouble’ Russell knew the officers on the away team could deal with any problems so he would hold off just dragging them back.
=/\= Away team, this is the Victory. We just picked up an explosion, what is going on? =/\= Russell just hoped that this explosion was an accident otherwise this could become a very big problem.

“I will accompany you to where you are going. I will not feel comfortable if I don't accompany you and I believe Commander Davis will agree with that,” Commander Sharp said.
“If you think that's for the best,” Nika said, having her own doubts about whether having the Security Commander would make the visit less stressful for Davis. “As a warning, though, you'll probably be enlisted to join in the ceremonies in some formal way. I don't suppose there will be that much need for you, but if you'd feel better coming along?”
Commander Sharp indicated that he would. Upon arriving at the base, Nika was met by High Councillor Mila and she separated from her Chief Operations and Engineering Officers. Nika wasn't sure what she was wanted for just now. With the base not yet fully operational, there was very little ceremony she could be expected to participate in yet. But she followed Mila when he indicated she should do so. Nika wasn't sure what position High Councillor really was, in the grand hierarchy of everything, but if it was as important as it sounded, Mila looked rather young.
“Did you have any doubts about this new peace you'll be entering into with your neighboring powers?” Nika asked, because she wanted to know before they happened if there would be any problems. Apparently that wouldn't be a wish which would be granted. =/\= Away team, this is the Victory. We just picked up an explosion, what is going on? =/\=
=/\=Nothing on my end=/\=Nika said. =/\=Cir'Kem to Blakus, please report=/\= Nika said, stopping her footsteps when she didn't receive an immediate reply. =/\=Blakus, report=/\=she repeated, already figuring out how to get to engineering from where they were and how to convince Sharp to let her go to engineering if Blakus was in any trouble.

All was dark, and then Andae Blakus slowly opened his eyes, What had just happened?
=/\= Away team, this is the Victory. We just picked up an explosion, what is going on? =/\=
Everything that had happened proceeding the explosion came flooding back to Blakus and he painfully, slowly rose to his feet. He coughed from the dust of the explosion and it finally occurred to him that he was being contacted.
=/\=Cir'Kem to Blakus, please report=/\=
=/\=Blakus, report=/\=
Snapping himself out of his delirium, Blakus tapped his commbadge. "Blakus reporting..." he spluttered out another cough, "...Sir." The Captain asked what was going on. "Plasma grenade, went off in our proximity, I know who it was." Blakus had stated that he knew who it was, as if it was a fact. It was highly likely that he was correct, but it showed a portion of Blakus' character that he had assumed himself to be right. Cir'Kem said that she was on the way to him.
The CEO took in the state of the room, the dim lights were now completely dark, smashed by the explosion. Debris was scattered everywhere and the gantryway was hanging by one end. He stumbled over to where his accompanying ensign was lying on the ground, by the collapsed gantry. "Ensign, Ensign!" The man grunted and moved, signifying that he was still alive. The case was not so when Blakus found the lifeless, battered forms of the two non-commissioned crewmen. They had been flung against the wall by the blast and then badly burned by the heat radiation. "God damn..." murmured Blakus. He ran out of the room and noted that he had a pain in his right side.
As Lieutenant Blakus left the room the chief coordinator, Tun-Ga, came running up to him. "Lieutenant!" He called. "We heard the explosion and came as fast as we were able." Several others followed Tun-Ga into the room bearing medical equipment.
Blakus looked at Tun-Ga and concealed his anger beneath formality, "That engineer," he began, "Lhoy's his name? He did this."
"What?" Tun-Ga looked horrified, "Impossible."
"It was him! He didn't exactly seem delighted for us to be here anyway and I saw him run out of the room, he dropped an explosive device in his wake."
Tun-Ga lowered his head and looked rather forlorn in Blakus' opinion. "It is true that he bears deep resentment." He said. "And there has been much opposition to starfleet's participation in this treaty, terrorists have been threatening..."
"Well that's it then is it not?" Blakus snapped at him slightly and instantly regretted it, Tun-Ga didn't deserve that, being the decent upstanding man he appeared to be. "I think," Blakus said more softly, "You should alert your security to find Lhoy, we can't risk having him attack again."
Tun-Ga drew himself up, "I agree Lieutenant." With that he went off to do what Blakus presumed was what he suggested. Blakus went back to the core room to assist the station's medics, and to wait for Captain Cir'Kem...

"Entering the Kavris system now Colonel" the piloting ensign announced back to Tiberian as the shuttle dropped out of warp, progressing into the solar system on impulse.
"Well this is easier than last time" Tiberian stated as he scanned for the Victory's transponder signal "When I was first assigned here, I had to chase them at warp. At least this time they're stationary"
"Do you know what assignment they're on?" Martinez asked, coming forwards to look over Tiberian's shoudler at the console.
"No idea, but so long as I don't end up dead, again, this could probably be quite a step up" He turned to the ensign "Open hailing frequencies to the Victory" The channel was opened.
=/\=This is Lieutenant Colonel Wong aboard the shuttle Tolstoy to USS Victory. We have party of three to beam over, plus luggage=/\=
A familiar voice replied.
=/\=Beaming you over momentarily, stand by. Good to have you back sir=/\=
=/\=Thank you Mr Tallows, energise when ready=/\=
~Aboard the Victory~
Tiberian stepped down from the transporter padd, exchanging salutes with Tallows before turning back to help Katie and Martinez with their collective luggage.
"We'd better go and report in to the bridge. I have no idea what we're going to do with the bags though"
"I'll call some of your marines to get them to your quarters" Tallows helpfully interjected "I think they'd be glad to know you're back"
"Thank you Lieutenant. The rest of you..."
They departed the transporter room and made their way to the main turbolift on the deck. Tiberian and Martinez strode along confidently, all to familiar with the old ship. Katie on the other hand simply gawked at her surroundings as they progressed. They entered the turbolift, and in moments reached the bridge. There, Tiberian walked around to the centre circle, seeing an officer sat in the Captain's chair, dealing with what appeared to be an explosion on the planet's surface. He came to attention.
"Lieutenant Colonel Tiberian Wong reporting for duty as Senior Marine Officer. Who might I be addressing?"
<TAG Davis>
Tiberian came to attention again and saluted, half of his mind wondering what had happened to Nack.
"Sir. Is there some sort of situation, and where is the Captain?"

B'reca was glad to have Tiana by her side as they beamed down to Valnot. Although she would never admit it, she was nervous about entering a potentially hostile situation. Perhaps a warrior would have strode into the transporter room without fear, but B'reca would have thought them a fool. She kept one hand on her phaser as she rematerialised and was greeted by a handful of officials whose names she promptly forgot.
When she was led to a hospital and showed where she could set up her equipment, B'reca started to feel more at home. This was a place where she could be useful and feel confident in her ability to help. She left the rest of her team to set up and wandered off to "check out" the situation, as a human would eloquently put it.
The radiation wards spanned half of the hospital, and B'reca found herself walking down rows of beds with dirty sheets, scanning each patient and finding the same readings. Many of these people were beyond help, and all of them were very sick. The stench of rotting flesh was strong enough to make her stomach roll.
Returning to where her team had just finished setting up, B'reca took a case of antibiotics and motioned for two of the nurses to follow. "We need to identify the worst cases and treat them first," she explained as she led the way back to where she had come from. "I honestly don't think we can cure them all, but at least we can ease their pain."
As the nurses started administering the drugs, B'reca tapped her comm. badge. =^=Lt Keran to Cmdr Galwyn. How are you doing, Tiana? Have your scans picked up anything useful?=^=

Blakus was assisting the station personnels' efforts in cleaning up the room, when four columns of light appeared and faded to produce medical staff from the Victory. The lead medic, an officer, spotted Blakus and walked over to him. The other medics went to the injured ensign. "Lieutenant," the officer addressed Blakus, "Are you alright?"
Andae nodded, "I'm ok, just a slight pain in my side but it isn't to bad." He reassured the medic and then asked him a question. "Who gave the order to transport?" he asked.
"We received an order from Commander Davis, I think it was Commander Matthew who reported that you weren't responding to his comcalls."
"I must have still been unconscious," Blakus muttered, he tapped his commbadge, =/\=Commander Matthew, Lieutenant Blakus here. I'm alright, but I've got two men down.=/\=
<Tag: Matthew>
He tapped his badge again to contact Victory, =/\=Victory this is Blakus, I'm alright. I've been speaking to the chief coordinator of the station. Me and him think we've got a terrorist loose on the base. Please advise.=/\=
<Tag: Davis>
Andae looked over to where the medics were treating the ensign. They had just finished and looked to be getting ready to beam back to the ship. Great first away mission in charge, Blakus thought. Andae wasn't blaming himself, it was just frustrating for him to go through this, he consoled himself that it was all part of the service. "Don't worry ensign, you'll be back in action soon I'm sure," he said to the downed junior officer.
Two of the medics and the ensign were then transported out in a beam of coalescing light, back to the Victory.

OOC: Back post.
Tiana was strolling through the Victory's corridors and reading up on the Karvis system at the same time. It was going very well until she banged in to another crewmember and stumbled
"Hey, do not call me sir" Tiana recognised the voice and looked up. Russell continued "Thought I would say it before you said sir out of habit. Now what is this I hear of you planning some sort of dinner tonight?"
Tiana smiled. "Let me guess, Martha has bridge duty at the moment." She shook her head slightly. "I was planning a celebration for you. My quarters 20:00?"
"Well it will have to be a small dinner I am afraid, I have a bundle of paperwork to do and we arrive tomorrow in the Kavris system." Tiana thought about that for a moment, much as she wanted to see Russell she did not want to cause him extra hassle in his new job. "Of course. See you later." With a smile and a wave she departed back to the science lab.
The rest of the day passed uneventfully and Tiana got back to her quarters with a pile of reading and enough time to prepare for a quiet dinner for two. She laid the table and changed into a swirling knee length jade green dress with a V neck line.
The doorchime went at 20:00 exactly. Tiana opened the door. Russell smiled but he looked tired. She could tell he liked her dress though. He kissed her and she ushered him to his seat.
Tiana looked at Russ for a moment as he slumped in his seat. She stepped behind him and kissed his neck wrapping her arms around him at the same time. "Sorry I think I got myself distracted it’s been a long day"
"Don't worry about it." Tiana said. "Just relax." She passed out the starter, toasted mini bagels with smoked salmon with white grape juice.
The mini bagels made Russell smile, it seemed she had remembered. As he ate he realised that it had been a long time since he hd last eaten and he started to feel not so tired any more.
A main course of roast chicken followed. The conversation was light but somehow still meaningful. It was so nice just to spent time together. The stresses of the day just seemed to melt away.
The dessert was a rich chocolate moose. Tiana somehow ended up with a smear of chocolate on her cheek, Russ smiled when he noticed and then reached across the table to wipe it away. She broke into a broader smile and caught his hand for a second or two. "Caffiene free coffee?" Tiana offered. Russ nodded and she served the coffee.
Tiana swallowed. "You mean a lot to me Russ and I know I'm a bit biased." Russ smiled as he sipped his coffee. "but I think you'll be a great first officer and want you to know that I'm here for you."
Russ didn't quite know what to say in response to that. "Thank-you. You mean a lot to me too."
They both yawned then, Tiana hadn't registered that she was tired; Russell was surprised that he had stayed awake this long. "I guess I should go..." he said.
Tiana nodded slowly, much as she would have liked him to stay they both needed their sleep. Russ got to his feet and kissed her goodbye. She walked the three steps to the door with him and they said another farewell at the door.
When Russ had left Tiana slung the dishes in the replicator to be recycled and then got ready for bed. She set an alarm and switched out the lights.

"Lt Blakus."
Andae jumped a little as Commander Matthew entered the burned out room. "Yes sir?" he said in a subdued tone of voice.
"Nice to see your not Dead Lieutenant What a mess “I hear it was a plasma grenade”. The Ops chief said with a great degree of detachment, seemingly making light of the situation. He looked around the wrecked place.
A corner of Blakus' mouth lifted with the suggestion of a smile, he was slightly amused at Matthew's style."Yes," Blakus said in reply, "And so far two of my technicians are dead and an ensign from my away team is in sickbay with cuts, burns and broken bones."
“ Yeah that hard way to start a new Command," Matthew consoled the lieutenant, "Cmdr Sharp security teams have been posted to all command and control high security areas of the station anyone entering are leaving will be check for now”
Matthew got out his tricorder and started scanning the bulkhead, "You know Lieutenant you are a very Luck man judging by theses Scans if that plasma grenade had been just a Little closer to this wall this bulkhead would have fell and all of this room would have open to space killing everyone ‘. The thought of such a thing sent a shiver down Blakus' back. He didn't say anything and his last thought stuck in his mind.
"Well Lt," Matthew continued as he kept performing his scans, "We no longer have to guess about if the inhabitants of this station want us here are not THEY DON’T AND THEY ARE WILLING TO KILL US TO DO SO “
"Commander no I disagree. I have already spoken and worked with some of the station staff. It appears that most of them are happy for us to be here, it's just a select few. At least, that's what I've been told." The last thing Blakus had said gave Matthew reason to uphold his argument, he looked at Blakus tellingly. "Ok sir, there could be more of these terrorists than the man I have spoken with was suggesting there was. But I still think we shouldn't just assume they are all enemies!" Blakus wasn't ready to condemn all of the Kavrisians just yet, and he believed the station construction coordinator Tun-Ga. He hadn't meant to react as he did to Matthew's statement, but he believed that the Kavrisians should be given a chance to show they had changed.
Commander Matthew changed the subject, "Cmdr Sharp has requested that all of the debris from the Explosion be saved so I have arranged that cargo bay nine on the Victory be used ‘there his security teams can analyze it piece by piece I have a Meeting with the XO back on the Victory he wont a up-to-date report on this matter send me a detail report on your clean up time schedule and when will the station power supply be back on line fully ."
"Yes sir," Blakus said, without an inch of resentment. Just then Commander Sharp appeared at the doorway to the room and told Matthew that he wanted all personnel back to the ship with the exception of marines and security. He looked towards Blakus.
"LT. Blakus I want you to report to sickbay, then when your'e cleared report back here."
Blakus was about to argue with Sharp but felt he better head to sickbay, the pain in his side was causing him discomfort. "Aye sir," he acknowledged. He tapped his commbadge, =/\=Victory, centre in on my coordinates and beam me straight to sickbay=/\= Moments later Blakus was standing in the Victory's sickbay.
